Madlov3: I told her i was going to enroll her in a catering school but haven’t gotten any response from her. DM @ifys.kitchen on IG and ask if her online cooking classes is still open. I bet your girl doesn't have time to go to a formal catering school or she feels it's embarrassing to go to one. Online does it. |

nena2014: . Thanks sam. I will like to share my job search experience, perhaps someone could learn from it in the future. My journey on job search taught me a lot of things about life. I started my job search around June 2016 and since then I have been getting rejections upon rejections. The funny thing is that I get to interview stages and most times the final stage. Aptitude tests was not the problem, I scaled through all the aptitude tests, excluding the pwc online test last year, so what's the problem? I got a very serious blow from a firm I treasured soo much precisely August 31st 2017,at that point I told myself that I won't give up. i started thinking seriously and I realized my problem, it was the interviews and I decided to work on myself. That was when I came across jarus hub materials. I sincerely wanted to attend the mock interview but I couldn't afford it. And then a friend gave me one of jarushub book titled ROAD TO VICTORIA ISLAND, which I used for my interview and it worked. Firstly I acknowledge my heavenly father for his love, my parent and siblings for their words of encouragement . Thanks to my friends, especially friends I met on naira Land who were willing to help me not minding who I am. Therealadonye, samkeniyy, gnen, larochelle, revson, trvc, ascapella, Vivian Ike, datjobhunter, your assistance will never be forgotten by me. Finallllllllllllly my job search has come to an end!!!. After two attempts in pwc.
To those who couldn't make it, I perfectly understands how you feel right now, but please don't give up. There is a reason for everything. |

Catch23: Okay guys, you all need to relax. Calm down. Insisting that interview experiences be put up doesn't make much difference. It's the same from last year, so you can literally get all the information you need for your interview from 2017 thread. I've been in this position before and I know how unsettling post-interviews are, so please cut them some slack and prep for yours. You'll be fine. If they choose to, fine. But if they don't, that's okay.
Also, just something I've noticed so far. Guys, please wear light-coloured shirts. Appearance matters a lot. White, yellow, sky blue, etc.
P. S. The most important thing in your group session is teamwork. I can't say that enough. It's more important than being leader/presenter/time-keeper. Sort yourselves out before you go in and be in sync when discussing issues. Points to help in your group presentations are scattered all over social media. Leverage on them.
Meanwhile, LaRochelle, I found an afang spot today Tell me na . |

MikeAsher2: Alright, so yesterday I met up with someone from on here. She lived close to my office and suggested a 'hang-out' to talk interviews. During lunch break, I spared about 45 mins. I showed up with a sheet of paper and some questions. She was surprised. Lol.
We asked each other questions at one KFC joint, and she was even a bit disappointed that she performed a bit poorly especially with interviews next week. Lol.
I was a bad-ass pretend HR, and then she asked me questions and I tried answering her. We reviewed notes and noted areas for development.
Of course, you know the likely first questions would be: "Tell us about yourself?" if they didn't already ask about how your group members performed. Then they would likely ask "Why PwC?" and these could come in various formats of course. It is how you answer the questions that the interview would likely follow.
Expect a lot of competency questions. After she tried her hands on the intro questions, she flopped in most of the other questions. Yet these are the same questions that have been posted on NL since forever. They are still on here. I asked her if she saw the questions, she said yes, so I asked why she didn't answer very well. She said she thought she had the route to answering the questions very well in her head but at that point she could not quite articulate it.
Those asking how the interviews went just want to hear/read something. Because there is nothing that would likely be new at the stage. The questions have been thrashed many times over. It now depends on how you handle the tension, how you own the questions, answer truthfully, and how much scenarios you offer.
The topics for Group Discussions, well, you can guess them and try to brush up before your interview. However, in my opinion, these are not things you can easily cramp up in your head but are more like what you have known over time. If you follow and read the news normally and went through normal uni/youth experience, you should be able to contribute. Really.
This is why i don't just advise knowing what to answer/say. Say it to yourself in the mirror. Talk to someone, anyone. Contact JarusHub if you want. Except you are naturally good at these things.
I wish you all the best. We out! You deserve a large bowl of afang soup with plenty orisirisi . |

