Especially during the budget defence when both houses are combined, the president and all his ministers and heads of agencies and all other money sharers are present. One very loud GBOOOOOOOM!!! And Nigeria will start looking like Singapore in a few years.
If it doesn't, rinse and repeat. Don't mind those saying they are fighting for their people, be it bokoharam or ND militant. until a group do what u have proposed, they are only feeding on their own interest |

Politics › Abacha Loot: 2 Nigerian Lawyers To Earn N6bn From Recovery Of $321m by lazeal(op): 2:39pm On Mar 19, 2018 |
The lawyers were reportedly appointed to do the same job being done by a Swiss lawyer, and will get nearly thrice the reward. https://static.pulse.ng/img/news/origs7686123/2366367769-w644-h960/dfffff263eba2f5ef58657177b5141403de0271d.jpgTwo Nigerian lawyers mysteriously appointed by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, are set to earn over N6 billion ($17 million) for their assistance in the repatriation of $321 million stolen by former Head of State, Sani Abacha. In an exclusive report by TheCable, AGF Malami recruited Oladipo Okpeseyi (SAN) and Temitope Isaac Adebayo in 2016 to duplicate the work of Swiss lawyer, Enrico Monfrini, who was already paid for the same job.
https://static.pulse.ng/img/incoming/origs8135110/0656365723-w644-h960/Swiss-lawyer-Enrico-Monfrini.jpg
Both Okpeseyi and Adebayo were lawyers of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the legacy party of President Muhammadu Buhari to which Malami served as legal adviser at the time.
According to the report by TheCable, Okpeseyi and Adebayo will be getting paid nearly thrice what Monfrini got for doing the same job that's yet incomplete.
An official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that spoke on the subject said the anti-graft agency is reviewing the case.
He said, "We understand the new lawyers are going to be paid $17 million but we are monitoring the situation closely. If a case of duplication is established, there will be consequences.
"This government takes the anti-graft war as a priority, as you well know, and this particular transaction is of interest to us."
The Federal Government had sought Monfrini's services in 2000 and was pivotal to the tracing and recovery of the $321 million from Luxembourg before it was domiciled with the attorney-general of Switzerland.
While the fund was not repatriated to Nigeria until former president, Goodluck Jonathan left power in 2015, AGF Malami and Swiss foreign minister, Didier Burkhalter, signed a letter of intent in March 2016 to ensure the restitution.
TheCable reported that Monfrini has refused to answer any questions after initially saying he did not know why Nigeria engaged the services of other lawyers. Source: http://www.pulse.ng/news/local/2-nigerian-lawyers-to-earn-n6bn-from-321m-abacha-loot-id8135028.html |

iHart: yes, it is in a busy place. Umuahia, the capital city of Abia. Already they have a business centre in the office where they type documents, photocopy, scan, laminate, do graphics design and printing jobs. However they still have like 20 good computers lying fallow in the office. Unfortunately I am no longer disposed to use the computers as i am busy with other things within and outside the office. I can only make suggestions to them as how to utilize the computers. I think you should go the training route. You can even partner with some internet business persons to use the computer for training them if wifi is enabled or you can train with the previously listed options. Training is the best way I see it here. |

