Oprah Winfrey spent every single day of her life on tv for 25years + . She kept calling Steadman her bf.
They have been married for over 30years. That is Oprah Winfrey. There is no similarity between FFK and Oprah. Was Oprah married 3 times to 3 different people, like FFK the serial philanderer? |

Well, the situation exhibits lack of foresight and planning by the authorities. Electricity problems that other hospitals' have, to be solved? What about the Indians? They have fled!! You folks seem to have so much hope in Nigerian governments.
Una try! My earlier comment still stands. Most of the other state govts have not built anything remotely close to this kind of hospital in Akwa Ibom. At least the edifice is there, and it is still standing. Once govt does something reasonable and good, it should be commended and when it fails to hit the mark, it should be chastised. Problems such as lack of electricity and manpower can be solved, once the state govt makes an effort to tackle it properly. For me, Akwa Ibom has tried! |

kjhova: Nice topic you sent me to read and I found it enjoyable. I hope you are also open minded enough to have my viewpoint on the topic.
I have related family who are Igalla and from Olamaboro. I spent 3 days in Okpo in 2013 attending the patriarch's burial. You could get from their village to Ninth Mile on okada. These border towns linking Kogi, Benue and Enugu together have long history of interaction which has created similarities in language, cuisine, culture etc. For this reason, the Igalla's in this section may have acquired the "Z" alphabet, market day system etc from their Igbo neighbours. If so, this does not in anyway make them Igbo.
That said, it comes down to self identification. Should a distinct community self identify as Igalla, even if they speak a language considered as Igbo, then they are Igalla. And this is vice versa also for Igalla speaking communities who may self identify as Igbo. To my knowledge thou, I am not aware that any community on the Kogis side of the border is claiming Igbo.
My state, Edo, is also useful as an example. We have place name Akoko Edo and we have Akoko people in Ondo. Should we consider the Akokos as Edo or Yoruba?
Also, I did my NYSC in Ekiti State where I noticed that the Ekitis call money "Egho". Bar the difference in tonal inflection, it is same as Edo word for money which is "Egho"! Chair, in Ekiti, is "ijoko" same as "ijoko" in Edo North. Mother is "iye" and "iyo" in both languages. The respect plural pronoun "eh" which is used in place of "oh" to refer to adults in Yoruba is completely missing in Ekiti as it is in Edo.
Do all of the above mean that Ekitis and Ondos are Edo? Of course not. It only means that these cultures have inter-related for a long time and have thus shared many aspects together.
IPOB miscreants cannot, by any stretch of imagination, claim Kogi or Benue or any parts therein in their map. The only people who can do so are these ethnicities in Kogi and Benue themselves. This whole sordid affair is beginning to look like 1937/38 when the Austrian mad man, Adolph Hitler, an usurper of power in Germany (where he is not a citizen), began to clamour for incorporation of "Suddeten Germans" in western Czechoslovakia despite that the "Suddetens" hardly ever clamoured for such. At any rate, this led to the destruction of Czechoslovakia, the 2nd World War and eventually destruction of Germany itslef.
Most Igbo's I know in Lagos are against this IPOB stupidity and I hope that this silent majority eventually carry the day to save many from the avoidable carnage that is coming. What a beautiful piece!! How on earth did I miss it? Well done, bro.' Good work! |

Our facebook page and twitter handle is @CieidWorldWide, My twitter handle is @MideMrPossible, I share stories about my life from time to time in a comical way, the truth is when I did this research, I was just 22yrs Old, fresh graduate, no job, no source of income but I never let the innovation lead me to destruction, many has been showing their displeasure through my emails and DM how stupid I was but I wasn't stupid, the system made all of us handicapped! There is more we can all do if there is an enabling environment.
Thanks once again. Why don't you try bringing up your research again? Today there are tech centres like CCHub, Venture Platform, Start Innovation Hub , and other business incubation hubs that support start ups, which you might be able to work with and develop your applications. Some of them could also introduce you to venture capitalists, who might be interested in funding your innovation. But you would need to do a proper documentation and business plan, to get them to look at your project. Surf the web for the info you need. Good luck. |

I lived in an environment where there was no electricity, to accomplish the research alone then was a very difficult task and not getting motivation or someone to show interest in the idea was killing me by leading me into depression gently.
I did tried everything to get one of these PayTv to listen to my plea but they turned deaf hear, enjoying free browsing cannot solve my problem because I run generator to power the PC and my PC back up was so poor that it can only last for 45min.
I needed $2220 to document and license the invention back then according to AORCS (US Attorney), I raise and sent over $1000+ to the lawyer that was meant to facilitate it and get an angel investor to invest in the idea but I also ended up being scammed!
Put yourself in my shoe and imagine how difficult life was as a fresh graduate! But you could have engaged lawyers in Nigeria, to document and file patents & trademarks for you here, locally. Why use an American lawyer? |

