The jokes is on IPOB they believed every region reason and have the same onion brain like them. In 1993 Abiola defeated Tofa in his polling. The core north will never vote a candidate with questionable character not to talk of one that doesn't perform. They don't have the brains of Abians where kerosene and insulting Buhari and Tinubu is use to measure performance in office.

If you cant read and comprehend a simple writeup, then you need to upgrade your IQ.

I gave you 3 solid reasons, yet you still went ahead to showcase your stupidity and ignorance.

1. PROBABLY - it mean they may or may not.

2. NO SOCIAL MEDIAS - no one can tell since there were no platforms to show their wealth/lifestyle to entire populace like today's actresses

3. THEY RECEIVE MORE ATTENTION FROM WEALTHY MEN THAN AVERAGE WOMEN - There are quite alot of wealthy men who can go any length to sleep with their favourite actresses.
You don't have moral and manner for you to have concluded in the first place that those I mentioned in my first comment went through what you have in mind concerning female celebrities even when you don't Know personal or came across them just because you believed people related to you can't do without opening their legg for trade by barter.

They probably did the same. The advent of social medias expose these generation's actresses.

Female celebrities usually get an offer they cant resist from wealthiest personalities in the society.
You are reasoning base on what your mum or adult sisters went through during their youthful age. No be female celebrity dey open leg for trade by barter.
Celebrities › Re: Charity Nnaji: Nigerian Female Celebrities Are More Like Advanced Prostitutes by Latakia(f): 5:55pm On Sep 23, 2021
Well it depend on what make you go into the movie industry. People like Toyin Ashawo, Iya Awero, Mama Rainbow, Lola Idije, Peju Ogunmola etc started in their youthful age till they became Grandma without sexual controversy. I can't say for this female generations cos na dem no wetin carry them enter the industry.

What is this ones saying?
You gave your persons experience
I'm also giving you my kid cousin experience
Now you are being passive aggressive
Having those jobs do not mean you will remain in those jobs.
My cousin plans to go into healthcare once certain things are sorted out
And from there he can climb the ranks
These are opportunities that most nigerians IN Nigeria can only dream about
The ability to use your hardwork to climb the socioeconomic ladder
You are still a kid. I'm not stopping you from travelling out.

Your friend is going to be okay! It takes time to adjust. You mentioned 200k. How much is 200k in Nigeria? And how many people earn this here? Your friend has made a very good decision to leave this country. If you tell me 10 stories of Nigerians suffering abroad, I'll tell you 100 success stories of Nigerians who has left this country. E no work for you no mean say e no go work for another person.
Someone that is planning to come home soon. U kid always believed money making is easier there. I remembered in one of my trip over there, I saw one popular actor who used to act in mostly Yoruba movies, I don't need to tell you the kind of job is doing, honestly he was not happy over there with the kind of decision he took having seen what the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola have achieved in the movies industry. The likes of Muyiwa Ademola, Okunu, Sanyeri, Latin have their family children living legally in Canada but they never relocated permanent cos they know life over there is not easy. Muyiwa Ademola even have to make a movie titled "ILE" just to educate people that always believed life is greener over there. I'm done with you.

Did COVID 19 not make life hard for you here in Nigeria? Yours is even worse because the govt doesn’t care. So why singling out that your friend for onslaught? The begging culture online and offline skyrocketed during the pandemic and it hasn’t reduced since then. Nigerians are suffering!

I wish I could reach that your friend. She needs to stop telling you her predicament because it obviously tickles your clitoris and delivers hard orgasms to you.

I have a friend that resigned too to travel abroad. He calls me to tell me the same things your friend is telling you, but I know he made a good decision leaving Nigeria for Canada. I simply tell him it is a phase and yes it is a phase!! 95% of immigrants go through that phase and it is worst when they have no one to help them settle in.

Maybe you are also waiting for your friend to pack her bags and come home. I bet you would create a thread filled with smiling emojis that day. Amooo-su!
What most of you kid doesn't know is that no matter how worst it is in Nigeria, your family/friends will be there for you compare to America, all man is for himself/herself once you reach 18 years. In Nigeria a 35 years old is still living with his parents. It's not the same over there. Anyway you are still a kid that still live under the roof of mummy or daddy so you won't know.

