The only reason you added yorubatic is because you know he is not Yoruba and that his posts are sarcastic.

There are thousands of raving mad yoruba ethnic and religious bigots here. You just don't see them because what they post here you endorse.

And finally, the only reason you have this useless thread up is because you are feeling the heat and taste of your own venom

The Igbos and ND people are matching your tribal rants with equal and ferocious vengeance.

If any group of people are notoriously bigots here it is Yoruba Muslims posting from that ritual hinterland called Osogbo.

If you like preach peace from now to eternity that will not stop us I. The better south ( ND and Biafra) from seeing you for who you are which is jealous treacherous betrayals and ab0ki slaves.
Is it that you flunked English language in school, or your mind could not comprehend what I wrote in my previous post: "The list is long.." huh That is probably why you have tagged me as a Yoruba person. ROFLMAO! grin Was I the one that opened the thread?

Yorubatic's posts are not sarcastic. They are tribalistic rants, riddled with lies. Ị sùḷù ̣afịa. If you cannot tell the difference between 'tribalistic' and 'sarcastic', I fit borrow you my contact lens, oh. undecided And for you to step up to his defence, means you support his antics. Teach him to speak the truth.

Your main grouse is that you have a bone to pick with after1 or Superstar1. Face him squarely and stop trying to use or manipulate my post to launch any silly attacks against him. Or are you afraid of him? shocked huh

Then kindly show me in black and white any post where I endorsed a tribalistic comment from a Yoruba person. You make unfounded hate-filled allegations, and you expect people to give you a pat on the back. Forget it. Someone like me isn't interested in such pathetic trysts.

Like I keep telling people: Hate kills. Get rid of the bile in your soul, before it lands you in the grave. You would do well to heed that advice.

YORUBAS ARE THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA - By Sanusi Lamido
In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude.
   * The Yoruba elite and area-boy politics;
    * Igbo marginalisation and the responsible limits of retribution; and
    * The Yoruba Factor and "Area-boy" Politics.
My views on the Yoruba political leadership have been thoroughly articulated in some of my writings, prime among which was " Afenifere: Syllabus of Errors" published by This Day (The Sunday Newspaper) on Sept 27, 1998. There was also an earlier publication in the weekly Trust entitled " The Igbo, the Yoruba and History" (Aug. 21, 1998)...

When people say you are obsessed with the Yoruba, you guys will deny it. Check up the meaning in the dictionary. Is this your post not clear evidence of your obsession, biko nu??

Why are you so fixated on the Yorubas from Ilorin & Offa? Are you saying there are no Christians in these areas? Did they pay you some amount to advocate for them? Those guys consider themselves as pure Yoruba people from the North. Period. Talk to any of them today. They will never tell you that that are Hausa or Kanuri, irrespective of their religion. ABOMINATION... instead all your igwes and ezes in Igbo land should go to his royal highness to prostrate and beg for forgiveness on behalf of all igbos..
that's how it should be for peace to reign
Erm...some Igwes and Ezes were actually in attendance when the Oba of Lagos made that speech about the lagoon, and they even laughed and clapped for him, instead of expressing displeasure with his remarks and walking out.

Meanwhile, none of their people saw anything wrong in what the Eze and his fellow Igbo people did. So I really don't understand why they lodged a report at the ICC, when their Eze who was in attendance could have quickly set the record straight on the spot!

ThisDay:
“I’m not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi (Agbaje) is my blood relation and I told him that he cannot be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, don’t do it here.

“If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you. If you go against my wish, you will perish in the water.”

The monarch said anybody against Ambode did not wish the state well, adding, “I am for the progress, growth and development of Lagos. Ambode is highly cerebral, he’s a symbol and he is going to deliver the message which I, the Oba of Lagos, have said. And he will govern the state for another eight years.

“He is going on a mission and God will give him the wisdom and knowledge to fulfill that mission. Almost a year ago, I declared that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos and it will not change.

“From time immemorial, the previous occupiers of this house will say what they wanted after consultations with other people. And this hasn’t changed and it will not change at this time,” he said.

In a veiled reference to one of Jonathan’s predecessors, Akiolu stated that the crisis Nigeria was facing was not caused by the Jonathan administration but by another person he refused to name.

Continuing with his tirade, he said: “If not for the appeal from Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and my highly respected maternal father, the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, all what is happening today is not the cause of the present government. The man who caused everything knows himself.”

In his response, the Eze-Ndigbo of Amuwo-Oriade, Dr. Gordian Dimojiaku, promised Akiolu that the Igbos in the state would support Ambode.

“The mistake of last Saturday was caused by everybody, not only the Igbos. It is not only the Igbos that were responsible for the votes. But we have learnt our lesson. Saturday’s election is going to be a different thing and Ambode is going to win.

