It’s not part of my training in over 30 years in fortune 100 companies in the USA to spoonfeed failed applicants. I worked in entertainment, healthcare, technology industries.

Not sure where you’re all getting this lame idea.

My job is to focus on selecting the right candidate, board him/her and grow my team.

This sense of entitlement is repugnant.
Which sense of entitlement are you talking about? shocked It is mere courtesy to provide feedback to a candidate, in order to notify him if he was successful or not, after an interview has been concluded.

I have seen many multinationals do it, both at home and abroad. If you don't, then maybe your own training was faulty.

I don't want to exchange words with you, so abeg swerve.....

It’s not my job as a hiring manager to coach or give feedback to candidates.

I’m looking for serious professionals that are looking for real work not practicing interviews.

Again, sense of entitlement to feedback and recognition for transportation money.
The part in bold refers. It is your job to give feedback. A lot of foreign companies do it, both at home and abroad. It is only Nigerian-owned companies that fail to do so. It is a bad habit.

30k is slavery. Please think it through once again
On two occasions when I got stuck in a 3-hour traffic jam in Lagos, I parked my car and hailed a Gokada, in order to get to my important meetings on the island.

That was 5 months ago. I have refused to use them again, since then. Most of the Gokada drivers I have met, have very bad body odour. angry

Wait, you thought it was easy to see Jesus? Ask the woman with the issue of blood, or Jarius the Centurion.

Ask the man whose friends had to break the roof of another person's house, just to see Jesus.

Dey dia. Jesus hard to see pass Trump.

Jesus was available but not accessible just like that.
zoedew:
Wrong! Zachaeus though short in stature and thus better able to squeeze through the crowd to access Jesus had to climb a tree to do so! Folks had to remove the roof of a house to access Jesus to get for their person. Bartimaeus had to scream himself silly shouting the cognomen of Jesus to access Him and even at that was told to shut up but he wouldn’t until he got the attention of Jesus who stood still to attend to him. I could go on and on. The real reason Jesus would usually tell recipients of the miracles he performed to not noise it about is to avoid being mobbed by the crowd ever seeking a miracle. Want contemporary stuff? Recently at Akure a Christian lady prayed for some crippled fellow and leper who received healing instantaneously. But for Akure Chiefs who rushed her to their residence close by the Deji of Akure Palace where the incident happened she would have been mobbed. FYI the crowd insisted on seeing her so she could pray for them threatening to pull down the house where she was. The police had to be called in to take her away. That’s the way it goes! You do not take your personal safety lightly just so you won’t get criticised!

ThanKs for the info. Do you think DPR has such time?
Most of laws in Nigeria are just there for formality when DPR only go to petrol stations for kolanut majorly. What is the percentage of SR with license compare to those with none. I can tell your authoritatively that over 50% of gas plant don't have it they only bribe. The major problem they have is the fiscal planning stuff which is not easy and takes time in most state to get due to the attitude of public servant. Once again thanks.
Oga, stop this your fake argument. It is people like you, who like breaking the law that argue blindly like this. angry You have been told the right thing to do.

It is up to you, to follow it or not.

The day DPR wakes up to start clamping down on roadside gas retailers without licenses, it is people like you that will cry the loudest, and insult them to high heavens. sad Yet, you are the one that will be at fault, for not doing the right thing.

I have seen DPR conducting inspection of gas plants in my area before, and I know it is not a joke. undecided

If you like...... continue to make noise there. The day they decide to penalise defaulters, just don't come and complain here to anybody, because you have refused to follow the right procedure. Chikena.

Well done.
If the area is sandy or waterlogged, you definitely need a raft foundation. It is not about the size, but the structure.

It is necessary for the foundation of the building to be strong, and stand the test of time. It also prevents underground water from seeping into the building, and destroying it

For the records let me use this medium to educate those arguing above, you can register your gas retail outlet with DPR and it falls under category D where you have 500kg to 1000kg equivalent which is approximately 10 to 20 50kg cylinders, the fact that DPR are not disturbing you does not mean you shouldn't get your business registered under them for due process, and the requirments for the liscence is
1. CAC certificate of your business
2. Fire safety certificate
3. 2 fire extinguisher
4. Location devoid of welder, mechanic, or area prone to mechanical or electrical hazzard
5. Shop must be ventilated
6. You shouldn't be transferring from one cylinder to other(this you will keep transfer pipe) off during inspection
7. Registration is 5k payment through Remitta
8. LiCence renewal 5k for 2 years
9. If all criteria is meant then you have no issues with your business.
Mind you there is a treat to clamp down some gas shops termed illegal, what makes yours legal? Before now till now no issues if u reg or not but, future?

