A law should be made to make it mandatory for every house along any federal/state tarred road to have 4 or more cctv cameras facing the road and around the perimeter of the house.

Then these cctv should be run live and the data stored online and managed by any local/state/federal agency.

That way, security will improve.

We can't keep waiting for federal government to do everything.

If you can afford to build or own a house along any major street or road then you can afford to install cctv around it for your own security and that of others.

If you can afford to spend average of $1000 per month in living expenses in US Canada and Europe, spending less in Nigeria towards your own security isn't bad.

We have left too much in the hands of governments who don't care but are only interested in stealing and securing themselves.

Your life is in your hand. Secure it!

That’s what they are good at, using influential positions to arrest people who publish allegations against them.

You’re a public officer, defend yourself before the public, don’t stifle the press and freedom of speech
Your opinion stinks. So the vp should go on a shouting match with the lunatic who is fond of publishing false information and that will prove his innocence right?

You should have kept quiet instead of using the space to show the world your lack of common sense.

Thanks a lot bro. Please quick clarification, what I want to do is transfer naira to my naira account then use the atm of the naira account to pay for the item... Hope I don't need to go open a dorm account with USD denominated atm card before I can pay for the item or spend up to this limit?
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by LandMann: 1:02pm On Jul 09, 2020
Hello. Has anyone recently paid for an item in USD online using his or her ATM naira card? How much were you charged? I want to pay for a course online and I want to know what rate my bank will charge me and go for a bank that charges less...if they all charge different rates...

Please say your bank name and how much you were charged per dollar. Thanks.

Give Nigerians something new to remember you for sir.

1. Slash renumeration of NASS and all political office holders using executive order.

2. Scrap contract jobs in Nigeria or order the sleeping minister of Labour and Employment and the sleeping ministry to immediately commence monitoring of contract handling companies and how they treat their workers and how they remit tax. Many of them treat their workers bad, deduct taxes and pension from the peanuts they are paid and never remit same to government.

Obasanjo introduced this cancer into Nigeria and it is growing and steadily killing the human capital of this country. That is why many are fleeing from the country once they get the chance.

Poor education, poor infrastructure, slave employment that will never lift you one inch from poverty unless you start involving in illegalities
Politics › Re: COVID-19: Wahab Adegbenro Is Dead! Ondo Health Commissioner Dies by LandMann: 3:19pm On Jul 02, 2020
Okay. I do hope that this covid 19 situation opens the eyes of our politicians who are fond of stealing and going to store the wealth abroad where they use it to develop their country.

Keep your loot in Nigeria if you cannot keep your fingers from stealing. Use it to build business and provide supporting infrastructure around your area...

When yawa gas, like it has now, you will be stuck in your area and forced to live with the development you brought or the underdevelopment you caused

Use your senses Nigeria politicians
Politics › Re: Buhari Swears In Muheeba Dankaka, Chairman, Members Of FCC, RMAFC, Others by LandMann: 3:03pm On Jul 02, 2020
RMAFC is very inactive in this country. They are the ones responsible for setting up the salary and bogus renumeration system for NASS and other political office holders and it's time they wake review everything downwards by 70%.

Each of them that has a business has certainly cut down cost and salaries of their workers these trying times... Yet they continue to fleece the country and hide under the banner of serving the country while they are in reality serving their pockets.

Buhari slash their salary before you leave office.

You are old and have achieved what most great men have achieved and you have nothing to lose if you pull your weight to cut the cost of governance buy outrightly slim fitting the salaries and renumeration of lawmakers and political office holders.

Leaving them to use their common sense to reduce it won't work at all.

Reread my post...

Read computer science to get solid theoretical foundation plus degree in case he wants to further.

At the same time, start learning programming from day one in school to get practical experience.

Career › Re: School Or 6 Digits Income Per Month? by LandMann:
If you leave school now you will regret it later... Look at all the politicians using oluwole certificates and getting exposed... They ran after money instead of school when their brain was still hot and later tried to forge certificate or buy when seeing they can't cope with academic stress or demands.

I advise you to make the amount that will allow you to graduate with a second class upper... Then be investing the money and also develop yourself and pay attention to your studies... Two more years and you're out of school and you can focus all your energy on making the money.

If you leave now, you will forget everything school before one year cos of hustle... Then when time reach to go back school it will become hard cos bookwork is gone from your brain... Next thing, oluwole certificate go begin creep enter your mind.

In summary bro, face both now, invest what you are making now in yourself to build knowledge so acada is easy for you then invest the rest in good investment like land or other good investment that won't fail...then try make 2.1... after 2 year you are free.

Alternatively, quit school and focus 100% on money... Then set timetable and use Khan Academy for self study to keep in touch with your school topics EVERYDAY at least one hour... (VERY IMPORTANT CONDITION)... Especially maths, depending on your field, physics chemistry economics English... 5-10 years time, or when you feel you're ready, go back to school and you'll be able to cope then... If you don't keep in touch with your studies with Khan Academy or use other resources to keep in touch with your books, my brother it will end in tears when you try to go back after a long time o...

Use the defer admission option if possible o so you can continue where you left off... Don't just stop going to school like that... Officially defer your academics by informing the school... I believe schools have a time limit or so... That's if you want to choose the option of leaving school.

Best of luck

Properties › Re: What Is Your Worst Experience With A Landlord Or Landlady? by LandMann: 8:38pm On Jun 09, 2020
odimbannamdi:
Most landlords will kick against payments in piecemeal. It is even usually in your agreement that you will pay at least yearly, and it will be a breach of agreement if you do otherwise.

The more responsible thing to do is to set aside the monthly rent from the onset and invest in a financial instrument. By the end of the year, the investment should have accrued an interest of at least 5%.

This way you will kill 2 birds with one stone - paying your rent in line with the agreement and getting the money to work for you as well.
Even at that you still lose cos you could have invested the money you are paying and earned another interest. Charging rent for such a duration should be illegal cos it's illegal in many developed countries.

House Renting Tips

1. Avoid houses with only landlady. If the landlord is still alive in charge then good. If not, just search further.

2. If you like your privacy, then set boundaries from the onset. If you are always jumping into people's room then no-one will respect your privacy.

3. Don't owe rent at all. Negotiate before you move in. If it's two or three months rent you can pay at once, make it clear and pay when due to keep your respect and avoid unnecessary embarrassment.

4. As for those who pay yearly rent, I salute you. Perhaps you don't yet know the time value of money.
Politics › Re: Zahrah Audu Throws Out Tenants, Defies Court Order by LandMann: 4:56pm On Jun 09, 2020
You have not shared the full story of what transpired but you brought this embarrassment upon yourself...

Before a landlord can do this, they must have given you notice to quit either because of your inability to pay rent or their need to use the house for other things.

Instead of you to pay rent or reason with the landlord, you run go collect injunction for court, the same way our politicians abuse courts by collecting injunctions... and the dumb judge will issue injunction without hearing from the affected party...
