this is not true,,i know of someone who got his ILR in less than 2yrs,with ILR citizenship shouldn't take more than 6yrs,,bt d applicant must be free frm all criminal offences.

Really?.....You can be living in the US for 20 yrs sef...but if you don't have "papers"/Green Card you are not a Permanent Resident. If you been living in the US for 20 yrs as a Permanent Resident ..and you commit a felony....you will serve all or part of your sentence then forwarded to Immigration for deportation. Citizens are not deported. If you are a Permanent Resident....return to your country of origin and forgot/lost your Green Card...or....spend more than 6 months ....good luck on re entering the US.