This was the information I was searching for. The licenses used to be done manually in the past, for gas retailers, but then the whole process was automated and put online. undecided

You that is tranferring from 50KG cylinders now talking of 1000KG license. the license is meant for tanks and not cylinders. i insist
Oga, a license is NOT only required for large storage tanks, but also for retailing of gas cylinders. Go and check so that you can educate yourself. Ask any DPR official. The type for storage tanks is different and more expensive, than the one for storage and sale of gas cylinders. For your information, 1,000 kg is only 80 cylinders of 12.5kg.

phadriz:
Either true or false, go and do the survey and see how many SR that has DPR approval. Do you think DPR have time for petty biz when they yet to do due diligence on main plants.

Am not here for argument. He can do other research on his own.
Stop arguing about what you do not know. Ignorance is easily cured by getting access to the right information. Retailers of gas cylinders require a DPR license. My neighbour used to sell gas cylinders and he had one, which expired few years back. He has been trying to renew it. I have seen it before, in black & white.

As a street retailer you don't need any license from DPR. License is meant for those with skid tank and above. I work with one of the major gas offtaker and my wife has a gas shop as street retailer.
Not true. You still need a license from DPR even as a roadside retailer. The license covers storage and sale of just 1,000 kg of cooking gas. It falls under a different category.

If DPR decides to clamp down on roadside retailers that lack licenses, then you would know. Pls do your research well

You can only have a competition, when the product you are selling or the service you are buying has similar alternatives, coke and Pepsi local rice and uncle Bens and not one in which the product is monopolistic, oil is oil, you can only have competition in the area of the services they deliver, but you cannot control the price -

1 you are right that it would bring in foreign investor who want to make profit, now, ask yourself this question who wants to invest infrastructure refineries where their policy can change over night?

-2. all someone like otedola has to do is, go to Venezuela import more petrol at a cheaper rate and sell at a premium why waste time building a refinery

3. If our govt sells a barrel at the international bench mark price without subsidizing, cost of production, would the pump price change?

4 .Our problem has always been we nigerians and corruption e.g we are building roads for billions whereas countries smaller then ours benin republic are building the same roads for less, everyone that gets into public office is not patriotic enough, they believe it's my turn to steal from nigeria

5. Jobs would not be created, because all the smart kids on the block have to do to maximise profit by reducing cost of labour, labour always takes the brunt- so importation is cheaper 6. In other words things would continue

See all you postulated are textbook effects of what should be, but in our nigeria it is not like that, if it were ptf would work price of petrol would be uniform all over nigeria.

Any advice the IMF and world Bank gives is a pointer to what a country should not do - they said float our currency we did a partial flotation and our naira hit N500, whereas bubu stood against the floating of the naira, people said he was not an economist the economist said it was the best idea after garri, he listen, and we now know where we are - N365, he had to rush back and peg the currency again,

As we speak IMF and world Bank are still insisting we should float our currency, even the US today doesn't float their currency, they peg their interest rates, till tomorrow

Europe is fighting China for not floating it's currency which directly affects the cost of production, now where are the economist in nigeria that all where singing devalue float the naira, today they are no where to be found, the blame for the increased value of a bag of rice is squarely put on the table of the president
Na true word, you talk. I feel sorry for those who are still swallowing IMF's prescriptions. Such prescriptions are a recipe for disaster. sad

Zimbabwe increased fuel prices twice this year by over 150%, in order to abolish subsidy. What happened? Inflation skyrocketed to 75.8%, and cost of goods as well as services, became unaffordable.

The average Zimbabwean cannot afford to buy the fuel, even when they get it in the petrol stations. undecided Their currency keeps depreciating by the day, all thanks to the asinine IMF/World Bank policies they adopted.