“Everybody knows that when you fail the first time, you cannot afford to fail again. We are going to tell our people that Ezes from the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas are here and that we have sworn with the Oba that we are going to make sure that Ambode wins next Saturday’s election,” he said.

Yeah?? What did the Oba do?
He didn't even mention Igbos in his entire speech, mind you.
He spoke metaphorically (but everyone knew he was referring to Igbos) about the situation. So what did he do exactly, because all I know about is just his speech.

Also, If only you can read global Geo-politics, you will know Nigeria as it exists today, is going no where.
The most that can happen is Fiscal federalism of the country's constituent parts.... ala 1963
What about the Igbo that were actively present when the Oba made the speech and cheered him on? They even clapped after he had made the speech, sef. I hope their names were also tabled before the ICC. undecided

Sir (Dr) Akanu Ibiam, former Governor of Eastern Region, Nigeria from December 1960 until January 1966 also had a Yoruba wife, named Lady Olayinka, from the great Sasegbon family of Lagos state. In April 1974, Dr. Ibiam lost his dear wife. She died at the age of 68. Out of respect for her, he refused to marry any other woman. She was given a state burial. Dr Akanu Ibiam the late Ezeogo and Isiala 1 of Unwana and Osuji of Uburu, was given the title of "... Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George by Her Majesty the Queen"; cool

Dr Vincent Ifeanyi Maduka the pioneer Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA) also married a Yoruba woman. His wife is Engr. Actually, if those photos are recent, one should commend his family for taking such good care of his assets. In another place, the extended family would have sold off those cars the year he died or butchered them up as spare parts in order to make money. sad

Those cars can still be refurbished. They are vintage vehicles that should be carefully restored to their former glory, and displayed in any good museum in Nigeria, with the late owner's autobiography carefully inscribed on a notice board next to the cars.

Mark, thanks a million for this thoughtful piece. Really majority of Nigerians know little to nothing about their country. Unfortunately too, history as a subject has been surreptitiously deleted from early-learning school curriculum.

Perceptions mature into reality, when not adequately explained. If most Nigerians knew better, there would be less room for all this collective hatred and condemnation. In all this I still lay the blame at the doorsteps of the Nigerian elite generally, and the political class in particular. Why? huh

The poor farmer in my village does not care much about other farmers from neighboring villages bringing their farm produce to our village market.

Let me illustrate with a personal experience which remains indelible in my heart. The lowly, but contented Ojo family [Yoruba] in Osi Ekiti that harboured me for 3 months during our UI final year geology field work in 1972 and treated me [an Ibo] as their own son, did not see me as a non-Yoruba then. undecided

But divisive tendencies encourage this group or collective hatred or resentment. Let me illustrate with an example from the academia and citadel of learning. It is when a Professor aspires to, prematurely, become a Vice Chancellor that he begins to whip up ethnicity and or religion in order to oust an incumbent from outside his own state or zone. sad

Such tendencies becloud our sense of belonging and oneness. This attitude is prevalent among other elitist walks of life and callings, not least the political class. We need to know and understand ourselves better. It is a tool for engendering Love among the citizenry. kiss

Omoluabi ni wa joor. I ll Bro.

You need to see the way these animals called Igbos stylishly dragged Yorubas into their issues with Sunday Oliseh over the famous video in which he claimed that he is not an Igbo guy. I blasted these animals though.....
No need to blast them. Just stick to the truth. Anytime I refute anyone's inaccuracies or falsehood on this forum, the next thing they do is to accuse me of being 'Yoruba,' as if it is a dirty word. Highly disrespectful attitude.

I take it to mean that they are obsessed with me. Oh well.... that is their problem, not mine. undecided

He keeps hiding behind the shadows, feigning neutrality, when his allegiance is clear for all to see.

Too many times I had asked him of his ethnic group, too many times he circumvented the question. How can someone not be proud of one's ethnicity in an online forum like Nairaland.
When I said your people were obsessed with the Yorubas, they got angry.

When I replied that your people were obsessed with me, you all feigned ignorance. What is your business with my ethnic group? Do they owe you a dime??! shocked shocked huh Ok, post your own real name here first, we will verify it, before I respond to your question. Ekwensu!

Now what is your reason for asking that question?? So that your limited, challenged, backward mind can take pot shots at my ethnic group, when they have not offended you in any way?? If you have a problem with my post, then face me squarely!~ angry And let me expose your arrant silliness to the world. It is my prerogative to answer or decline to offer a response to any question. If you like, bring your policeman to arrest me for not answering you! sad shocked

Oya, I am a Nigerian! I have relatives in every single part of this country. Hug the nearest transformer, if you do not like the answer!! angry
