Hi guys. My sister got study permit PPR a few days ago. She plans to travel in September and will be married in a few weeks. She’ll like her husband to come along with her or join her as soon as possible. Is it recommended to apply for SOWP for him before she travels? How strict is the requirement to add study permit and proof of enrolment to the SOWP application? I’ll like to know if anyone has done something similar and how it turned out. Thanks |

Tochy31: Hi, You cannot use this sponsor. if your full tuition and living expenses have been paid into your account then you can use the sponsor. the incoming and outgoing cash will serve proof that there's a probability of money coming for your fees in the future years. please and please, your sponsor must show that they have the required amount available either in their account or it has been paid to you. 2 Likes |

Hi guys! To all those who have traveled to Canada or have the knowledge, I have a few enquiries. 1. I would love to get the contact of Olamide or anyone who can help me with securing cheap flights. 2. What advice would you give me as I prepare for my travel so that I have a hitch free settlement in Canada. Any idea you have is highly welcome. 1 Like |

I must add that my online profile was a little weird. My medical didn't indicate passed, biometrics didn't show completed(though that's common with all paper applicants now). Also, I wasn't sent an email about an update in my profile. I just logged in and saw it. 1 Share

bbclue: Loooool. The reason we ask for them to share their profile is simple. When an applicant gets approved, the profile shows us exactly how they put together their application which led to an approval. Such information can prove to be highly valuable to prospective applicants who may be in similar situations as the recently approved person. Also, when someone gets refused, sharing their profile tells you exactly what they did and when we compare that to the knowledge of approved guys we know, we can find out the missing pieces. So yeah, approved or not, we advise them to share their profile! 2 Likes |

bbclue: it has a lot to do with the end game which is for her to reapply and get the visa. knowing her profile would give suggestions on what went wrong and how best to go about it while she awaits gcms notes. And it's obviously a paper application. Only paper applicants drop their passport alongside their visa application. 5 Likes |

Frankrobbn1: I think it has changed now. Those applications are being processed in Lagos. The last time I checked as at January or so, the link said Nigerian study permits were processed in Accra now it says Lagos. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: Hello Frankrobbn1 I'm not referring to any automated email from VFS. I'm referring to the content on CIC website stating that study permits and temporary visa applications from Nigeria are processed in Lagos. Some time last year when I checked, it was being processed in Accra. Also I think the approvals from London, Nairobi and Turkey were all online applications which lead to the conclusion that online apps can be processed anywhere. Here's the link to the CIC page https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/international-visa-offices.html 1 Like |
