double00d: Go early so you can practice abit and get used to the environment. If you're cold intolerant like me, dress to cover. The organizers were very nice and eager to help, so you'll settle in fine, no tension. Go with all the required documents, photocopies and TWO passports, and dont forget to print out your cv, someone did, the person was just graced that it wasnt the person's time yet. For the verbal; all the passages where new and abit more complex than the online test, but its still possible to attempt all. Stay calm while reading through and making your selection, don't rush through, it's better to be sure of some and do "tum bo" for the rest, than to be unsure of them all. For numerical; To me, each question required even more time to solve than for the online test, but it was still the same underlying principles, so practice to improve your speed. For the essay/article/letter; take the first few minutes to gather your thoughts and bring out points on the topic, then expand on your points. Make sure your writing is legible and your punctuation and word usage are tiptop. Dont interchange "their" for "there", "where" for "were", etc. as we commonly see in nairaland comments Success to everyone. How many photocopies per document? |

TheBatman: bros no over think this issue, the answer is Magazine. Infact you go use the Magazine(s) for the interview. I feel GAAP applicants are having it easy, no unnecessary riddle, nothing unconventional. @ GAAP applicants are having it easy. GMTP is the highlight of Sahara Graduate Recruitment. They only tweet about GMTP, never GAAP or GAP. GAAP revolves around accounting, audit and tax. GMTP is way broader. |

toyinflo: I think it's just more clues to solving the same riddle they sent earlier. Now it seems the answer is MAGAZINE (it's 8 letters and showcases glamor etc). I stand to be corrected. If it really is magazine, you people should buy me a bottle of red wine. I was the first person to mention it on this thread . Someone should send the riddle to the thread. |

agroronnie: All 41 reporting standards + 16 new reporting standards..... highest they may ask you to explain the ones you are familiar with, in this case am very familiar with a handful. I wont be specifically for petroleum industry. I think it will involve the concepts and principles and tax questions and audit.... and a case study in accounting. All the same... preparation begats confidence Actually, 28 IASs...they are not up to 41 as some have been scrapped/replaced. |

Tee2014: Well to the folks accusing me of not being a team player, this is for all of you. As tasking as it it is, i hope it helps us all in our job search.
Its a MAGNETIC TAPE, It is Thin and colorful(When exposed to light - a wide spectra of colors) What most of you used Kerosene to clean back in the days.
It held the thoughts of yesterday and today at that time, Magnetic tape revolutionized broadcast and recording.
It was used to playback video and audio(Multi Purpose) - It is Of pictures, of speeches, of words with lasting laughter
It was a key technology in early computer development, allowing unparalleled amounts of data to be mechanically created, stored for long periods, and to be rapidly accessed -That stays the same time and time again.
You can't destroy the data on it by just waving your hand over it, because of the fact that the magnetic side of most tapes is made of an oxide of iron, it only gets damaged by deterioration caused by hydrolysis of the binder of the tape - The wave of hand never destroying.
Lastly it can be crinkled(without damaging the content), it is crisp and it is clear.
Now the older version of the MAGNETIC TAPE after analyzing plenty history books are "GRAMOPHONE RECORDS" Which is also known as "Vinyl Records"
So go with two copies of that on your interview day.
I wish us all, at this interview stage, the best. ...and someone mentioned it before oh. |

edunho: and mind u, they look out for people who believe in team work... going by ur statement, it goes to show u r not a team player... u believe in an individual taking d whole glory I know you were not referring to him but I would answer on his behalf. You that you are a team player and you believe in team work, what have you contributed to the conversation, ehn ? You posted one time that you had gotten the answer, yet we are have not seen the answer from you . You are busy crucifying someone who has made attempts. Just stay on your lane if you have nothing to contribute to the thinking process. |

bellyjean: Well, I think it might be a picture of you as a baby. OR
A write up about ur self, ur dreams, ur passion.
OR
A write up about your old self. Ur mistakes, the poor decisions u've made etc
The thin colourful, crisp (as in tender; crisp potato chips. But with crinkle preceding crisp, the meaning has been delineated) Albeit, an old picture of you still suffice.
Custodian of dreams, wishes... in my own opinion is still the baby version of me.
The wave of a hand, never destroying. Crinkle, crisp, clear -described. Could mean ur baby photo album
OR
A newspaper that carries the date October 1, 1960. Cos those lines could be describing Nigeria at her independence.
Again, judging from the previous tasks, the answer to this may not be personal to the candidates but be a general thing that the candidates must get The October 1, 1960 newspaper might be correct oh. Why? Sahara always asks for things difficult to get. |

Okpanwu: A friend just called me dat PWC just sent him an email stating his score and the next stage of recruitment. who has seen his/her result in the house? That's just a lie. First, PwC would not send your score to you; only success and regret mails. Second, from antecedents, PwC start sending such mails five days or so after the deadline. Third, the next stage of recruitment is the verification stage. You can see he was elusive as per he just said "next stage of recruitment". With these reasons, I'm sure you understand he was pulling your legs. If he insists he's telling the truth, tell him to send a snapshot of the mail to you. Seeing, after all, is believing. |