If after an Igbo president, Nigeria still remains same, then Nigeria can never work! Let see if it's the Igbo that has the magic wand. which igbo president? I would rather vote Donald Duke 9r Yemi Osibanjo than an igbo for president. The current crop of igbo leaders have nothing to offer |
Business › Re: Business Betrayal By A Friend I Trusted... by lazeal(op): 4:44pm On Mar 18, 2018 |
LaudateII: I am sorry about all what you went through, but there are a lot of unexplained aspects. I read your story and I have a few questions.
1). Have you supplied any product/service through your friend to a particular person/company/3rd party? Or are you just seeking for a contract, to be given to you or your friend, so that you can both supply the goods/services? We are seeking the contract after the saw a sample of it at his place visit. They came for something else and developed interest and that was how it started. At the time they visited, we were trying to deal with another people. 2). Do you have any proof that the supplies were actually made to that specific person/company/3rd party, by your friend? only sample has been shown to them for demo, no supply yet. 3). Do you have any info on the time period for payment (e.g. 30 days or 45 days etc) or can you ascertain exactly how long it takes, for payment to be made, after goods/services are supplied? There are no time duration fixed on it. They keep promising that payment will be made. It was while waiting cos of delays that I urge my friend to find out if anything like this is going on at the final destination for the product and the response he said he got is that there are discussions already in motion and which the man found out and became angry with us for making inquiries behind his back. 4). If it is a genuine deal, most people/companies/3rd parties who require the goods, or those who have received the goods, would definitely have an idea of what you were talking about, when you called them on the phone. At best, they might ask you to call someone else in charge of that aspect within their organisation, by giving you another name, e-mail or number to call. At worst, if they do not want to divulge information on the phone, they might ask you some relevant questions such as:
a). What is the name of your firm, when were the goods/services delivered, and to whom? b). Ask you to write a formal letter stating the whole transaction and how it took place, so they can direct it to the relevant authorities, within the firm.
c) List out the relevant procedures/steps you need to go through, to actually get the contract. It may not get you the deal at the end of the day, but you would have gotten relevant information, on how next to proceed.
Finally, your friend is not being transparent and honest. He is not divulging relevant facts, and his secrecy could cause you to lose money and reputation, at the end of the day. Please be careful with him.
If there is truly a contract in place, (as in there is a specific person/company/3rd party who truly requires your goods/services), then your friend should show you details of the contract and/or the LPO for the job. Then make sure you keep a copy with you, which you can go and verify at the firm which issued it.
Last word: If you decide to proceed further with this friend, please ensure you both agree on the rules of engagement. There should be a minimum amount of info, that he needs to provide to you, like customers' name, delivery point, LPO copy and payment period. If he cannot give you all these, kindly walk! Thank you sir. No goods has been supplied just yet because the agreement is that they pay part before we supply. Technically, the man is reselling to the the final destination after paying us off. So my understanding is that he is waiting for final instruction from them and he doesnt want to stock the product without getting final approval from them. Please can I send you a pm? |

I am of the believe that men should stop treating woman as lesser humans just because of old tradition. Tiwa is not ready to ditch her music career for a house wife role and I support that. You should be ready to support your wife's ambition. I can't marry a woman and put her in the house.... You have got to contribute your own quota as well. No to house wife Biko. |

The guy should move on Biko. That was how another one uploaded sex video some weeks ago just because a lady broke up with him. Celcius: @lazeal I'm sorry this happened to you. These are some of the challenges we try to address while working with startups/entrepreneurs. @MrMcJay made a good point. All of it you will find in a piece I posted today- http://www.foddscapital.com/partnering-finance-challenge/ No matter what the scale of business might be, it is best to get an MoU. Now, if you can not look a partner in the eye and say you need to write an MoU, this will be our general assumption: 1. That the business is not set to grow 2. You are desperate or afraid of your partner. All a recipe for failure. We should always note that as business grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to allot shares and assets. Thanks so much for this. I have taken note of every tips shared here. I do hope everything works out later so I can share the good news with everyone and also seek your advice on structuring my idea into an establish company or organization. |
Properties › Re: The N589.3M House In Omole As Valued By LASG For Land Use Charge by lazeal: 9:23am On Mar 14, 2018 |
Espada10: There is something happening in lagos, that this APC politicians are trying to cover.
The kind of legal and illegal embezzlement going on in that state is unprecedented.
Lagos is in such a debt (internationally and locally) they can never ever finish paying.
The man is right what started as a child play during Thiefnibu is now a grown child under ambode and will continue to grow unless a miracle occurs ( in Nigeria that is unlikely ).
My only advise to non-Yorubas living in lagos
1) start now and prepare to leave lagos
2)Leave all this ibeju -lekki nonsense ornoyher lagos environs bla bla and invest in Akwa ibom ( my state) or calabar or akwa cross (whichever) this is where things will be happening in the next 10 years ..The wind is blowing down South
I don talk my own! ! I love Akwa Ibom, so peaceful. If only there can be more industries in that state, it will help a lot but sadly, there are not. Yeah, all those ibeju lekki noise no be here. I think it will be hard for people who already own house in Lagos to vacate just like that and if they would move, the closest would be OGUN STATE. People are in Lagos not because they love it but because of the commercial activities that goes on there. I can tell you that if any state can start developing rapidly right now, people will move. Other state government have a lot of works to do. |

doctokwus: So because someone owns many houses he must pay that outrageous amount? What if he or she is a developer that just rents out these properties? So he should then transfer it to the tenants? The way some of you reason atimes just baffles one! There is a criminal enterprise going on in Lagos and some of you still want to rationalize it based on only God knows what!! lol... I think people should start moving to Ogun state ooo |
