jayinfo2: Hello nairaland, please help a brother I just came to a consciousness that I can't do thing's by my power again. I have relied on my capabilities and have failed. Now I know it's only God that can direct me right.
I have made a resolution to get closer to God but I can't do this all by myself
That is the reason I came back to Lagos from the north.
I currently stay at Abule Egba Lagos and I need a good church that I can be committed to and would help my spiritual and physical life even if it is not near Abule Egba. Since I don't have the holy spirit yet to lead me to a good Church.
Please tell me a good church that can bring me back to life.
I really need your help . Go where the word is being preached not where miracles are paraded on hanger. Shun cheap talk about what preachers have and focus more on what they carry. I have been a member of Living faith church and not for once have I had cause to regret my being a member. I get the word raw apply it and I became a miracle worker. We are taught the word cause the grass is evergreen for us. We are made a territorial commanders not a miracle seeker. Above all have a right standing with God, search for light by reading his word and keep winning soul for Christ, nothing brings cheap victory like your personal relationship with God. Ask the devil he knows and that he why he will make you accept comment that says church is a scam, cause the only one scammed is the person that finds himself/herself in hell!!!!! |

360metrosports: A 47-year-old businessman has sued his wife of 11 years at an Igando Customary Court in Lagos seeking for the dissolution of his marriage with his wife over her alleged infidelity and receiving telephone calls from men at odd hours.
Joseph Alimi is seeking to end marriage over his wife’s alleged adulterous life.
“My wife is cheating on me, she receives calls from men at odd hours,” he said.
According to Alimi, who accused his wife of going out and returning at will, also claimed that her wife abandoned her matrimonial home for one year. “My wife abandoned me and the children for one year for an unknown destination; she came back and left for another seven months,” he added.
“She was always going to parties and spending days before coming back”. According to the businessman, his wife and a son she had from another man joined group of gang to attack him in his church with cutlass, rods and other dangerous weapons.
“My step-son that I trained came to my church with his gang in order to beat me up because I beat his mother,” he said.
He urged the court to terminate the marriage, adding that he was no longer in love with his wife.
But the wife, a 40-year-old trader, Folake Alimi, on Wednesday told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos that she caught her husband making love to a girl on their matrimonial bed. The woman said this while responding to a divorce suit filed by her husband whom she accused of cheating on her.
“I came home unannounced and I caught my husband making love to a girl; he jumped up when he noticed my presence. “I also saw him with a woman in a hotel near our house when I went to buy food,” she claimed. He begged me not to expose him because of his position in the church and I kept it a secret,” the wife said.
According to her, the husband was always jealous and had often accused her of dating every man he saw her with. “My husband stopped me from working claiming men are dating me,” she said. The mother of four said that what used to cause their frequent fights was his penchant for buying things for the children of his first wife and ignoring her own.
She begged the court not to grant her husband’s wish for the dissolution of the marriage, claiming that she was still in love with him. The President of the court, Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case till June 28 for further hearing

