Lawode: Good evening guys, Glory to God!!!!!! our testimony came in early! Family of four. Student permit for wife and SOWP for me. We did all by ourselves and with the help of God, and the hope and inspiration given by the application details provided by @Oloking and @Dayo96 ( Dear Brother, the saving project worked). @Tolulope1 thanks for being so warm and helpful. We submitted the usual documents so there is nothing to list in that regard except the few unique ones like: a) a letter confirming my remote work arrangement, as opposed to letter for leave of absence ( I can't leave my job ). b) Documents confirming annual emolument of sponsor ( I am sponsoring my wife) , c) Applicant's and Sponsor's Employment documents d) One year pay slip of sponsor e) One year statement of account ( Naira and Dorm) f) International training certificates g) Letter of Sponsorship (detailing my income and how the funds available were made, the huge transfers into my wife's account from Bonuses earned last year, and the corresponding payslips) h) Wife's SOP ( 22 pages or so, detailing every aspect of the application. Why she wants to study PGD after Masters, why she is traveling with family, etc, she was very sincere in that write up) i) Letter of Intent from me ( stating my true intentions, the need to be with my family, the situation surrounding my job and why I had to go to Canada with my job) j) Bill and receipts for children had in the US (k) Explanation of the intent to sell the dollars in my Dorm at the parallel rate. l) Commitment to fall back on my RSA should I lose my job or sell two of my vehicles m) Hometies - Job, work benefits ( I have a lot to lose in benefits if I don't come back, and this is the absolute, verifiable truth), personal relationship with employer, established profession etc) n) Travel history ( UK, US, UAE - existing US visa o) Plans to convert 25% of RSA towards mortgage under the new policy in that regard. p) I had to state a commitment towards monthly savings to shore up my proof of fund for living expenses in the second year. We have funds for the first year. q) We paid the first year tuition.
These are things that easily come to mind.
My observations and advice:
1. Tell your story truthfully and back it up with as much evidence as you can get, it is easier selling the truth. 2. Explain every deposit 3. Have your sponsor transfer substantial but explainable funds into your account ( all funds were transferred into my wife's account) 4. Please make a joint application if you have the funds, don't state your spouse is your home tie when you know you will want them to join you later ( say the truth) 5. Use the MBS 6. Travel history helps with quicker record verification ( it is not a major factor, but it helps buttress the fact that you are not trying to Japa) 7. Provide details of your registered business if you have one, otherwise show other means of social establishment in Nigeria 8. Do not do half measure, go all out to prove the facts that you state, again this boils down to if you are saying the truth. 9. Give a detail description of your study plan. Prepare your SOP like a tough interview question and answer session. Address all the issues sincerely ( your truth is your truth, don't try to play smart. e.g. my siblings are abroad and I didn't hide that, just stated that I have always returned to Nigeria in spite of that) 10. Show a reasonable career progression. Don''t jump from Customer Service to Nursing or Health Care Assistance without a solid explanation. 11. Research and do it yourself if you can, otherwise, provide all the information , including the SOP and make sure you can see yourself and not a stranger in the story being presented on your behalf. It is easy for one to forget a lie but the truth never fades. 12. Huge funds without detailed explanation of the source will work against you 13. Don't be afraid to transfer lump sum so far there is a good, plausible explanation. 14. This is a good time to apply, do it now, the time line might get worse again - I was going to continue to save until I have at least 20million, in addition to the fees for the second year tuition for my wife, but @Dayo96 and @Olokings story on guaranteed savings encouraged me. ( I still intend to continue to save until the money is complete, but we already of the visa, so it is good to just get on with it and hope that the truth will make you free. 15. This is one situation where the strength of man cannot promise success, there is the huge element of the grace of God. Please acquaint yourself with God, let this mission bring you close to Him and the knowledge of His will. Be sure God wants you to do this and live your life in the fear of God. Application submitted - February 1 Biometrics done - February 8 Upfront Medicals passed - February 14 Eligibility Started - February 19 BVL & PPR - February 21.
I give glory to God, this is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our eyes. My wife is super pumped for her post graduates and the family time we will have in Canada. Congratulations sir. Please i want to ask. If someone has a registered business (asides working) but there is not tax records and the person does not pay herself salary, is there any point mentioning it in the SOP at all? Secondly, in my place of work, our salary is paid cash. Not transfer. No pay slip (its a small organization). I hope it won't e a source of concern? |