Hope you know that in many parts of america, they are desperately looking for workers
At least that was the story for the last three months
Dont know about now
Cos I have a young cousin who is over there, who got two jobs at the same time easy (though it's not white collar job) and is combining it with part time uber
He is working very hard and round thr clock
But he is doing fine, saving money, building credit and even sent money back to his mom (my aunt) here in Nigeria
The world is getting tough
But one thing that is undeniable is that the USA have far more opportunities to grow (if you are willing to put in the work) than in Nigeria with very limited opportunities
They are looking for cheap labourers. Don't tell me what I know already. Someone that is there is complaining na you wey dey nairaland want tell me wetin I know.

Average rent in Baltimore is around $1,500 to $2000 depending on size of house. Food is cheap, transportation is cheap with tube.

If you are earning $5000, how much can you possibly spend when rent is sorted.

Even in NY, average rent in a decent high rise building is around $3000. Because your job im NY will probably pay around $5000 to $8000 in NY.

There is a whole lot of money to safe. So stop spreading fake info.

Do your research madame.
You see why she is lamenting..She is managing with someone before she and three others decided to rent their own. Majority of her money dey go on bills..

Madam, if your friend is legal, educated and hardworking, she would be fine. Find away and travel to meet her. Stop staying on Nairaland looking for a way to cast her. I REPEAT, there is nothing wrong with your friend or what she is going through. It is a phase and it would pass all things being equal.
There are educated, legal and hardworking within the citizens of America and outsiders that are finding life there difficult. Covid-19 even added to this difficulty. My friend is telling me what she passing through even though I wasn't surprised cos I've been there, you that is on nairaland that have never travel out want to justify her just because you have the same mentality of I MUST TRAVEL OUT.

In summary I am stopping you not to travel out.

I think you are being too fast to tear your friend apart for reasons best known to you. As long as he is legal, educated and willing to work, he would be fine. Most new immigrants go through this phase, it doesn’t in anyway mean the average life in Nigeria is better.

Maybe he had too many expectations from America, but there is nothing special about a 300k job in Nigeria. He should give himself time.
It's not your friend but my friend cos I warned her before travelling having been there but she didn't listen. She was busy converting the money into dollars forgetting that she's not gonna spend naira there. Mind you those even earning 200,000 in the same company with her in Nigeria are doing better here. Some are already building their house. It depend on how prudent you are. I know most of you kid on nairaland believed life over there is better than Africa, I feel una pain cos most of you still live under the roof of your parents and haven't seen the other world.

What year was this?

This guy is probably lying to you so he won't be sending you money, also he probably traveled as an illegal immigrant. So which type of work is he expecting to do there?
2021. Things are extremely expensive now in America. A lot of Americans are about to be evicted from their houses because of rent pay. Fuel, foodstuffs, Health Insurance, education some are even paying their education loan 20-30 years after their graduation, things most Nigerians enjoy naturally. Inflation is rising over there but most of you thought the problem of the world start and end in Nigeria. You still receive calls with your network providers even if you don't recharge for two months plus which is not the same in America, you must pay your bill every month whether you have credit or not in your phone.

It's still better than Nigeria.

Whats the essence of avoiding to pay bills here when your life is always at risk either from Killer heardsmen, kidnappers, armed robbers, SARS, killer policemen, terrorists, bad belle people etc?

You have the money but cant enjoy it due to poor security, no roads, no light, no health care
I don't blame you because you have never been to the airport not to talk of seeing a plane from 5 meter close.

But with this thread,Nigerians wil still want to go, we are naturally stubborn
My brother I saw the kind of hell our people are going through in abroad. Some don't even have money to buy their ticket back home upon say they want come home while some dey shame to come home after so many years over there without achieving anything. Some dey do work that they can't do in Nigeria.

In summary, there's no greener pastures anywhere. 200,000 naira job in Nigeria is far better than 5000 dollars job in America. Don't look at the currency but the purchasing power.

She is busy lamenting now, to even call from America na wahala cos our friend is very busy working there to pay compulsory bills something she enjoyed and usually avoid while in Nigeria.

Jews do no eat their faeces. The Igbo tribe do not know their origin and do not have history. Neither were we taught in primary/secondary schools of where they come from. The only history we knew about them is how the Benin Kingdom used them as slaves and later sold them to the Ijaw who also sold them to the largest tribe in Equatorial Guinea.

They are travellers because their region is full of tabular rasa, evil minds, lack of economy value and lack of trust for one another, hence, they preferred the north and west where they have peace of mind than those living in the East grin
