hot-angel: Powerful in bed? Powerful as in can fight for you? Powerful as in RICH? Powerful as in the words he use? Powerful as in everything?
Popular because he's a thief? Popular because he kills? Popular because he's rich? Popular because he's dating me?
Which one are we talking about?
Well me ooo.. i like a man that people know. I mean like hello.. Even if people don't know him before.. they'll know him when he starts dating me. BUT... he has to be powerful.. And yes.. i mean powerful as in RICH. It's not a must.. it's just a neccessity. Am sure every girl will say powerful as in "rich" so that all ur hearth desires will be full filled. I am sure every girl will say powerful as in "bed" or a man that last long enough.. |

Latoya: it is very wrong to generalize like u did, 75% of benin gals is a huge population, it wuld have been a lil bit better if u said 75% of gals residing in benin and not benin gals, thank goodness u claimed u made the number up.When i said 75% I have looked at cause and effect before making that number up.
I have heard alot about gals in nigeria always been liabilities to guys, which is very wrong at the same time is it only edo gals that r into prostitution? It is common to always call out on them because they r more like into international based prostitution, but come to think of it, it doesnt really matter where its been done. An ashewo is ashewo weather in your father's house, on d streets or overseas. I dont know about generazing...i said 75 cos most of them really dont live outside the US, the few that does let their voice heard so it is easy to trace them just like outcast just confessed she is an edo woman. But anyways..i hope it is less than 75. TI has done it to nigeria as a country but our corruption rating has gone down drastically. In addition, the recent economic reform report by the well respected international organisation gave nigeria a BB- which is a big surprise to the international community... The benin girls can change if an only if more and more economic reforms are implimented in our nation |

I got mine in the festac office, however I know somebody there so it did not waste much time. I felt sorry for the people waiting in line when I arrived. However I totally condem such act because its against humanity. A lot of things needs to be changed in nigeria. It is high time people stopped staying line for the sake of getting an international passport.
Why can't they set up a website where people can apply, then send them an e-mail to visit the passport office on a certain day, so that the office will know they are gona deal with "X" number of people per day. That is how decency starts in a developing country.
I can't wait to go home and change things........ |

Outkast: listen, you cannot, I say cannot generalise like that, come on, what do you think it makes you sound like?75% ko!and you know this how? you happen to know all the benin girls or the so-called 75% Outkast: I'm a responsible,Independent Benin woman who needs absolutely nothing from a man. I work hard for what I have.
larger_20, you're Igbo abi? not to start a clash between ethnic groups, but If you've been to Benin, you'll see that there's fairly a LARGE amount of Igbo people there. Ethinic barrer has nothing to do with this topic outkast. U live in NY, maybe manhattan skyline or across the hudson river. You live life at large and probably will not understand. Maybe u didnt even grow up in benin. I have been there and lived there and most parts of the country including the north. I am not against any ethnic group. I love everyone equally. I don't see any reason for u to be freaky because u can get all the money and care you need. Unfortunatley, most benin girls don't belong to your group and for the fact that benin girls like to be independent, they go about chasing men. There was a time benin girls were shiped back to nigeria from italy for prositution, it came out in the news. This is the fact. What the hell will a young lady be doing with her body if she refused to take order? When i said 75% I have looked at cause and effect before making that number up. Outcast, if you are confortable as I assume and go about chasing men in your state, then you're something else. Again most benin women will behave themselves if they have the money but it isnt so, so chill your a.ss down N'Yoker |
Career › Re: How Much is a Good Salary in Nigeria? by larger20(m): 1:09am On Feb 01, 2006 |
yemupz: i must confess most of u guys aint really facing reality. I read most of the post about 'good salary' in naija and i just can't help laughing. the truth is that there is not single answer as the gap between the well paid and the poorly paid can be really agonising. I have a friend with a B.Sc Microbiology from Unilag that earns 15k a month. I know someone with B.Sc marketing from UNN that earns 20k monthly. I was working almost 13hrs daily for my former boss and he won't pay more than 25k monthly. i had to resign out of annoyance and just 'sit at home' and wait instead of rot away in such a job. Although, i also have a freind in GTbank that earns 90k (after tax) monthly. You see, the word salary means different things in different industries. Some IT firms pay as low as 20k monthly, i know about two in Ikeja. The best paying jobs seems to be oil & Gas, Telecoms (the big ones) and Banks. the worst paying are Pharmaceutical companies, medical labs and esentially most one-man-business. I can go on and on recounting experiences... Why not continue with your job until u get a new one..thats annoying... |

Outkast: That's an extremely general and biased thing to say my dear(as truthhurts already said) I'm sorry you've met with the wrong crowd, wish you luck but abeg revise the statement. It is 75% true. Most of them are trying to hunt oyimbo men on the internet dating sites. They just want to arrange marriage like the russian women. |
