PoliticsRe: Tompolo Endorses President Tinubu For Second Term, Declares Fubara Will Return by Lanruze: 11:32am On Apr 27, 2025
The value of Tompolo's contract through Tantita for the protection of Pipelines is in excess of N5B monthly.

Even if you are cursed as a mortal and you have access to such humongous funds monthly would you want to stop your source of livelihood.

Tomopolo is speaking for himself and his Egbesu,Ijaw brothers of the Delta extraction.

PBAT goes nowhere in 2027, Abacha got more endorsements whilst alive and the end game is well documented.

2027 is different, the votes is in the hand of the 100million multi-dimensionally poor Nigerians and not Tompolo and his Egbesu brothers.

GDP in 2014 = $ 510B (PDP)
GDP in 2025 = $ 186B (APC)

You see, if you take time to interview those politicians especially state Governors and Legistlators decamping, it's based on the FAAC Allocation windfall in "Naira".

These Governors have become billionaires in Naira and allocations have significantly improved based on higher naira remittances from FIRS and Customs.

The well meaning southerners who have seen between this PBAT Government will collaborate with the core North to remove PBAT in 2027 without the influence of the thieving elite.

At the peak of the Abacha regime recall that he was endorsed by five (5) political parties which late Chief Bola Ige termed the five fingers of a leprous hand.

The mass of the Youths, Nigerians in diaspora and the suffering MSMEs whose business have had to face shrinking margins, high energy cost and staggering interest rates will "reward" Dr. Emilokan in equal measure.

Tell me a new cadre of Billionaires that this PBAT regime has birthed and a sector that has consistently blossomed in the last 24 months ?

2027 will not just be a shocker, but a generational statement that " enough is enough".

Asides from being slow and a d**ce, take your time to read the quote of the Chairman of GAC in Lagos State Prince Tajudeen Olusi.

He said clearly that indiginous Lagosians constitute less than 40% of the current population of Lagos State.

In effect meaning that since Lagos State is cosmopolitan and populous your vague and myopic assumptions may not be accurate.

Four LGs in Lagos State is currently dominated by the other tribes including part of the eti-osa LG

Why does Peter Obi give you erection ? Why ?

I am not a Peter Obi fan but if states in the core north support him, it's a done deal.

ProudlyLagos:

If you are politically savvy, but we know most obidence are not so bright grin the election would be the easiest election for any incumbent in the history of elections in Nigeria grin

He would be lucky if he wins any state outside his tribal enclave….if you are still thinking about winning Lagos, then expect to meet the rude shock of your life grin
PoliticsRe: Defection: Peter Obi Won Millions Of Votes Without Single Governor, Says PDP by Lanruze: 10:01pm On Apr 24, 2025
Dear PDP Destroyer,

Keep quite.

It's a known fact that there is a silent memo that Peter Obi and his Obidient movement are the greatest "political threat" to the presidential seat as they keep growing exponentially with the each political miscalculation of the centre.

Stay there and continue with your over hype of PBAT.

The decamping you see are giving the mass of Nigerians and the opposition a clear and informed decision on how to approach the elections in 2027.

Don't worry 2027 is not too far.

Nigerians will shock you and your paymaster.

PDPdestroyer:
Then they should make Obi their flagbearer for 2027 if e sure for them, let’s see if they believe he can go head-to-head with Tinubu grin
PoliticsRe: Defection: Peter Obi Won Millions Of Votes Without Single Governor, Says PDP by Lanruze: 9:50pm On Apr 24, 2025
Ekiti is 100% Tinubu, Osun Governor may decamp as Gov. Adeleke already had meetings with Akande, Aregbesola is only strong amongst Ilesha people as such Osun is very unsure for PDP.

The only SW state that may gain the sympathy of PDP is Oyo State because of the performance of Engr. Seyi Makinde.

All other states in the SW are for APC no waste your time.

spiSeyi:
PO just needs to merge with Atiku to break APC wings grin and align with Seyi Makinde to pocket Oyo state bcs Osun state is already secured for PDP Ondo & Ekiti will be shared almost equally while Ogun state goes to APC. If PDP can secure OYO + Osun in SW then they will win bcs I believe Atiku will take 60% of Northern blocks . Lag will be brutal but PO can still cut a large chunk even if he won't win this time
PoliticsRe: More Govs Are Coming To APC, Tinubu's Positive Reforms Responsible - Gov Sule by Lanruze: 9:17pm On Apr 24, 2025
I am very sure of something and with the feedback through social media alone that I have read on all handles today Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram and Whatsapp communities I belong to ; A large percentage of Nigerians residing in Nigeria have been negatively affected by PBATs reforms especially PMS subsidy removal.

Only an insignificant fraction of the populace have benefitted from the policies of PBAT which includes this Governor - Sule Abdullahi and other "so called" defecting Governors to the APC.

Allocations have improved as such Governors now have more bounty to siphon and divert to their private pockets. When elections are around the corner, they will start with their hypocritical sharing of freebies and palliatives.

With the uncoordinated resolve of the Nigerian masses those defecting Governors will regret this political move forever.

Indeed 2027 will be APC against the 100 million multi- dimensional poor Nigerians.

God keep us and I will remind you after Election day in 2027.

I personally don't think a controversial and insignificant person like Freeze has the Gravitas to or moral justification to call out FFK .
I mean it's obvious that FFK has matured and been on a low profile since May 29, 2023 and his new repentant status has earned the admiration of at least few who despised him for his "attack dog" nuisance status on Social Media earlier.

Sure PBAT saw same low profile and matured reason to nominate him as an Ambassador.

