Barcelona had gone a long way last season pursuing the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, claims SBNations.

Although Barcelona did not succeed in signing the 23-year-old, Rabiot may be up next season for a free move since he has not signed a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool is as interested in the youngster as Barcelona. Jurgen Klopp has been in contact with the player about a possible move to join his team.

According to the report, Rabiot has disclosed during an interview his fondness for Liverpool when he was growing up. He also said he’d love to play in English Premiership.

This really puts Barcelona up in a tight positon with Liverpool over the player. Mohammed Salah insists he remains full of pride for his accomplishments after losing out to Luka Modric for the UEFA Player of the Year award

The Egyptian king had an incredible debut campaign at Liverpool, which saw his 44 goals help fire the club into the Champions League final and secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League.

Salah’s displays last season saw him become the first Egyptian to be nominated for the UEFA Player of the Year award in a three-man shortlist.

Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo were the other nominees.

However, it was Modric who would emerge as the victor of the award.

But Salah remains proud of everything he has managed in the past 12 months.

“When you do something for the first time, nobody has done it as an Egyptian before, something great, it’s something I have to be proud of,” Salah said.

“There are 100million Egyptians who see me as a role model.

“That’s something I have to be very proud of.

“Sometimes you feel pressure because of that but it also makes you work harder to do your job better and better and better.”

Salah will be back in action for Liverpool’s trip to Leicester City tomorrow as the Reds look to maintain their 100% winning start to the new season...

I was a strong advocate of Buhari in 2015 but now I'm safe to say I regret as many will agree with me. Mr president has performed below expectations so far and its even scary to think we still have about 3 solid years under this administration.
