Family › Re: I Am In A Dilemma, And I Don't Know How To Handle It. by layzie: 5:50am On Jan 30 |
Advise him to rent a Benz when he comes in, instead of buying one. There are car rental companies in Nigeria. Iamajike: I cant remember the last time i had quality of sleep and this is the reason I am awake to write this, if you can see, the is almost 2am midnight...
In 2020, I got a car as a birthday gift from my brother. At that period, it was not that I could not afford a car, but I had another priority other than a car. Yeah, the car served me well until last year, when it kept giving me problem upon problem. The reality now is that I am not financially capable of getting a new car for myself, as I have health challenges that have drained me at the moment, and I pray God comes through fast.
So I recently called my brother to inform him about the current situation, and I told him I will be selling my car, but I need 3m to add to the car money to buy a nice, standard Nigerian used car to use in the meantime. I told him I have 1m naira cash, and if he can give me 1m or 1.5m to add to it, I can talk to one of my friends to get the balance, so he promised to give me the money by the end of January; however, I have spent the 1m I kept on medical again and can't meet up with my need.
The main problem I am having now is that I told him about it, and he said I should not worry, that he'll be coming to the country soon to spend 2 months, and the car he uses he'll drop it for me to use... This is where I get the issue, or call it mixed feelings.
He wanted to get a Benz, but I advised him to buy a Corolla since he'll be dropping it for me, but he said his standard can never use a Corolla. I told him to consider me since he promised to drop the car for me as my present condition would not make me able to maintain a Benz, and those who should help me might be calling me boss, and I would not want to be calling him for help or maintenance money every time.
I can maintain a Corolla on my own now, but this man does not see from my angle.
The truth is that I can't go out without a car, I can't use public transport at the moment, and I can't maintain Benz with this condition. And I also don't want to be a burden on anyone.
Please, how can I convince him to reason in my way? I am 100 percent sure he'll help if I ask, but I don't want to be asking him every time so I don't lose the little respect I get while still alive. |

Sexual affair with spouses of other personnel is not allowed in the military. Not just in Nigeria, also in other countries including the west |

Family › Re: He Walked Out On Me by layzie: 9:34am On Dec 04, 2023 |
MsJackson: My husband of 10 years just walked out on me for a week now because he said I'm just relaxing in the house without a job. He left me with my 6 year old daughter with nothing. I had to borrow to feed and take care of her because she fell seriously sick and had to be taken to the health centre. I'm not the type that sits at home and expect only him to fend for the family, I was actually working and earning ok and have been supporting him for years, until I lost the job. Now because I've not been able to secure another, he left me high and dry. I even told him that the year has ended and it's hard to get job placements now, until next year, besides I'm willing to take up teaching again (which I never wanted to go back into, due to my previous bad experiences teaching in schools and very low pay) just to make sure I contribute to the home, but he's still adamant. He gave me the hint that not until I'm able to secure a job, he's not coming back home. We're not paying rent, only feeding and my daughter's school fees, which I can truthfully say I have been totally contributing to. Especially in the feeding aspect. He has been avoiding my calls, but I tried putting a call through to him last night because our child needed earnestly to speak to him, he picked and they spoke. My question are: - what he did, was it right? - when he eventually comes back, how should I handle the issue of his leaving? Because if I allow it pass or don't handle it appropriately, he will think it's okay to always leave when the going gets tough, and will eventually do worse in future. I am actually more worried about your closing questions. It tells me you have not even taken a proper appraisal of your situation. Ok let me answer u. 1. What does it matter to u, if we tell u what he did is right or wrong? Does it change ur situation? Or u just want a sense of 'yes he is wrong', then wat? Money will fall down? 2. Y do u assume he will come back? Or even if he does, y assume he will stay? Change your mindset now to the mindset of: 1. I have got this 2. I will get myself out of this situation and live my best life with or without him. Then get to work. Cos u have work to do on urself, for u and ur baby's sake. |

Im sorry u have to go through this. Your sisters would have been better in managing this but they are far away.
You can get her another help, however there are also risks to that. They may not last, meaning u keep getting others which ultimately becomes a security risk cos all those helps coming and going know her in and out.
A good caring home for the aged may be the best option if they are available in your location.
On an unrelated note now, a general advise now to the younger. You hardly learn new habits in old age. If u re lazy now that u re young, depending on others to do the simplest of things for you, you will even be lazier and a burden in old age. If u re industrious wen younger and always trying to do ur simple stuffs ur self, u generally will become a self reliant oldie and even last longer. The less active u start becoming in old age, d faster ur body parts wither and ultimately......kapish |

ChisomGloria: It is obvious that to provide the highest level of customer service, employees should pay attention to customers and show that they’re accessible and available to clients who come in the door but with a cell phones at work policy in place, employees have guidelines for when they can take breaks and check their phones for calls, texts, social media or news. This reduces distractions and makes the workplace more productive. If cell phones make your employees more productive and to the interest of your customers as below, write policies that acknowledge their use for work while requesting that they use common sense to avoid distractions instead of locking up theirs phones during working hours. This is inhumane in this generation, phone is integral part of modern people life. How many of you people remember what lead to ENDSARS? Is just searching of phone talk more of denying someone his or her phone for 8hours. This is very sha*meful. See as this customer lost all her savings! Same you will come online to write epistle if a customer service person attending to you in a branch keeps answering her phone. On the topic, there are official lines for such calls that are available 24hrs, there are Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram handles as well. There's even ussd codes for blocking your acct. Familiarize yourself with your bank's emergency handles and do well to use such next time. |