Their duty is to make ur toxic loan non-toxic which includes taking over ur company on an interim basis, appointment of an interim management team to overhaul the company and make it profitable again so that the company can continue to service their loan obligations and then had it back to u when they are sure the company wouldn't default again.
Just like they did to Capital oil, Aero Contractors, Union Bank, Oceanic Bank etc.
AMCON is owned by the government and funded with tax payers money. Did I argue with you about the functions of AMCON? Didn't I say a receiver manager was appointed for Silverbird in 2016? |

AMCON later had to seize his silverbird due to non servicing of the loan. AMCON has released Silverbird back to him, after he made a substantial payment to offset part of the loan early this year. The Silverbird Group yesterday thanked the management and leadership of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) for working with Silverbird through what it described as a “challenging period” in their existence.
The Vice President Silverbird Group, Guy Murray-Bruce, in a statement also hailed AMCON for their support in helping to resolve the challenges the organisation in a fair, patriotic and businesslike manner.
Murray-Bruce added: “We particularly want to single out Mr. Ahmed Lawal Kuru, Managing Director and CEO of AMCON for his dedication and commitment to ensure that Silverbird survives and goes on to thrive. Nigeria benefits when public servants show altruistic leadership and Mr. Kuru’s actions have renewed our faith in Nigeria’s public service.
“Let us also thank the Receiver/Manager appointed by the corporation, Messrs. M.A. Banire & Associates on the amicable resolution of the challenges that can arise in business. Our working relationship will doubtlessly be a template for how to resolve future issues that may face other organisations.
“Finally, we wish to emphatically register our heartfelt appreciation to all our stakeholders (employees, tenants, clients, viewers and listeners, suppliers, government parastatals, shareholders and Directors) for standing firm with us during this period.”
According to him, the Silverbird Group is strong, thriving and ready to face the future “with great faith that the best is yet to come for us and it is because of the support outlined above that the Silverbird Group has and will remain the pacesetter in the media, entertainment and real estate sectors of the economy.” https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/02/24/silverbird-group-hails-amcon/ |

Don't forget that he won the franchise to stage the Miss World pageant in Nigeria in 2002, before the event was marred by news of riots up North, and they had to cancel it, and host the event in another country. Larwin: @laudate...the images me am looking at here can accommodate cars conveniently. Each front should be able to take 4cars and the sides still have space...except if its dangote trucks the occupants are using...Its just the camera shot angle that makes it look as if it has no space.
I understand yr point about each apartment having a separate borehole. but i am 40% sure all these boreholes might end up being useless at the end. Remember they make no mention of treatment plant, i believe they left that for the occupants to solve on there own. That is the problem we have with Lagos. Also the specification of the borehole drilled needs to be question. Is it the type where the occupants will be battling with salt, iron or shits...Did they look into environmental/nature protection scheme.
Have you seen mud/land slide before? if not but am sure you would have seen borehole collapsing, its a junior brother to land slides because the formations are getting weaker day by day. It might not happen now but think about the future generation. I dont know the competency of the contractor involved but he should have gone for a centralize borehole, a central treatment house, not plant in this case and employ a facility manager to be in charge. each building can have there stanchion and geepee tanks. if properly done, i dont think there will be any issue of not having water, maintenance will nt b a problem and in the end lot of lives will be saved and future generations will be preserved. I don't think we are looking at the same images, o! Where exactly would those 4 cars be accommodated in each compound? I can't see it, o! Only the sides of the house have a little space. And if they park behind each other on that narrow main access way in front of the houses, then it means they would have to wake up each neighbour to move his car, before the next car can successfully get out of the way. All dat wahala for a 55 million naira house? Mba nu! As for the central borehole, I totally agree that it is better to have a central one than having individual boreholes, but trust me with the Naija mentality of our people, and the poor way facility management is practised in this country, you would definitely opt for your own borehole to avoid wahala. I know several estates with a centralised borehole & water treatment facilities, where such facilities have either fallen into disrepair, or are no longer functional, or have become a subject of dispute or have simply been turned off just to spite the residents, because they had a disagreement about water rates/tariff. Abeg, for Nigeria the 'tori dey always get k-leg! Instead of having different boreholes, to avoid a mudslide like you said they could have different GeePee storage tanks for water and buy their water supplies from haulage tankers. |
