Why don't this man want to give the nation space to grow ? It would have been wise for him to play role of king maker by silently sponsoring fresh contenders. Suspect his heavy records will cost APC in this fort coming election. Only fools that don't know his history of corruptions and bigotry will vote for him. His so called displine record, was rules of terror focused on southerners and Christians. While he turned a blind eye to his born to rule clicks.
How many governors he appointed were muslims and how many were christians under him? Of the 4 service chiefs were 3 not christians? Have u forgotten domkat bali era? am waiting for your dumb response

Instead, I would seek a refund of the money I used to buy PDP presidential form and use it to repair prisons across the country and renovate it to my taste.

That is the only way he and his gang of thieves can enjoy life after his tenure, in prison.

Guys, why are we all behaving like primary school children.

Have you ever heard of Good cop, Bad cop strategy to interviewing. Anybody that does any funny petition might lose opportunity for advancing to the final interview.

What you faced from the interviewer is what you might likely face in a place of work with pompous and short tempered bosses especially those under pressure from some kind of target. If in doubt ask your friends who work in Banks especially those with female bosses.

The interviewer might have been specifically asked to create such atmosphere and see how interviewees respond. Like someone said, his good response mellowed the interviewer. I can reasonably assure you that the guy has passed.

Never react negatively to an interviewer especially one that might be having a bad day. Your response might just land you a coveted job out of a lot of people jostling for the job. If anyone fails this interview, do not blame the interviewer, rather seek to learn what you did wrong and improve as this could be a dress rehearsal for a Shell interview you will pass.

For your information, I faced the same interviewer for my Zonal Interview and I found him abrupt. However, due to my previous experience, I tried to be as nice as possible by answering his question on time and smiling. Afterall, I am the one searching for work and considering the fact that I made to the final stage, all was well.

Therefore, if you cannot handle heat from an interview panel of two, just imagine going to Abuja and facing 4 to 5 Executive Directors. One of the EDs grilled me because I could not name states under the southwest zonal office, an oversight I pray will not be costly. Yet I learnt a very good lesson from that. If you are well prepared, let the interviewer carry fire, you will acquit yourself well and if you are not successful, you will know that it was another criteria unknown to you that eliminated you, not your technical know how.

Lastly, most government parastatal such as NNOC, NERC, NUC, NCC, NAFDAC etc are known using private sector standard of recruitment process, therefore don't expect to be patted on the head. Prepare for them as if you are going for a shell interview and you will pass in flying colours after which Nigerian factor allowing, you will be chosen.

You can go to the previous NNPC thread to see some applicants with no connection that were chosen. I also got to the final stage but was not chosen.
Regards.
Well said and thanks, i thought of that though but your matured explanations kind of sheds more light. Thank u

I had a very unpleasant experience with the man in question. I believe he is the bespectacled, fat, pompous, and unbearably rude character. He never gave me the opportunity to settle down and answer questions. I had hardly entered the room before he started to antagonise me with so much bile and malice.

The second guy on the panel was very pleasant, patient, and empathetic and it seemed he was wiling to give you the chance to prove yourself, while the lady seemed indifferent.

However, the fat and pompous guy was apparently the head of the interview panel and he clearly had an agenda to execute. I had to restrain myself from insulting him towards the end when he unilaterally declared that the interview was over, even though I was still engaged in an interesting discussion with the second guy. Mr. Fat and pompous guy at Restral is easily the most unprofessional and uncouth interviewer I have ever encountered.
This is exactly what my brother went through with that same guy, he is going to petition to the nerc as God is my witness. At least i heard the boss of nerc is a true professional

I cry for this nation and the future of young Nigerians.....Comments on social media show how subjected we are as Nigerians.

The number one problem is that we can not even identify the problem we are being faced as a nation. Has this generation of young Nigerians totally lost hope? Do we believe in ourselves with all the power of social media at our disposal? Cant we get someone young, brilliant, and visionary to be our president? We are many in numbers, we can gather the needed votes, we can canvass and get supports from young and old. Is a 71 year old man, who has never articulated his vision other than a campaign of hatred against the present government the right candidate to take Nigeria to a new level?

It is not about 'I will provide road, water, electricity, 'security'! It is far more than that.

I have never been a fan of Jonathan, but is Buhari an alternative? The dilemma this generation is that we are faced with only two choices that are not reflections of the depth of human capital this nation posses.

This is my verdict, and I want anyone who cares to take note of this: Jonathan will win next year election even in a free and fair environment, but there will be a crisis from the opposition who are hell bent on ruling this nation. Jonathan may not be the best candidate, but he is the 'anointed' one for a reason that will not be clear to many Nigerians for now.....The change we need will not come from PDP and APC......Until Nigerian youths arise and join hands together, things will remain the same....
U are a very very interesting but deluded individual, wow see how deluded pdp has made nigerians

Is this the man APC is telling us is the best thing since slice bread? Is this the man APC wants us to believe is the best thing for Nigeria? Is this the uncorruptible, educated, fearless leader APC paid e-thugs kept disturbing us about? Even this exact speech he gave was provided on here by an APC paid person and the way they praised it on NL, screaming how great the speech was when they watched it, I honestly thought when he gave this speech, it was beyond excellent. Oh my how wrong was I. Y'all honestly have to be kidding correct?

