I have always said it that Niger Delta will be a war zone worst than South Sudan if they secede from Nigeria. Imagine common Ijaw Youth Council cannot conduct an election or selection to have their leaders.

Is this the calibre of people that will dialogue with the President on issues concerning the Niger Delta? grin grin cheesy it's a pity!

Is this the same people that will conduct an election in a country they wish to have? The Niger Delta people have not been progressive people that's why even with the oil in the region because of the greed and selfishness of the people, they cannot even benefit from the resources because of the winner takes all mentality.

Since blame is a lazy man's game they choose to blame the FG for their woes and don't be surprised that people will still blame President Buhari for this. Bayelsa State governor had one time said that 'Bayelsa people are very lazy, and I'll like to extend it to the whole Niger Delta, politics is like an industry in the region because one doesn't need to do much to gain billions hence the fight!

I pity those supporting the Niger Delta Avengers, you think they are fighting for you but you'll be shocked when the chickens finally come to roast, that's the same mentality then in South Sudan but today they realise that Sudan wasn't the enemy. It's too late. Be wise!
My friend......why are you guys so interested in hating on the Niger Delta, and Ijaw in particular...this are internal issues....and it may happen to any organization or group as far as ones interest is in conflict with another's...we all saw what happend(happening) to PDP....it happend to APC at some point when saraki and Dogara issues came up...I mean even our "honorable" reps nd senators fight, using mace to chase each other, some even climbing fence..are they all from Ijaw or Niger Delta??... oh u think we are so lazy?? Well why not allow the lazy people to stay on their own with their lazy ass??
Why not Mind your business and leave the Niger Delta alone

its a pity you guys cant do without talking about Nigerdelta.

May be you should also tell us who was Nigeria's president from 1999 - 2007 but dont also forget to tell us the minister of cocoa in those years.

NDA simple demand is let me manage my resources (oil n gas) and you also manage your cocoa
Ma brother....me.am tired of them, all I do these days is to watch and laugh at their comments....they come up with silly stories like "our son was their for six years" and all that. Making it seem like Nigeria had just existed for six years...or the oil exploration started six years ago
I thought they were bragging about the oil in Lagos and ondo, (not forgetting the one in Chad basin) why are they still worried that the oil in ND would no longer flow again?? Where is all the talk about diversifying the economy bla bla bla

With Their hypocritical statements like "let them blow up everything" "they are destroying their land" " who will suffer more" etc...but will still cry to high heavens when a pipe line is being blown up...BTW, our lands are already polluted to a large extent, so allow us with our polluted land..just leave us alone..we no do again

I believe there are army that are from Niger-Delta.FG should send their own people that are in the army to go fit themselves since them nor wan get sense. Go and see what the Igbos and deltans are doing in Lagos. U will think they own Lagos.yet, Yorubas never fit them say make dem nor come take work from them. This is a nation that anyone has the right to be and do anything he/she likes in as much it's in accordance with the Constitution governing the nation. Why won't FG probe past leaders from Niger-Delta? Even when they k kw that these leaders even forsake them. Instead of them to seize the opportunity to bring their wicked leaders to justice, they are protecting them. It's a pity. For the 7 years Jonathan ruled, what change was brought to Niger-Delta? Y didn't they do this rubbish during his time? DG should use jet fighters to wipe them out of the surface of this earth because it's not a just fight they are fighting.
It's a pity that this people are attaching political sentiments to the Niger Delta struggle....WTF has Dasuki got to do with the Niger Deltahuh What has PDP and APC gat to do with us eitherhuh... we want a N.Delta Republic...that's all....
The earlier the NDA took away that part of their demand the better for us....unless they are out there to play politics with the name.of Niger Delta agaim

PMB should declare State of Emergency in RIvers, Delta and Bayelsa.

All routes in and out of the creeks in those states, whether on land sea or air should be blocked.

CIvilians should be given a window to pass through controlled exit points to safety within a stipulated period.