main24: It will be difficult to get positive minded people, goal oriented with great hunger and fire for growth through open letter like this. Instead you will get Wolves in sheep clothing. The best way to get them is: (i) go through topics you fancy (here or any other social media). (ii) Read through others comment/replies. (iii) Any user's post you like, go through their other comments on other threads to verify it's not just one off thing. (iv) Follow and stalk their comment overtime (some you might not like, lol) But if a good number of it sounds positive and motivated, you can see if you can exchange contacts from there.
But the real litmus test is YOU: You have to be positive and motivated for any positive and motivated person to allow you into their space.
So go on a personal development journey: Books, videos, audio book, seminars, etc Wishing you all the best. Thank you sooo much. 1 Like |

Family / Oh My God... I Just Killed A Snake In My Compound. by Legitmenaija: 10:02pm On Feb 18, 2023 |
Just about 60 minutes ago, i stepped out to padlock the main gate due to breeze/wind that blows at night and if the gate isn't locked with padlock, the breeze will force the gate open and leave our compound exposed all through the night.
As i was approaching the gate, my phone touch light captured this wriggling thing moving right across in front of me.
Lo and behold it was a snake and it was moving fast, thank God i saw a stick nearby, my 1st target was the head.
Once i was able to dislocate the head from the rest of the body, made a short video (the body was still wiggling actively) and took a pic and i looked for stone and used it to smash the body and then proceeded to call my male neighbor who buried it.
Chai... My 1st time seeing and killing a snake in my compound even though my neighbor whose flat is close to the empty plot just beside us kills them often.
Na wah... I don't even know if i should be scared or not.
I'm just grateful to God that i saw it and it didn't escape.
Ironically, today is my first time of going to padlock that gate. I went to do it because a man living on same street saw me this morning when i was driving out and he told me that we should be making extra conscious effort to be locking our gate at night because he used to see our gate open in wee hours of the night when he is returning from work late.
Hhhmmmm.. To God be all glory ๐๐๐๐๐
By the way... What is the specie of this snake?

Been a silent reader, canโt thank you all enough for your selfless work, it really helped me. Iโm adopting ogidiganโs method because I think dropping a profile is important. I was desperate for peoples profiles to know if their circumstance was similar to mine.
1st time applicant (though I have an EE profile). 30 year old married (separated) female, self sponsored, living and working in the UK & Nigerian nationality. I studied computing in bsc & msc and I build business software so this is a logical progression- I explained this & that I wanted a promotion in my LOE as reason for study.

Please i have few questions. PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER ABEG๐๐
I have 3 kids but i am applying alone and using them as home ties. Do i prepare international passport for them? Will their data page be requested during the course of my study permit application?
Secondly my certificate is still yet to be released from Ambrose Alli University (i graduated since 2007 ooo and i applied for certificate 2 years and even paid someone to help me monitor it, yet its still dragging). But i have my transcripts{original copy) and statement of result. Will statement of result be sufficient?
Lastly, ex husband and i are currently seperated (over 2 years and no hope of reconciliation), will this in any way hinder my application since i am still a answering his surname name and my applications and majority of my docs and bank accounts are in his surname. |

This is my timeline- 4 years course May resumption I did Biochemistry in my first degree, graduated in 2010. But I've been into business since 7 years ago, I decided to study Business economics (Bsc)
First application Submitted October 3rd, 2022 Biometric: 17th October, 2022 Upfront Medical test: 14th November, 2022 Visa refused: 20th December, 2022
Reason: Insufficient fund and insufficient documentation to support my sponsors
I submitted all the neccessary documents but I didn't notarized any of the letters of my sponsors. My husband and my brother are my sponsors. I had #4.5 in my naira account and $7,500 in my dollar account. My 2 sponsors had more than 80,000 USD in their dollar accounts. I paid 11,500 CAD to my school account. So I thought my financial aspect is settled, not until I was refused. I didn't submitted any of my property documents in my first application. My brother transferred #9.5M into my account while my husband transferred 12,500 USD into my Domiciliary account . And they both submitted accounts of 80,000 USD. I have #11.5 in my naira account and 15,000 USD in my dom account
Both of my sponsors sworn an affidavit of giving me 25,000 CAD each year throughout my study stay and they indicated that the money they transferred into my account was part of the money they promised and they will balance up b4 school resumes
I submitted all our landed properties documents (empty lands of 4 plots, shopping complex, four flats building and uncompleted duplex building). Also my car documents
My husband helped me with another comprehensive SOP and detailed Letter of explanation
I submitted enough family pictures

Is church recommendation letter compulsory?
For NOVA SCOTIA, i read some discouraging comments here of recent and it got me scared, if the school isn't able to provide accommodation, can one get accommodation in a town close to it?

