Re: Sahara Reporters’ Publication Alleging That Tsobo Militias, in Collaboration With a Group in Gombe, Attacked the Bachama People It is both unfortunate and deeply embarrassing that an online news platform such as Sahara Reporters would publish a story with misleading claims, portraying the peace-loving Tsobo people as militias. Such reporting not only misinforms the public but also unfairly maligns an entire community. For the record, the Tsobo people were asleep on the night of Sunday, December 7, 2025, when coordinated attacks were launched across our communities by individuals from the Bachama Kingdom. Unfortunately, this did not come to us as a complete surprise, as these aggressors had consistently issued threats and attacked our people in their farms and along the Lafiya access road leading to our communities. During earlier attempts by security agencies to broker a peace accord, the Hama Bachama refused to sign the agreement. The Local Government Chairman, himself a Bachama son, ignored the growing threats against our people. The Member of the House of Representatives, whom we had hoped would intervene to halt the crisis, also showed no concern. We understand he only issued a statement following the killing of some Bachama women by the military over unrelated misconduct. I am particularly shocked by the scale and intensity of the attacks on our communities, burning, killing, and widespread destruction in Wami ii, Bashaka and Sabon Layi communities, that lasted for more than ten hours. Throughout this period, there was no response from the Adamawa State Government, the Lamurde Local Government, or the relevant security agencies. Their silence and inaction enabled the attackers to execute their plans fully before a curfew was eventually declared. We have every reason to believe that our people are being targeted for annihilation. The existential threat facing the Tsobo community is real and undeniable. In view of the clear and escalating threats against our people, carried out with the support of Bachama elites, and in light of the inability or unwillingness of the Adamawa State Government to protect us, we urgently call on the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take the following actions: 1. Dispatch a delegation to the Tsobo communities in Lamurde Local Government to obtain firsthand information on the destruction and violence perpetrated against our people, allegedly supported by Bachama elites, including the Hama Bachama who refused to sign the peace accord. 2. Assess the level of damage and provide immediate humanitarian relief to affected communities. 3. Investigate the conduct of security agencies for their failure to intervene, prevent killings, or stop the destruction of property. Finally, we urge Sahara Reporters to exercise responsibility and professionalism. If they lack the personnel or capacity to verify events on the ground, they should refrain from rushing to publish inaccurate and inflammatory reports. Emmanuel Ibrahim (A concerned Tsobo Native) |
In the early hours of today 8th December 2025, heavily armed Bachama militia burnt houses and killed scores in the Tsobo community of Lamurde local government, Adamawa state. The attack was said to have begun at about 2am today and has continued unabated with villagers fleeing their homes to neighboring communities. This is happening despite presence of military personnel who had been stationed to ensure peace and order. The government has declared a curfew but the attackers have been advancing without restraint. |
[i]There is nothing absolutely wrong with her wearing a skirt. It's the same material, it's the same uniform. Even in the military, you have women who put on their skirts. Trouser is not for women! It's for men. Even if the whole women Worldwide put on trousers, it doesn't make it right. She is not man! And so her putting on skirt is not a crime. Infact she is a worthy example for the ladies. Man of God Sir, can you quote a passage of the scriptures that frowns at wearing trousers by females? |

CHILD FOUND WITH DISPATCH RIDER NOT STOLEN - POLICE On 11th March, 2022, a video of a dispatch rider accused of concealing a suspected stolen child in a courier box went viral on the social media, causing apprehension. Although the incident was not reported at any police station, however, the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, directed that the incident should be investigated immediately. In compliance with the directive, investigation was initiated which led to the discovery of the scene. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the child was not stolen afterall and that he was not kept in the courier box as alleged by the mob. The child's mother, Lovina Biturs, was contacted. It was then revealed that the child was actually taken away and put on the dispatch motorbike by the rider with the consent of his mother. According to the mother, the 10-month-old baby is fond of the rider who is a relative, a neighbour and was crying uncontrollably when he (rider) wanted to go pick up something in the neighbourhood. To pacify the baby, his mother allowed him go with the rider. Passersby who saw the child with the rider along Sangotedo area, Ajah on the said day, became suspicious and concluded that the child might have been stolen, raised the alarm which attracted a mob. The mob subsequently pounced on the rider, beating him without finding out the truth. The dispatch rider later identified as Williams Tadule, was said to have been rescued by the Chairman of the Sunview Estate, Sangotedo. The Commissioner of Police, therefore warns members of the public against any form of jungle justice as such uncivilized action has grave consequences. The bloggers who lied for clicks and traffic are the ones to be blamed in this case. The child was on the tank and not in the box... She should be arrested quickly. You gave your child to your ur brother... He put the baby in the dispatch box, not minding suffocation and the lethal danger on the kid... During traffic congestion when the baby was crying, he should have parked and at least check on the baby, not trying to beat the traffic at all cost. Both the mother and the rider should be arrested and charged or even killed, mothers, these days, do sell their children.
|
Staged comeback!!! So the best place for your child was inside a box? What if he suffocated? This woman need to be arrested!! The child was never in the box but on the tank. Hungry bloggers deceived gullible minds like you. |
I pray you don't die due to false accusation. That guy isn't a kidnapper but a neighbour to the child's parents and the child wasn't in the box as claimed but on the tank. God came through for him, otherwise he would have been unjustly mobbed. This is one reason I don't support jungle justice as good as it may appear, many innocent have been unjustly punished. As in, those guys in that area fall person hand, how can they hand him to the Police clean like that? Police self fit dey doubt the crime leveled on him per say, there is no mangled bleeding face to match the crime…..I think they should bring the guy back and redo it from the beginning again.
|
This is NOT true. The young man is that video was falsely accused of kidnapping the child. In reality, the mother of the child gave him the child because they are neighbours. The child was not in the box but on the tank. Upon arrest, the young man in his defence took the security operatives to the child's mother who confirmed that the dispatch rider is her neighbour who the child is fond of. He has since been released and the child to its mother. It's unfortunate that hungry bloggers here and there are quick to post stories just for clicks without considering the integrity of those concerned... |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think we Christians should be ashamed of ourselves for heating up the polity unnecessarily. We Christians and Muslims should understand that Nigeria do not revolve around our both faiths. We have traditionalist and nonbelievers who have been politically marginalized all this years without been given any sort of consideration. There is nothing bad in having a Muslim/Muslim ticket if we truly care about the development of our country. We have had a Christian VP In Osinbajo for almost 8 years, how has it helped we Christians?