9jakohai: Hmmm
Sorry, but you actually have a problem...and that is pride.
Remember, the pastor asked you to tuck in your shirt. He did not ask you to go and steal, cheat, lie,or do something that is dishonorable to God.
Thing about being a Chirsitan is that we have to humble ourselves, and follow what our Elder in Christ has to say sometimes.
Modified
I did not know that expressing my opinion on Nairaland could make me so popular.
The sad thing about most of the responses to me here are the fact that some of them have chosen to insult me and call me unprintable names.I have also gotten threatened once too.Chrisitanity in Nigeria has a lot of work to do among the adherents....
For those who tried to politely engage my comment...a big thank you. Yes...tucking in does not make a man right before God...it is what is in his heart that counts. But...at the same time...out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Leaving church because of being asked to tuck in shirt does not show a humble heart.
Am sure that if the OP was asked to tuck in his shirt at his placeof work...he would do so immediately...because he does not want to lose his job.(Being a bit facetious here...I know).
Finally....the point here is humility. Being humble is an ongoing process. It is one I go through everyday...and one I hope to keep on going through. As long as I stay within God's Word.
God bless everyone who put me in their mentions...good and bad. I still love you all anyway!
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
James 4 vs 10 Jesus o, see common sense as e plenty for your head, yet many nairalander don't have. God bless you jare. @Op Come to think of it you are a worker in the church and yet don't attend meetings,"pride personified". I guess you know all workers in church have a dress code yet you choice to misbehave, "pride personified"! I'm sure the man of God must have been observing you before he choose to publicly carried out the outburst, cause from your write up you've been a member for quite some time now. Grow up now and don't turn church into a brothel where anything goes. I am 100% sure that their was something very wrong about your dressing that day. You better change because God no need you o na you need God. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Traumatized Nigerian Doctor Shares His Experience With A Ghost by larrybee2017(f): 3:08pm On May 28, 2017 |
duketunde: "I encountered the ghost of a dead woman yesterday night/early hours of this morning. Remembering it still sends chills across my body. Personally, I don't believe in ghosts. I know that it is appointed unto men once to die, and after that, judgment follows. I said let me tell you, to hear your opinion. I don't know who else to confide in about this. I'm a doctor. I can't be telling stories about ghosts online. No one will believe it. I'll sound insane.
Yesterday night that brought in today, I took call for a colleague who was having menstrual pain. She begged me to do the call for her. Then, a woman was brought in with what I suspected to be post surgical sepsis. The op site was soaked with effluent from the wound. The surgery was done at State Specialist Hospital three days prior to presenting to us. Her temperature read "Hi" on the thermometer, which means her body was so hot that the thermometer could not record it. I called my seniors who were in theatre then, told them what I have with me in the emergency, and I took instructions from them. I secured IV access. I gave 2g of IV cefriaxone (Rocephin brand) stat, and IV Flagyl 500mg stat. She was going. I called my seniors again and told them temperature is not coming down after one hour. I was told to give IV PCM 600mg stat. I then reopened the wound, washed with NS, and redressed with savlon and povidone iodine.
She was a Yoruba Christian. She was praying, holding my hands, saying that I should not let her die, that she still has little children at home. She then started behaving abnormally, talking irrationally and screaming, also convulsing intermittently. At this point, I called a senior who came in, assessed her and told me privately that she won't make it. He told me to continue masterly activity which I did.
She finally died after few hours she was brought in. I certified her dead in her file, disconnected all life support, and went to my house to sleep around 3am when the call got less busy. I was weak and sad. Did you know, this woman followed me home. I was shocked when I felt there was someone looking at me from my window. My body was shaking. I've never believed in ghosts, but she came to my window and stood there, with same clothes she was wearing when she was brought in. She said why did I allow her to die. I was lost for words for a moment, thinking I was dreaming. But damn, it wasn't a dream. I just drank coke from the fridge few minutes ago. I rebuked her in Jesus' name, telling her I did my best. I told her to go back to where she came from. She stood there for a while, looking at me, then turned and walked away. I heard her footsteps as she walked away. I didn't sleep again till morning. I opened the fridge and took out coke and drank, to be sure I was not dreaming, then started praying in tongues to control the fear in my heart."
What can be a reasonable explanation for this?
Credit: Chukwudi Iwuchukwu on https://web.facebook.com/chukwudi.iwuchukwu?hc_ref=NEWSFEED The only simple explanation to this is imagination. You wish you could help and probably keep thinking about it. then in your sub conscious mind you created an image of her through your imagination. Their is nothing like ghost anywhere op, she died and that is the end except you want to allow some familiar spirit to be manipulating you. Just like tongue your imagination is also so powerful and if you are not careful you will create and avenue for the devil to keep manipulating you. Your felt so bad when she gave up the ghost and probably blaming yourself that you could have done better I guess that prompted the imaginary picture of her. Clear your mind of her thought and move on. Ko si akudaya kankan ni anywhere |

PointZerom: Buhari is King Asa of Nigeria. This king was a wicked king and God allowed sickness to come upon him to see if he will repent. Messengers of God went to visit him and told him to amend his ways, he became angry and imprisoned them. In his sickness he didn't seek God. And he died in his sickness.
Those praying for Buhari should know that Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Buhari should show mercy to the likes of Dasuki and others by obeying court order that said they should go on bail.
Buhari as you chained these people in prison, so shall sickness chain you in hospital. Every medicine given to you shall become poison to your system. Haba! Eyi o wa poju |

azimibraun: Thou shall not judge is what some will say God said. I want to just say two things real quick.
1. Seriously this is very very sad and cannot be justified. But again we must ask ourselves just like that? He was put to eternal rest with his whole family? Remember i say no justification for this but we must investigate and learn lessons from what has already happened. Just imagine if this same thing happens to one of this killers of the family in focus sometime in the future? we will scream and shout at KARMA. Who knows what the Man has done to other families before? The sad thing is that we do things and our innocent families, wives and kids pay the price for what they know nothing about. May be the killer had brought down the Man and everybody in the family knew him as a family friend or an associate of the Man so he eliminated all witnesses. This massacre goes beyond ordinary quarrel. This is the kind of thing that happens mostly to a fellow gang member who has participated in crime together with hs killer before.
2. A sin is a sin before God almighty but I will rather fornicate than bring down children of God in this brutal and brutish manner. God help us with powers over sin. The bold got me laughing though. May God deliver us all from our past sins and have mercy on us |
