I saw a post on the front page by 3310adeb about how he has been suffering from halitosis for the past 12 years.

Some gave their thoughts on how to overcome the problem while other joked about it. Jokes sometimes can liven up the op but won't solve the issue (halitosis) and can be depressing. I suffered from halitosis since I was in junior school and just got a remedy that worked. Would like to share my experience & I hope, I really hope it works for you 3310adeb and any other person who suffers from one .

Halitosis is so bad that whoever suffers from it does not know they do until you start noticing some bad energy around you. Some of us are lucky we found out early though knowing didn't solve the problem but
motivated us to search for remedy & make us talk little because if you don't talk much, you won't always open your mouth for others to perceive the foul smell.

I only noticed most of my classmates don't like coming close to me while we talk, thought they were all crazy or something, some later started covering their noses..... I still didn't get the message & kept yapping everyday.

I got to know I had halitosis after graduating from secondary school when my mum & I were talking, she was sitting directly in front of me and perceived the bad odour. She told me my mouth was stinking. She even joked & asked if she should start brushing for me again. The complaint kept coming from her even after I might have only brushed some minutes ago.

I went online trying to know the cause and remedy for my bad breaths. Did virtually all I saw on Google but the fix was temporary, within 3 hours...... the bad breath is back. My mum brought the idea of chewing gum to always keep my mouth moist. I started chewing gum like my life depends on it, it worked though but once I spit it out, the odour starts again. So I made sure I was always chewing gums.

I lost lot of relationships due to the halitosis. I'm good looking though, but the bad breath was my problem. I started getting worried too much about it. It got to a point I met a girl who really likes me, she would allow sex & all kinds of stuff but won't allow kissing, her excuse was that she plans on kissing her future husband (are you kidding me?), I knew the reason she won't allow kissing but she couldn't bring herself to tell me my mouth smell like sewage.

I'm married now, met someone who loves me the same. There are times she will deliberately stay in front of me while I'm talking to perceive my breath, if it's bad..... She'd signal me my touching her nose & that's my cue to stop talking. So, I started giving up about the cure

On the 11th of May, 2021(the day I may never forget). I watched a video on tiktok of a lady using her finger nails to push some stuff out of the tonsils in her throat which was whitish, a medical personnel then commented that it's called "TONSILS STONES" and can cause bad breath..... I switched to my browser & read more on tonsils stones before I decided to check my throat too with the aid of a mirror & flashlight and voila......tonsils stones were there as full citizens of my throat. I tried removing them with cotton buds which was not easy on my first trial as I keep trying not to vomit. I was able to remove one with the tip of the cotton bud & I lie you not, I nearly fainted when I put it close to my nose.....it motivated me to remove all that I could see & rinsed with salt water. Told my wife to come smell my mouth & I was relieved when she told me "no smell".

Since May 11th till now, my wife has only been telling 'no smell'. I always check every morning to see if there is tonsils stones in my throat & got a non-alcoholic mouthwash. I'm looking at a permanent fix of removing my tonsils but scared of Nigerian doctors as there are lots of complications that can arise if not done properly.