Unlike the unfortunate european & fellow who takes a penchant is opening petty and trivial unproductive discussions on his foresaken ring-light sessions.

DF the unfortunate europeans new catch is to curse people's parents on his live once you have a dissenting view on his dumb submissions on religion, business and general conversations.

Ibadan is bigger than PH, far bigger .

You so might not be able to compare the esthetics of both cities but I must tell you that Ibadan has significantly improved in terms of the optics.

Trans Amadi can be matched by Oluyole or GRA by Bodija.

DeepSight:
I dont believe one can satisfactorily live a decent upper middle class life in Ibadan to the extent that one can in PH.
However from your "terms of reference" I will have to leave the matter to taste and the resources of the individual.

I accept that you are right in that some of my arguments digressed into matters outside livability.
The reason I mention a mix of international people however, is that I personally find that an attractive trait in any city or country.
TravelRe: 5 Beautiful Nigerian Cities You Can Move To When Relocating From Lagos by Lanruze: 3:52pm On Apr 07, 2025
You have really done a classic submission on the sub-topic of the best cities to live in Nigeria.

Lagos is number one because of its vast opportunities as 60% of commercial activities for large corporates and SMEs including transactions are domiciled in Las-gidi. Yea, the hussle and bussle is not for the faint hearted but it's worth it.

I live in a place dominated by the Igbos and we see new entrants into Lagos hitting it big because of the chain of associates Ndi-Igbo ready to pull themselves up in the business pyramid.

No where comes close to Lagos for now from lower class in Ikorodu to Upper Middle class in Surulere ( Adeniran Ogunsanya, Adelabu etc), Ajah, Gbagada, Okota etc to HNIs like Banana Island, Ikoyi- Old, Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island etc, Issac John Ikeja, Shonibare Estate Ikeja.

Ekó for show.

Ayéwádà.

dkidd:
Well for me If it's not Lagos no need. I have stayed in Abuja and Ibadan and both cities are cool but Abuja if U no really dey connected to the government or have a very high paying job U go suffer. To get updates as a normal hustling guy U go die first and I'm talking both legal and illegal. Food is cheap yes accomodation is not. The roads are super good and the lifestyle is okay but too political for me. U will just be living a basic life and U.

Ibadan on the other hand is quiet but then it's not where someone who wants to attain their full potential should be. If Ur okay with just surviving and staying simple then by all means.

But U see Lagos no matter how it gets U will survive by any means just be willing. U won't just survive, there's a lot of opportunities and options to make way for urself. Just stay alive and keep pushing.

Leaving Lagos to another city in Naija is like living life on reverse. It's better U just move out if U must leave Lagos. Except U are retiring to somewhere close to home in old age.

Very right assertion.

I am sure because of the projected influx of diasporans this December again, Ibadan would be better exploited by tourist.

All the so called " razz" areas within Ibadan have very good and sharp roads.

Governor Makinde really gave Ibadan a lovely face-lift especially on roads rehabilitation.

SmartyPants:
No, that's not true. Central Ibadan is quite clean and has nice spacious roads. There are razz parts of course but if you're a middle class person nothing should really concern you with those parts. Where did you stay when you were in Ibadan?

What's there to educate when it's in plain sight, Ghana' s currency and it's "Nominal"and "Real Value" vs the Nigerian Naira value ? Or is the sub-topic more than that ?

Igbo traders who do inter-country trade between Ghana, Benin Republic and Togo especially in apparels and second hand clothes & designer shoes have commenced backward intergration to Aba Shoe market and clothes market.

Ask people who know Vespa market and Fibre Market what's up.

I am trying to be respectful on this public forum or else I would have called you an a**h**e.

An average Ghanian from a Anglophone country would hedge in CFA instead of the Naira. What's the futuristic attraction on the Naira please and why is a Ghanian going to crave Nigerian currency more ?

Ghana has enjoyed more economic benefits and especially new tourists in the last 4 years and just cedeed the position to Nigeria as a result of [b]detty december.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Administration: Many Spokespersons, Zero Communication by Lanruze: 12:45pm On Apr 05, 2025
The biggest "red flag" in the PBAT Administration is the number of spokespersons he appointed.

Only a Government with sinister and propaganda driven intentions displays such an array of publicist and media handlers appointed.

Infact, One person has assigned himself a-de-facto PR Media handlers role i.e Reno Omokori.

Its indeed a shame.
BusinessRe: Top 10 Strongest Currencies In Africa And World In 2024 by Lanruze: 12:26pm On Apr 05, 2025
Most of the thriving businessmen based in Ghana converted the Cedi to Nigerian Naira during the last " Detty December" and guess what ? They shut down most clubs around the VI/Lekki Axis.

We understand the elementary economics of "Real Value" and Nominal Value of a currency, however, the Naira is seriously undervalued.

It's an affront on a country with FX reserves in excess of $30B and an intimidating large youth population termed to be one of the most underutilized globally to have a exchange rate of $1-N1600

FreeStuffsNG:
Lol at Cedi forming strong. Smh.

Cedi was redenominated in 2007 by knocking off 4 zeroes and since then has lost more than 10 times in value such that 1 new cedi is today equivalent of almost 1 million old cedis.

From 2007 till date, Naira had nearly depreciated by 15 times yet the Ghanaian cedi had depreciated by more than x100,000!

So only ignorant folks will not see the folly of including the Ghanaian cedi on the list. Naira is far worth more! A million cedis in 2007 is now worth about $1 in Ghana whereas a million naira in 2007 is worth about between $600-700 today.

The Ghanaian cedi should not even be on the list in practical terms.
