One Sadhu called Amar Bharati has held his arm up for 43 years in devotion to the god Shiva.

As well as giving up material possessions, living in caves and performing acts of endurance, Sadhus are also helped along in their quest for spirituality by smoking cannabis before bathing in the river Ganges.

But not every Sadhu completes the same ritual as Hindu worship includes a wide variety of different devotions, depending on the origin of Sadhu and the guru they trained with.

Some pursue a life of solitary wandering and others live in communities.

But, others are known for much more macabre practices, such as the Black Sadhu known as the Aghori.

This is an intense type of Sadhu who go far beyond mere austerity and make it their life’s work to overcome taboos such as meditating over corpses or even eating human flesh.

The Sadhus who perform acts of endurance are known as the Fakir.

Some 200,000 Hindu pilgrims arrived in Allahabad for the 45-day festival which began on January 2.

Worshippers stay in makeshift houses or tents and bathe in the holy water of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.

The Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which is held every 12 years.

Four fairs are widely recognised as the Kumbh Melas, which are the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, the Allahabad Kumbh Mela, the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha, and Ujjain Simhastha

The Magh Mela of Allahabad is annual probably the oldest festival dating from the early centuries and has been mentioned in several Puranas (holy texts).

But, the Kumbha myth is relatively recent probably dating back to the mid-19th century.

Hi, I am computer Engineer and I have a project at hand to manage some inventories, these inventories are very large paper rolls used for manufacturing cartoons used in the packaging of various products. I will like anyone that has used a point of sale software/bar coding system to manage such inventory to share ideas with me or we can even work on this project together, The following details should be put into consideration when you are preferring a solution:

1. The paper rolls are very large, and can only be moved around with a fork lift
2. It would have been easy to print and attach bar-code labels to the other layers of the paper rolls but some of the layers of the rolls get damaged in transit and this would render the bar-code labels useless
3. Some of the paper rolls are kept outside the warehouse under sun and/or rain, so our barcoding system has to be both water and heat resistant.
