No it's not the phone. I've used a bunch of phones and its the same thing. Truecaller connects before u answer the call. Once u answer the call ur internet gets suspended until after the call. This happens a lot whenever I'm playing online on ps4 using my phone's hotspot. Whenever I answer a call I get disconnected from ps4.

My friend you are totally wrong receiving a call doesn't suspend intenet connectivity,when am receiving a call i still recieve whatsapp messages,bbm and what have you on my phone,i use an android phone by the way but i do know on bbm when you are receiving a call internet connectivity is suspended even on high end bb like passport.