MikeAsher2: Blah Blah Blah, you don't get that no one has to necessarily ask one particular question. It's the eagerness to share, eagerness to even ask questions itself.
OPQ begins tomorrow, some are yet to get regret mail, they know the likely fate, it's usual to vent. Someone could share links to practise tests online,, anyone can drop a sob story as to how they passed the Verify Tests and we're dropped at the OPQ stage, explaining likely reasons so candidates this time avoid it.
Go through other threads, and see if it flourished by one people asking a random question
You don't just get. You sef when you start work, only talk to people when you have questions you hear. This is the same cultural and personal fit PwC OPQ is trying to weed out, you should willingly collaborate with others. Don't only establish a connection with people when you need them, relationships are oiled. Bless you, brother. |

damilee: Alright so, i will like to give some tips to those that will apply next year:
- Pray without Ceasing ( God is important) - Start practicing from this year - Practice Online SHL a lot of times and work on being fast - Be familiar with PwC values - For Group discussion, try to take responsibility (Time Keeper/ Presenter/ Facilitator) - When presenting your points, you could build on a team member's point, this shows u would make a good team member. But also try to present a totally new point -Start reading all these economic/political stuffs that we youths find boring, they would definitely ask about something related to the economy - During your interview, try to be truthful as much as u can because they would definitely refer back to one thing you said and you know Integrity is highly valued by an Audit company like PwC - Also don't depend on only this thread, read previous year's threads too - And make sure you don't develop high blood pressure while waiting for their feedback mails. - believe in yourself too
By the way, i got to the last stage last year and I wasn't employed, so for those that didn't get in this year, Please be persistent. No harm in trying again. I also got to Access Bank's last stage, NSE's last stage last year too, Sterling bank as well but i wasn't employed. Remember a winner is someone who tried one more time. For those of us that got in, remember this is just the beginning. There is still a long way to go. So, we must not rest on our oars. Shoutout to the op of this thread , other contributors and ghosts and all. God bless everyone, We wll surely meet at the top The group discussion, even if you're not a time keeper, presenter or facilitator, be a key contributor. My group's topic was something on recession in Nigeria. I had been following up on it plus I wrote an essay on it, so you could say I was quite knowledgeable on that matter. So, when I saw the topic, I told myself I wouldn't take up any position but be a key contributor. When it was time for personal interview, for some reason I can't understand, I was now nervous that I started rapping (talking very fast). The HR lady then asked if I wanted to perform well on the interview. You know my answer. She said I should be the way I was during the group discussion. So, appaz, they noticed my contribution and the fact that I was very comfortable with the topic. They even gave me few minutes to chill and get myself together. (I always had nice interviewers .) So, in essence, if you're very knowledgeable in your group's topic, it would be better for you to be a key contributor and leave the others to your group members. You don't want to appear like you're overshadowing them, y'know. |

juddexy2: Guys.. I just checked through the last year's thread and noted that mails were sent July 11th at about 3pm and expected resumption date was Oct 4th(refer to page 58 of 2016 thread) . Using this as a analytics tool. Mails are likely sent 2nd week of July or at most 3rd week. (I may not be certain about the particular date nor time buh this could be a reliable estimate).so prepare your mind henceforth.
We pray success for everybody but the bitter truth is that regret mails are still gonna be sent. However, it could either be a positive or negative feedback, let us brace up. PwC is not the end of the journey. Let's just prepare our minds for the worst while hoping for the best. Congrats to we all in advance! You people sha finally made me do this permutation and combination. Although mails were sent July 11 last year, their interviews ended April 22. That means they waited for close to three months. Our set, interviews ended May 12, we are not up to two months on the waiting game. I am not implying anything, as I don't know how HR would calculate the waiting period this time. My point is that we all should go and chill. We might just be doing the wrong calculations. |
