Gbee19: Hello NL family kudos to those that have been enlightening us here with their experience and the gurus in the house. I have been a silent reader ere since and I appreciate and congratulations to those that have make it with AL, AD, AM AND Visa and for those of us who got rejection despite meeting all necessary requirements not to give up but keep trying and learn from our mistakes. Please I seek your advice for those of us that want to apply this summer, it seems few schools offer admission in summer and I will be glad if I can see who to help me out with schools that offer direct applications and anybody who know more about course in Communication Engineering / Information technology to please help me through. TH Koln has a course in Network Communications but they use UNIASSIST. If you have the money, don't avoid UNIASSIST. It will be worth it at the end. Regards |

Please guys my AL for MSc has an Abuja address but I already have an appointment date with Lagos. Will it be smart for me to email the German embassy to rearrange to Abuja Embassy for me cos I'm trying to save cost. I saw on the German embassy website where they wrote that Abuja Embassy processes MSc and PhD visa application.
Gurus in the house, please I need your advice

Mayfav: Thanks for this inspiring piece I' m a female computer science graduate(second class upper) with no experience except a 6months internship. I would love to go for MS in information systems or information engineering because I don't really like coding and maths. Please my question goes thus. 1)which school/city can u recommend as I don't have money to renew the blocked account in the following year? 2)Also I would love a city where I can get internship during my studies so as to gain some work experience 3) Is it only programmers that are in demand in Germany?what are the chances for other fields in IT? 4)I would appreciate if u think there are other courses that are good as well. Thanks and God bless. 1. Berlin, Bonn 2. Seems like one can get internship during the third semester or so. It depends on your school though. But I think it's possible. 3. I think the other fields in IT are also in demand. 4. The thing about Germany is that most schools admit students on a consecutive basis i.e your previous education must be closely related to the masters you're applying for. So you should be applying for a course related to Computer Science so as to boost your chances of getting admitted. You said you made a 2.1. Once you arrange your CV and motivation letters very well, you should get admission and don't avoid UNIASSIST. I saw what you wrote about maths and coding. Well, it may be quite difficult for you to survive a masters in a computer related field if you don't have coding and maths skills. Is it that you have no passion for them or you weren't taught well. If it's the latter, I will suggest that you sign up for coding classes. People who know coding did not come with it from heaven, they learnt through practice. With constant practice, you can get it too. I heard programming is very profitable in Germany. But if you have a natural aversion for maths and coding, then I would advice you go for another BSc in Germany in a field that you love. You mustn't go for a masters. After your BSc, you can still secure a job with it and you will adapt easily. Going for a masters in Computer Science related field like the Information Systems you mentioned may be too tedious for you. I wish you well. Jesus will see us through. |

Kamps: Had my interview today 15/7/2019..
Slept at a friend's place in Ogudu. Local man woke up around 3:30am ,then it struck my mind that I need prayers. 4:30 am at Obalende already, I nearly lost OH because I thought all the cars that are heading to VI are following same route.. But I called someone up and she told me how to find my way to the Embassy. I was in a hurry to leave that Bus stop. Only God knows why they wake up early like that in Lagos.
My Interview, Had my interview @ Cubicle 3 VO was so much concerned about my undergraduate studies, if it is related to my master's. She asked me this 3/4 times. VO : What is your full name. VO: Your course. VO: Have you been learning German at all. VO: why this course. VO: why Germany. VO: why not USA, UK and other European countries. VO: why not Nigeria, she even said this your course is not studied here in Nigeria oh. VO: Date of birth on my passport. VO: what's your CGPA and she said with that grade why your school didn't allow you to graduate with 2.1 now.. VO: is it MA or MSC. VO: Facts about Germany, after I told her how Germany moved its capital 7 times and mentioned. VO: Geographical Location of Germany, President's name, Chancellor's name and her Political party and the leaders of Bundesrat and Bundestag, Economy of Germany. VO: Bachelor Thesis. VO: Do you have anybody in Germany. VO: Plan after studies. Me and the VO joked that I will have to pay for her pen that I used. She was so lively and cool. I noticed she was looking at me eyeball to eyeball to know if this Local man knows what he is saying. She checked the school website that I applied to but I don't have an idea what she was looking at there.. AM for us all! Congratulations! |
