Politics / NADECO Declares Tinubu's Election Election Illegal, Calls For Global Rejection by lastgenious(m): 5:22pm On Mar 19, 2023
The Executive Director of NADECO, USA, Lloyd Ukwu, has announced at an international news conference on the “2023 Nigerian Election Crisis” that Tinubu’s election is illegal, and the pro-democracy group has cut ties with him. Ukwu urged the Biden administration and the world not to acknowledge Tinubu’s election and planned a series of activities over the next few weeks to address the recently held presidential election in Nigeria.

NADECO claims that the election results pronounced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on February 25-26, 2023, violate Nigerian election laws, and Nigerian voters are fundamentally disenfranchised due to the country’s corrupt political structure. The group demands that INEC allows transparency and verification of the 2023 electoral processes and alleges that practically all of the electoral reforms to protect the Nigerian elections have been compromised by INEC.

NADECO calls on the people and judiciary of Nigeria and the international community to condemn and reject the flawed and illegitimate result declared by INEC, and the Biden administration to withhold recognition until there is confirmation that the election was free of serious corruption and fraud. The group also asks the US Congress to pass a resolution against recognizing the result of the election and supports the empaneling of a team of international experts to inspect and analyze INEC servers and BVAS to extract the actual votes.

Jobs/Vacancies / Job Offer In Port Harcourt Is It A Scam ? HELP by lastgenious(m): 9:56pm On Feb 19, 2023
Good evening everyone, please I need someone to help me out with an information I consider very important. I have an uncle who traveled to P/H some months back and according to him, he found a company through the help of his former boss who got fired from his job as a bank manager her in the north. According to him, the new job is with a company called "Bernhard H Mayer" and this company pays them a weekly wages of $250 USD. He has been offered one slot which he wishes that I come over an occupy. However, the registration fee for the processing of international passport accommodation and other things will cost #650,000 reason being that over time we may be required to travel to malaysia, Singerpore, etc for further training. To be honest he sounds very convincing but I'm confused because GNLD taught me a bitter lesson. Please is there anyone who can attest to the legitimacy of this company and whether it is another MLM. Please help and God bless you.

Some people usually say they are too busy or afraid to go to the polling unit on election day because of the possibilities of violence. But this time we all go and die their. You stay at home hunger will still kill you or kidnappers will still locate you, so we better go and die at the polling unit.

What surprise me the most is how trained soldiers just die like chickens. 30 for crying out loud. Haba, what a shame.

They train everyday, they have air advantage, and then some group of untrained villagers with guns just run them down like they were some sick chickens.

Even in full-blown war before 30 soldiers die sometimes it takes days even weeks. But in Nigeria just one attack 30 soldiers. Unbelievable

Y'all don't read?

It sounds to me like, we don't practice because many don't understand its full potencies. And that still boils down to we are not ripe for democracy

FERNANDEZISBACK:
The problem of Nigeria is Nigerians.. grin
Firstly Nigeria is not practicing democracy you guys are experimenting democracy know the difference amongst the two...Democracy have qualities and characteristics which includes free and fair election..rule of law.. adherence to public opinions..respect to opposition..majority rules and independent judiciary...

When you begin to study the above characteristics you find out that this things are lacking in the political administration of Nigerian government so the answer here is democracy can only be said to be working in a country that practice democracy not the one that is experimenting democracy like Nigeria...

Nigeria doesn’t have a democratic government...Don’t blame democracy for the failings of inequality...Blame the wealthy who dominate governments... grin

Seems most Nigerians are cool with their bad leaders..so why not(

So, are you confirming the saying that Nigeria is not ripe for democracy?

Hello nairalanders, I saw this topic on Facebook where someone talked about our Democratic system of government and for me, I totally agree with him what do you all think. Could this be what will fix Nigeria ?

ERROR IN DEMOCRACY
The major flow of democracy is that it was structured to work well in developed nations without considering the underdeveloped nations where majority of the population are not intellectually sound to decide who should be a leader in this current civilization.

The process of choosing leaders in this current dispensation requires that the individual who is saddle with the responsibility of voting, can at least read. An individual who can not read, does not know the qualities a leader should possess to be able to compete with the trend of the global economy.

To him/her, a good leader is simply someone who is perceived to have good heart, or someone who is well known or have the fear of God.
So, to this kind of person, his uncle that everyone knows to be a honest and trust worthy man is qualified to lead the country which is not true.

Democracy can never do well in a country were the majority of the people at the polls can not tell between a qualified aspirant and an opportunist.
That is why some of the voters thinks that the man sharing money, clothes, foods, etc during campaign and at the polling units, has a good heart and is going to have compassion on the masses when he assumes power.
Even if this was true, unfortunately being a good leader in the 21st century goes beyond having a good heart.

So, in my opinion, democracy shouldn't have allowed everyone to participate in the process of choosing especially the leader of a country provided they are of voting age. Their is a reason why the olden days systems didn't allow any kind of person to become a king maker, so why should we do that now that the world has become more complex and volatile?

People should be allowed to attain a certain level of education, and their performances should determine if they should be given the voters card. That is the only way democracy can work in any third world country.

The ego of these politicians will not allow them to help this country. We all know that to allow fairness this time, the presidency should go to the south so why won't kwankwaso just accept to be the vice. In fact the vice will in the long run enjoy it most because he will most likely be a vice president for 8 years and still be the president for another 8 years.

That was what killed my brother. We took him to a private doctor who told us that he will give the boy anti-rabies 6 shots for #2500 each which he did, but to our surprise after one month the boy started convolging. We took him to the hospital but the doctors said what they gave him was not anti-rabies. And that the rabies has already gotten into his brain so its too late. That was how he died after three days. My advise, each shot of anti-rabies cost #10,000 and you most take six shots don't waste up to 2 weeks without starting the treatment. If you don't have money, hold the owner of the dog and let him take you to the hospital. Simple