Let me mention that I did not include Police character certificate, land documents or other property documents because I do not have any of those things. It is true that 2 applications cannot be the same, sometimes too much of documents even can get Visa Officers confused. The above listed documents were all I submitted. It is good to read people's TL to be encouraged but some TL will get you intimidated and confused. My application was a self- sponsored. And all I submitted as POF was 10.4m
I am a first time applicant and I have never traveled out of Nigeria before. I never enter plane before self despite the fact that I work at the airport until last month that I went for medical and biometric. Travel history is not a criteria.
The total of my tuition for the 1 year is about 20,000 cad + 10,000 cad living expenses+ 3000 cad miscellaneous.
How I addressed POF.
My salary is around 100k. I knew for sure that it is too little to present as monthly earnings. what I did was to use all the 1.7m I had in 2021 to buy Toyota Corolla. I planned running bolt with it for a good 1 year before submitting my application. I explained that I drive my car on bolt platform on part-time basis anytime am off duty. Each month I make sure i make over 100k net profit from bolt. I submitted 12 months MBS to show that I truly make such money from bolt. I collected a loan of 8m from a co-op society, collected 2m from a friend because I knew the 8m won't be enough to show as POF. I wrote in the LOE that this my friend was a long time friend (classmate) which was true. He had sent money to me (vice versa) severally in 2022. I also showed pictures of us together in 3 different occasions (in school,at my engagement and at a function) and also included his international passport. Someone in Canada even advised that I should not include him that nobody gives anyone such money in Canada, that even parents don't give their children money. But I had no other story to cook because the money had already been sent to my account. I also made sure I paid 1m into my spouse account to augment her salary for her and the children's upkeep so the VO will believe that nobody go press my neck for money in Canada. In my LOE, I also mentioned that while I would be away, there is an arrangement on ground to employ a driver that will drive my car on a FULL TIME basis with weekly remittance of #30,000 to my account and to be managed by my spouse. The weekly 30k + my monthly salary+ other annual benefits from my employer resulted to additional 3m+ (about 10k cad)
How I addressed hometie
Apart from the fact that my family (spouse and children) and job are strong home tie. I became a volunteer with Red cross society of Nigeria just for the purpose of ID card and pictures, and I got that. I also collected a letter from my church. Congratulations Bro. Seems you applied yourself. Reading about failures by Visa agents and requests for another 1,000 CAD to reapply for the visa is somehow discouraging. Can i apply for study permit myself? Can someone kindly assist me with the process. I already paid 1st semester tuition deposit. I will pay 2nd semester with form A next week. I want to commence study permit application but confused whether to use an agent (Visa agent license bY IRCC) or the admission consult team that helped me secure the admission. or do it myself. If anyone will be willing to assist me through the process, kindly indicate or send me a mail legithustlingbabe@gmail.com. |

williamswill: Good evening everyone Please I need help on how to get an admission into a canada University for msc. My aunty is ready to sponsor me but I don't know how to go about it. Just last week here, I paid and agent 200USD but the agent did not do anything for me rather the agent is asking me to pay another 500USD to apply for pgd. I don't want to use any agent anymore but do it myself. Go to Instagram and search for Skyned consult. They helped me secure my admission and the only thing i paid is $80CAD application fee. Their service is free. 1 Like 1 Share |

Allboiz:
I just got an admission into cambrian too. I think the best thing to do now is to pay directly for first semester, then use form a for other semesters This your point of paying directly for 1st semester and using Form A for the rest makes alot of sense. I am in the same boat of confusion. 1 Like |

Habeebboy: Dollar account At what rate did you get the dollar? I'm currently stuck at the point of paying tuition deposit. The duration form A takes is scary and i have no idea who can fast track it. |