Afterwards, bombing of everything moving and standing on land air and sea should commence. There should be continuous and sustained baptismal of hell fire for 7days and 7 nights by Army, Air FOrce and Navy.

Simply assist the militants to finish off their bombing assignment.

Nigeria will start exploration again afterwards. No one has a monopoly of madness.

I read all that but both of us know that Wachuku achieved especially with making sure Amaechi’s projects were completed. Achieving a lot with the funds at his disposal. I did not buy that Wachuku is a lazy man talk.

Wike did not charge the new commissioner not to be lazy. He charged him for new projects. Meanwhile thy are a lot of projects close to completion that would benefit the Rivers People.

While embark on new ones when the Government can achieve more with less money. Wachuku had the right direction for the state.
One reason I keep quiet and watch in this forum (and many other platforms) is the difficulty in convincing people who just believes in their opinion as the real deal...
You just assuming the reason behind the sack, when a cogent reason was given by the govt..you have refused to give the governor the benefit of doubt just because of your political sentiments....Wike made a recent statement that he was going to complete projects left by Ameachi b cause it's of the greater good of the people..most of the roads been completed and commissioned were Ameachi's project.... however he said he was going to discontinue the rail project even b4 d election....

BTW...I'm not one of those who are wowed by the Wike administration...not yet until four years...though he has quenched a reason percent of my doubt...

When you guys want to make your point, you attack the person. Leave how I feel about Hon. Amaechi.

The distance so far is just the first phase of the project. The so called billions screamed about is not only for the first phase. It was to cover a long distance and it would have eased urban mass transit on the road. It would also generate revenue internally for the state daily.
How it would generate the revenue is why am asking.....i didn't attack u or Ameachi,i only said u should come clean without sentiments. Like I said before, I would have loved the rail to be completed because of the amount of money spent already and the beauty it would add to the covered area.

Lastly I ain't talking about the projected amount...am talking about how much has been spent already before it got to.this stage...

Ameachi has truly been the best governor of Rivers state, though we are urging Wike to even do more...
PoliticsRe: . by Legitbaba(m): 10:18am On Jun 04, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

One of the reasons Wike sacked the outgoing Commissioner of Works was because he continued most of Amaechi’s projects in the state.

It was not a delight to Wike.

Actually, the Monorail would add commercial value to Port-Harcourt and the State.
What commercial value are u talking about?? Do u even know the distance covered by the rail.?? Commercial value in the sense of tourism??...again I'll asked do u know how much money that was pump into that project....I know u have a soft spot for Ameachi (which u have the right to) let's say the truth....

And again...for the commissioner of works....Wike stated the reasons why he was relieved of his duties...and I did not hear him mention anything concerning Ameachi project...

“Governor Wike said that he will not touch Amaechi’s monorail and that the entire state has told him not to continue with the project. Can someone please tell Wike that the monorail belongs to Rivers State and it’s not Amaechi’s private monorail”, Hon. Amaechi stated.
U probably didn't take notice of some of the revelations concerning that monorail....do u know how much has been spent on that rail....do u know Ameachi was adviced to discontinue d project at a ground level b cos it was of no economic value to the state?? ...don't put politics to everything u do...it has helped nobody...and certainly wouldn't help you....Ameachi is a great man any day any time.....he did well for his people b4 politics came over him...I'll like wike to continue the project....but he even made it clear before he was elected..that he won't continue with it...b.cos it won't add any economic value to d average rivers man.....BTW. He continued with almost every other project that was left by Ameachi...if not for few that he hasn't said anything about.....

You are so wrong with your ascertion. Almost the entire South Central Nigeria once paid tributes to Benin kingdom.

@OP Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Edo are not Niger Delta. They are only in South south as a Geopolitical zone. Niger Delta comprises of the Niger tributaries which is inhabited mostly by Ijaw ethnic group and other smaller ethnic groups like Okrika, Kalabari, Ogbia, Abua, Andoni, Bonny who are all closely related to Ijaw.
All the tribes u mentioned regards themselves as Ijaw.. except for maybe Abua Andoni
