We must sha beat Everton this weekend. No sense in beating Tottenham and City, and then loose to Everton, because we can only rely on sudden moments.

No sense in it at all.
Everton would not seat back all day like those small-minded teams. This will give us ample space to exploit.

You’re just making my point for me. The default isn’t counter attack- that’s how we play big teams.

The default is trying to break down teams (that aren’t good with the ball) and we haven’t been able to find the right formula.

You’re just a daftt motherfuucker
of what use is a player with pace and little skill if it's not to counter?
Ole's priority is to counter, hence u see him adhering to pacy footballers.

Agreed. And Lekkie was wrong to assume that the default setting of OGS is counter attack. We’ve only played Chelsea this season- too little data. Despite that, I don’t think counter-attacking is the default setting.

Considering the other thing you said, we don’t have many players who are veeery good at breaking down defenses. All of them are okay in this regard, but just a few of them have that vision and skill to create goals from within a pack of bodies.

Pogba and Martial can do this and I think Gomes, Chong and Greenwood too can flourish in this setting but you can’t always start them at the moment.

Lingard, Rashford and James are counter-attack addicts.
OGS believes in counter attack. The more reason you see James playing week in week out.

Leyqute, seriously you no know ball!

Shows you didn’t watch preseason. The default tactic isn’t to soak pressure and break away in counter attacks- that’s just how we got goals against Chelsea.

Did you see the game against Inter and the last game against Kristiansund? We possessed them, probing for spaces to create goals. The match against Tottenham was also even- they’re good with the ball at their feet so the pressing was with sense. We didn’t sit back against them either.

The tactics used in a match depends on the opponent. We’ve got food counter-attacking system but we improved on breaking park-the-bus teams in preseason.

I don’t know where you guys get your stories from. undecided

a team set up to play counter attacking football does not think highly of a high pressing midfield. The earlier you guys realize that the team is set up to soak pressure and then break away to offense, the better. The only fear is that we might likely find is harder to break teams that sit back all day.

From my question above, I really would want to know from political parties members here, do our political parties have ideologies of a state or the country should be governed?

What do they use as guide to enact laws and make policies?

America for example, I only read through their ideologies before being a supporter of the republican party. Not here.

From whatever divide you support, I would like to be cleared please. Thank you
they have ideologies too.

APC is a party that believes in imposing candidates on its followers.
PDP is a party that believe in giving the richest candidate the mandate.

Definition of a useless team...
A team that concedes a goal, replied with three goals, conceded one goal again, scored another goal, went on to conceded two goals again, scored another goal, end up conceeding another goal, then goes on to lose through a penalty shootout....

If you guys think that is the best thing, you can create another fpl. However, I think you should go a few seasons back and get those who have been playing for quite a while. Some have been active on the npl thread without being active in the sports section. People like azpekuliar are not active on the European sports thread but they are active on npl threads.

Thats my own opinion.

Nairaland FPL has lost it's value. It's no longer as interesting as it's used to be. It's not by size, rather by activeness.

I advise whoever gonna be in charge next Season to reduce the Size (strictly) to active Members.

Also I wish we can form a FPL for European Football Section's Nairalanders.

you can't call it nairaland premier league and expect it to be restricted. You can't force people to be active on a thread. Instead, you should finds ways of encouraging people to banter.

This one is not about story. It's about what you see. A team that has rashford, martial and lingard starting is already tending towards a break and run tactic. If speed is the major strength a team, it is normal for such teams to deploy counter attack strategy.

See Liverpool's insane pressing. Yet they always keep a compact shape in midfield and defence. Very little holes for opponents to exploit.

Everyone knows, but how does his comment relate to the Post he quoted?! How many Betting Firms are on the List?! Combine all their Deals together, it's not close to Chevrolet Deal alone.

So how are they possibly influencing the Game?
let me just chip in some things here.
The same way it is difficult to prove the existence of heaven so it is to prove the existence of fixing matches. Stakeholders in football have diverse benefits they look forward to.
Spectators want to enjoy the game. They pay

Footballers want to make money. They are paid

Club owners want to make money. They are paid

Refereees want to make money. They are paid

Bettin companies want to make money. So they pursuade spectators to go the extra mile to gamble.

If you are yet to see the picture, then let me go a bit further...

All other stakeholders are banking on the spectators' money to keep on going. They want to get more money from spectators through gambling.

A match between mancity (1.20) vs wolves (7.30)
The bookmaker expects 95% of gamblers to go for mancity. However, the bookmakers by virtue of their stake in the game have been given just one game in 380 games to influence. They communicate with the FA that this is the game they want to use to wreck the stakers. The FA calls in a trusted executioner (professional referee) who is aware of the job at hand.

All the executioner needs to do is to discourage mancity players and encourage wolves players with the manner he goes about with the officiating. The slim chance of wolves winning in suddenly increased by his actions. At the end of the day, the spectators and stakera will yell any or a mixture of the lines below:

The referee killed the match
The referee is madt
The officiating was poor
The penalty awarded to wolves was not worth it
Mancity should have gotten two penalties
Wolves defender should have seen red
That mancity defender's tackle was not a red card offence
The wolves striker dived but referee signal led a penalty
The mancity striker was wrongly accused and booked for diving.

At the end of the day, wolves wins, the bookmakers have taken their pound of flesh for the season and mancity will be given the three points back either by:
Favoring them in a future match or
Making their rivals go through such nightmare too at a point in time within the 38 game days.

This is just to let you have a brief idea of how technically easy it is for those who are paid to swindle those who are paying by conspiring together.
