Politics › Re: OPC To Give Protective Service In Ijegun by Legitbaba(m): 10:53am On Jul 31, 2016 |
HungerBAD: I mean, this is a good move by the OPC.
The plan of the OPC is to protect, and not destroy their land. The Militants in the Niger Delta, are destroying their own lands, and his is why i support this move by the OPC.
So let us talk about these militants.
The Militants in the West are a product of two worlds. They are from Ondo State, which is in the West. But, they are the Ijaws and the Itsekiri from Ondo State, and these guys are not Yoruba's, but pure Niger Deltans, who by accident of wrongful map drawing, find themselves in the Western part of Nigeria.
A typical example is Oritsefemi the Musician, who is an Itsekiri, but from Ondo State.
So, we can safely say the militants hitting the Western part of Nigeria are actually Westerners, and so the OPC should be ready to fight against their own brothers.
Lastly, kudos goes to the Nigerian Military for the flushing out, bombing and killing of these militants. FEMI is Delta..not Ondo.... |

agrovick: The question is what has the Ministry of Niger Delta and the NDDC plus the 13% oil derivative achieved? This is what I hate most....what are u talking about What has the federal govt. Done with the remaining percentage?? What has Nigeria achieved since after the white men left us?? Nothing, absolutely nothing. We are still grappling with same issues of, "no light" no this, no that....we have people suffering in every parts of the country.. wether in Lagos or Abuja.... even as the fed. Govt is taking the larger chunk of the proceeds from oil.. .the Niger Delta Is in a seemingly worse state because of the terrain and the endless oil pollutions..which deserve endless developmental strides... Nothing is gonna work when the mega watts generated in omoku is taken to federal grid before being re distributed to rivers state, nothing will work when Ekiti state is waiting for the month to run out to go to Abuja for their pay without working...yet ull have the guts to call the Niger Deltan people lazy We can't fight our state govts. Or elders because they don't control the police, or military which is supposed to give us security. We can't fight our state govts. Because they have no direct influence on how oil companies should or shouldn't operate...we can't fight our state govts because they only get what d federal govt decides and not necessarily what they deserved.... Just leave us alone... make every body answer him papa name, since u guys said we are even too lazy to work...allow us to die in our laziness....just leave us alone thats what we want |

Kollyman: I beg to disagree....!
The problem of Niger Delta is not the government but the leaders and their elders!
I don't know if you stayed in that region before then you would understand what Jonathan mean by "stealing is not corruption".
Everyone you see making noise in that region are not interested in the well-being of the region but they only want to get their share of the national cake and relocate!
Jonathan was there for 6yrs, what was his achievement for the region?
Timpolo, Asari, boyloff, Orubebe, Clark to mention but a few, what was their contribution towards the development of that region? All those guys I mentioned are billionaires, how do they get their money?
ND should go and put their house in order Imagine...oil was discovered over 50 years ago...and all u could talk about was how Jonathan spent 6 years Yea...I'll blame Jonathan for not doing enough....buh u know Nigeria with their fucckking federal character shit... whatever the Niger Delta is benefiting, the north wants to get their own share too, if not, trouble don come. BTW...none of the people u mentioned is a politician...they are like every other citizen bar the fact that they were militants...they didn't get their monies from looting or being in govt. ...don't u have billionaires in the north?? Or any other part in Nigeria?? Because we have them billionaires, govt. Shouldnt do anything for u?? Na Lugard do all this shiit |

sirthisthickkal: what was he expecting before? Was he thinking the soldiers would alert him before their arrival then after getting to his house, they knock on his door, he opens the door, then they come in and sit down with him and and start interrogating him? Nah! the military don't operate like that they carry out their operations with "force". And that's why they are called military forces. For the sake of his kids, he had better start spilling out everything he knows about tompolo before those torture deprived soldiers restrategize his body with brusies. Mind u...the police also have force attached to their name.. does it give them same powers too ..it's a national security because he is an Ijaw (Gbaramatu) man, is same thing happens or le me say dare to happen...ull cry to high heavens in the front pages of the dailies As for the Ijaws.....fight for what you believe no matter what, no level of intimidation or military invasion should scare u |

delawal: the problem of Niger delta people is their elites. I take for example, within d past 8years in anambra state, u will notice a great government presence and development strides in d state ranging from renovation of schools, roads, public transport system, security systems etc. anambra does not enjoy 13% derivation nor among d NDDC states yet its moving forward. the state runs itself principally with its IGR. Niger delta people are being played by their elites who make themselves super rich from funds marked out for that region. every year we are back to square one issue of how to develop Niger delta, militancy and co. me am tired of this cancerous boil on the way forward for this country. The more reason we need to cut them out of Nigeria.....their wahala too much |
