Hello, Foodies/Foodlanders.... I'm a guy who loves cooking. Infact, i have adopted it as a hobby.. Though, i've been cooking with STAR MAGGI, as my favourite, i've cooked once or twice with KNOOR... I don't know if due to my love for Star, i couldn't get the taste of Knoor. So, with the various seasonings we have, can we know your prefered choice? And which do you think is the best?
Kyase: I thought oke was the OK one? Abegii na APC win ondo no be ake, no be e face dey the ballot paper... But I like this guy bear bear ooooo Sai Ake
Nigerian Politics is ''SELECTION'' and not ''ELECTION'' (with the Ruling Party from the Top paving the way for the states to dominate.) And as such, i don't find myself getting involved with Nigerian Politics/Elections. #People's votes don't count.. But..............some PDP fans right now after Ondo Selection
emeraldknytt: It is a good thing you've decided to give back to God but I don't see any (not much) sense at the thought of paying tithes via a surrogate.
There is this song Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers (the needy) that, you do unto me'.
Nothing beats putting your contributions in a productive place not just some arbitrary location where you do not know how the religiously and judiciously it will be used.
Look around you, there must be that family that's got nothing to live on, even if they do not portray the need. Check out for kids you can reach out too. Such things are what the church ought to look into with majority of the funds it inputs...
God bless you as you take into heart and hearken to what I just made a point of.
What i really meant is giving to someone to pay on my behalf in church and not as if i'm givng to him or her in place of the church.. In terms of the needy, i do give. And i can humbly say i'm a giver.
If worshiping God is a thing of the heart, i will say i'm a christian. But, i don't go to church. i stopped going to church when i realised that most Pastors now detail their preachings, teachings and sermons on wealth, which i really don't like. As a Pastor, i believe the most important teaching should be salvation, repentance and getting closer to God. Assuming a wealthy man goes to seek for salvation and the Pastor is preaching wealth. What would he do? How would he feel? Imagine an armed robber goes to church to seek forgiveness and repentance, and the Pastor is preaching about wealth, what would he do? How would he feel? The House of God should be a place to seek Refuge, peace, Happiness and Glory in Christ, Jesus. And not a place to seek wealth and fame. A true preacher should tell the congregation that you can never get rich or achieve success by marely coming to church without individual efforts outfield, hardwork and delligent. After so much consideration, i stopped going to church. I read my Bible and say my prayers at home. But, i want to start giving offerings and tithes again. And i'm thinking on giving it to people to pay for me in church. My fellow Nairalanders, how do you see it? Right or wrong?
UrennaNkoll: If a church would own a school, let it be free. Afterall, the bibl says give and it shall be given unto you.
Now, that is the issue. These churches even charge much more than some standard schools. To the extent they even drove away pupils whose parents don't pay on time. Yet, their teachers are of average level.
I decided to come up with this topic after much thoughts on how our churches, through religious means are trying to make sure that every money we earn must come to the church. One way or another.. I've seen so many churches around that owns a Nur./Pri. school. some even owns higher institutions. And curiously, i'm asking. Why not listen and answer to a single calling? Or is it God that instructed them to open schools along with their churches? Or is our tithe, offering and thanksgiving not enough that they also want our children's school fees to be with the church. If this church-owned schools were to be free Education, it would have been better. But some of them seem to come just for the money so much that their fees are high, yet, with average teachers. My fellow Nlanders, i'm asking: Is this necessary?
Crystal70200: As Nigeria continues to battle economic recession, the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has proposed to fund part of the 2017 budget deficit of N2.69 trillion from monies recovered from looters.
According to reports, FG in a Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper submitted to the National Assembly is proposing to spend the sum of N6.86tn in 2017, with total revenue of N4.16tn.
With a funding gap of N2.69tn, the government said part of the deficit would be financed with recoveries from looted funds, the rest would be from borrowings.
“Based on the revenue and expenditure estimates, the fiscal deficit is estimated to increase by about N492bn or 22.32 per cent from the estimate of N2.2tn in 2016. “However, while this remains below the maximum three per cent of the Gross Domestic Product stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007, it is projected to take a downward turn afterwards.
“The deficit is to be financed mainly by borrowing as well as recoveries of misappropriated public funds/assets.” “Borrowing will be geared towards funding critical capital projects that have potential to effectively increase productivity, and hence, provide mechanism for refinancing the debt,” the document read in part.
When a govt. that has the right strategy comes, nigeria will become great.. When a child is hungry while the mother is about to cook, she gives him #5 to buy biscuit while he waits for the food. So, if any govt. wants to succeed without pressure from the people, we're about 170 million in population. Just share 1million each to everyone from the ''Trillions''. While they'll be doing one or two buisness with it, the Govt. Will take its time to work effectively.
Yenne: Thank you very much. I really appreciate your kind heart. Although, not everyone with believe me. I don't blame them, dishonesty is more in the world.
Hi, Yenne, are u on whatsapp? Add me up with 08034438158.. I want to talk with u privately.

This is not an issue of being mentally unstable. It is a spiritual occurence. No matter the extent of one's ill mental state, there's no way the throat could have accept all these items. I believe her village people were practicing science/human anatomy with her.
What's it with u guys and ''Go & Marry'' stuff? It makes post uninteresting.. Besides, this Omo isn't upto 25yrs.. Are u then advising a guy of 25-27 to hurried get married because of an old item u remembered? Or do we now place our time scale of marriage on the longevity of products
RadicallyBlunt: Op be cautious of the way you follow the advises above me o. You just said ur hubby wasn't like this before but now he's showing his color at d slightest provocation. Who knows...you may think taking the above steps will calm him down but turn out to make things worse and these so called advicers would not be there to help your marriage. A man with a child can still remarry o but an after-one woman may find it difficult.
Even if you're young blooded with radicality i still advice you to use a better approach not because ur husband is d head blabla but because you dont want to go thru a long marriage palava so early in life. Because if he takes d matter to his family he will not say he started it first. And your own family have received your total bride price...eaten it sef. So
Calm your anger, talk to him heart-to-heart first, if that doesnt work, you can talk to your pastor or snr in-laws that have good sense of reasoning too...this is essential. Let them know you told them first so that when you take action, it will have deep effect and impression. Don't be deceived with the "no 3rd party" advice for new couples. There are some things you may actually need some one for. what matters is the kinda 3rd person you involve and of course not always.
Besides what you're going thru is normal in the first 1-2yrs of marriage. Both of you will stabilize soon
That is why it is good to have stabilizer in the house
Mujtahida: On this forum ehn the way yorubas and ibos go for each other's throats hurling derogatory words at each other is pathetic and yet we say that whites are racist. I don't understand ooo, I don't.
How do u feel when an illiterate downgrade an educated person? I only tried to let the goat see that he's not in the lady's class. & he feels he can go into a war of words.. The sweet thing is i'm not from the east.
kingthreat: Freaking ipob azzwipe. Better go and rescue your sister in the baby factory in Aba. She don born 4 already.
Your women are so cheap to the extent even the married ones still Bleep in the houses. I have 3 in my compound. And the worse of it all, due to their obessity, they can't wash their bodies well enough to prevent that room killing odour.
