I have personally known Reuben Abati (PhD) since his days as a columnist before his elevation to Chairman, Editorial board of " The Guardian"

Abati is by far one of the most intelligent Journalist of his generation whilst having the privilege to attend six (6) of his book reviews including a classic one at the Golden Gate in Ikoyi in Year 2001.

The live show where VDM disrespected Dr. Abati was the day I wished he be paid in his own coin.

I felt bad knowing Dr. Abati's antecedents and his stature as someone who avoids public banters.

I watched an episode of your TVC Journalist Hangout yesterday Friday 2nd May, 2025.

One of the anchor's - had the temerity and guts to look the camera in the face and blatantly "lie" that the Warri Refinery is working.

His evidence that the refinery is working is that there is a flame burning at the furnace of the refinery.

However, NNPC reported that it's Warri refinery has not worked since January 25, 2025.