To be honest, even though I wasn't sold on Buhari, based on all the noise and praises APC ppl did all over the Internet especially NL, I expected wayyy better than this. I honestly expected a man a million times better than this. Are you f2king kidding me? Forget the religious fanatics accusations hanging over his head, it's obvious as heck this man is as clueless as the name they gave GEJ. Even a f2king speech written for by obviously someone else, this man still had difficulty reading it? This man couldn't even pretend to be enthusiastic about it. Smh.

Whoever said Nigerians deserved the kind of leaders they choose is 110% accurate. You all deserve it. No wonder that country is so messed up and don't ever plan on improving.
My God; highly disappointed is an understatement.
There is actually no need answering many of these premature conclusions but i feel your's can be answered since you appear objective sort of, now see the first thing is how old were u when buhari ruled? If you were old enough u would recall that he has no time for words, no time for praises either. At a point people forgot buhari and only talked about idiagbon as he was more vocal though no less active. But i can tell you that the less than 3yrs of his rule touched every single nigerian. more importantly it was a govt THAT NEVER TOLD LIES TO NIGERIANS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD THE GUN. and i challenge u and anyone reading now to tell us how he got overthrown, he practically walked away when he heard IBB had mobilized and he asked every single security detail NOT TO FIGHT AND DIE FOR HIM. Dodan barracks gate was open when IBB troops marched in, pls go and find out if that is the norm even when a total weakling is inside dodan barracks, yet this man valued the life of others above stay in power. And lastly his performance at PTF is disarming. Let any contractor come here now to tell us whether procurement was transparent or not. Do you know how much money was in ptf? Yet this man did not tuck away any for himself, why donyou think pdp prefer to label him fanatic? Because no other name will stick. Hope you are aware the late Dora came out of PTF? Those were the kind of people working with him. See forget whatever pdp is paying lapthugs to bring up, this man is the next president.

McLuhan:
While I congratulate Gen. Buhari on his victory at the APC presidential primaries, I remain unconvinced that a seventy-something year-old former military dictator is Nigeria's long-awaited messiah. Make no mistake, Buhari is, I believe, a very honest man. As President, he would probably be motivated to make an impact, much more than the pathetic effort that Jonathan has so far exerted. No, Muhammadu Buhari is not a bad person per se and my objection to his candidature has nothing to do with his tribe or religion. Rather, I am worried that Nigeria today has not yet birthed a political system that can allow its best and brightest, its vibrant and brilliant young minds, who exist in abundance, to rise to the highest echelons of political power. If our choices for the topmost office in our land are limited to Jonathan and Buhari, what does that say about our level of development as a nation?
As much as you desire a young harvard-kind of candidate for the presidency, I must tell you that your imaginary candidate will fail woefully so much your head will spin. No Harvard, genius, or young politician can even go near dealing with our biggest problem which is corruption. Corruption can only be stemmed by a totally selfless person like GMB. That is his strong point, the kind of corruption going on here was never taught or even understood in Harvard or in climes where humans are humans.

Those that keep defending islam and proclaiming it a religion of peace, read below and explain again please: I HOPE MURIC is also reading?

http://clairedeo..com/2014/11/tragic-islamists-ambush-bus-in-kenya.html

Islamic Shebab extremists ambushed a bus in Kenya before executing 28 non-Muslims at point-blank range in a revenge attack for police raids on mosques in the troubled city of Mombasa. The heavily-armed gunmen ambushed the bus early yesterday as it headed for Nairobi from Mandera, a town that lies on the border with Somalia. According to AFP, the extremists reportedly separated the Muslims from the 28 victims by forcing them to read versus from the Koran. Those that failed were shot in the head at point-blank range.

The death toll - which included 19 men and nine women - was confirmed by Kenya's Red Cross, which said it was attempting to retrieve the victims' bodies from the scene. Regional police chief Noah Mwavinda also told AFP. 'I can confirm... that 28 innocent travellers were brutally executed by the Shebab. Some 60 passengers were on board the bus when it was seized by the gunmen. Gunmen waved down the bus before spraying it with bullets when it did not stop. They then shot a rocket-propelled grenade at the vehicle, before commandeering the bus off the road . They ordered the passengers to get off the vehicle before separating the travellers into Muslims and non-Muslims.

One of the passengers on the bus, Ahmed Mahat, told the BBC

The driver tried to accelerate away, but the vehicle became stuck in mud caused by recent heavy rains.About 10 heavily-armed men speaking Somali ordered the passengers off the bus.
"When we got down, passengers were separated according to Somali and non-Somalis,"

"The non-Somalis were ordered to read some verses of the holy Koran, and those who failed to read were ordered to lie down. One by one they were shot in the head at point blank range."Some Somalis were shot after pleading with the gunmen to spare non-Somali passengers, Mr Mahat added.
The attack comes after a week after Security forces raided mosques in the city, saying they were being used to store weapons. The raids triggered apparent revenge attacks by Muslim youths.

Kenya has experience a series of al-Shabab attacks since it sent troops to Somalia three years ago to help fight the militant group.

He probably didn't see any lies with the PTF thing you've asked about. He was concerned with the lies about the economy, debt profile and the construction of refineries. And I think he made a valid case.

As for your problem with the DMO and CBN as a source of information, if I wanted information about your family, should I take your neighbours words about it or should I take it from your family?
Am shocked u could admit openly the OP saw nothing wrong with PTF, what about u? But in 2014 you jump over his 90's record to rate him based on ONLY 1983? Do u listen to yourself at all?
