I feel so much PAIN going thru these pics. And reading those posts hasn't made it even better.

In as much as i undstd ur plights, i still feel it's necessary that we try our best to source for help, when we need it. If u feel offended by such posts, then don't read them anymore. But as a mother, i put myself in this baby's parents shoes. These are people who don't even have enough to feed, they're vulnerable and are in an urgent need of a miracle. Pls lets all endeavour to help in our little way cos noone knows 2mrw,

This is how I felt when I first heard the story and decided to act. I was hoping others would do same and not look for who to fault because at the end non of us are related to the Baby or parents. I an my family gets automatic help even if it's going to cos $Imillion ,  If the Nigerian government provides for it's citizens I don't think these people would be needing anybody's help

He(Kanu) had exactly same heart condition,had his surgery and decided on opening a foundation to reach out to others in same problem but can't afford the bills.Since inception,they've helped more than 50 kids with varying heart conditions.

Tell me,are you more interested in fund raising or seeing the little girl healthy? I wish i had the mom's contacts,I would have contacted her myself cos i don't understand what is going on here.

before answering all your questions did you read my first post addressing all the questions raised? Also did you read the Blog? because the question about where the girl comes from is answered there. Again I am not related to this kid's mother neither am I friends with her. Just like you all were touched by [b]Perx [/b]case and decided to do something about it so was I when my kid sister told me about it. I didn't ask for help here but on my FB. The names Efua, Ose, etc is from Edo State! I told anybody that wants to help, to do whatever they can as nobody is running any show dictating what should be done and not done. I went ahead with the info I got, so if you are touched by the story and wants to help, please do and go about it the way you know.  Please I am not interested in raising fund, but getting help to the kid Asap! Out of the 27 people that have Donated so far about 22 of them are myself, Personal Friends and family.  I have spoken to different people here (Holland) trying to see if any hospital can sponsor the baby, so if you know about the Kanu Heart Foundation and wants to help you can go after that angle just as I am doing here. If you need money for your phone calls, lemme know and I will fill your phone with my personal money,  All I am saying is I am doing what I can/know and if there are others that knows better, they should also do same, as whatever we are all doing is because of GOD and not any Individual,   There is somebody I helped at a very crucial time in her life and she is supposed to be close to Kanu himself, you would think this person would help, but she pretends she didn't see my message, till she needs my help again. If you want to contact me you can do so via face book (Otunba Khamileon) or the blog. I would hope you meet me on FB and know the type of person I am so this insinuation that I am more interested in raising funds would stop,  If you are part of the Nairaland E-team you would recall I wrote a long detailed mail about how to help her, I demanded for her personal contact so I can send my people to go see her there in person, so that is the type of person I am. I dont need to know a person before rendering help to them.

Thers something about this post, this guy replyin, everything screams 'scammer' at me. One of the problems some of you people face is jumping into an issue without fully understanding what the issue is about. Did you even read my post before commenting? Because if you did you will see or noticed that I came out in the open telling everybody who I am. And you are very free to Contact me and I will pay for your call. Half of the money Donated so far are from my friends, relations and family members so what scam are you talking about? I asked people from my FB account to help and somebody else brought it here, I feel obliged to answer some questions that's why I am doing so. Though I just had a rude shock to hear of the passing of PERX that was operated in Nigeria, I have been so sad and now am so skeptical about Nigeria that it's not funny, Anyway I wont Personally be making any decision on where Baby Gracious will be operated as far as Nigeria is concerned unless the mother does, I would rather follow her Doctor's diagnoses and hope for a Europe surgery, etc

I am not only shocked but truly saddened by her death. The love and generosity shown by Nairalanders to Perx is so commendable and a true source of inspiration to others. May God bless every one of you. I am just so sad that I don't know what to really do or say anymore, I have chills all over my body. Before we start rushing to raise funds, we need to identify some key points.

1) This surgery is routinely performed at the UNTH in Enugu. They have a solid reputation and I am not sure it will cost up to N750,000 in that hospital.

2) I would suggest that someone makes contact with the medical team in charge of heart operations there, with the complete medical history and then the total cost of the operation will be known. We can then proceed from there.

I am saying this because in this country, we have become so obsessed with medical treatment abroad that it has gone to levels of complete stupidity when there are very competent doctors here.

THIS OPERATION CAN BE DONE RIGHT HERE IN NIGERIA. I am saying this because I know 2 families whose children had a hole in the heart and they were fixed in UNTH. Those children are very healthy and are now teenagers!

Let us use our common sense and reduce the cost of this surgery for the family. It will be easier to raise money for that surgery in Nigeria than to start looking for N2million for the child to travel to India with all the logistical issues to be raised.

If not please do and lets take it from there, Like I said on my post I dont reside in Naija and the Baby's mother cant do much for various reasons, So if you are sure about the Surgery in Enugu for less than a million naira, there the baby might get help faster that it is now, Can you find out more about the Enugu Hospital? Dear Nairaland, I read your comments, worries, and suggestions and this is my reply to you all. Generally everybody on this site wants to remain anonymous and though I am bit known where I stay, but personally I am a very very private person. I keep my personal life out of the public as much as I can but if going against that will amount to saving this precious baby, then I consider it a little price to pay so here it is. The Mother of Baby Gracious (Faith) is someone my kid sister knows. My kid sister alert me after she visited her a couple of weeks ago about her present condition. And I was shocked to the bone that the Baby was sent home because the Doctor couldn't do anything more especially since the mother (Faith) has spent her last penny on the child. So all she does is cry, pray and fast. I asked why it took so long to be informed because if I had known about this when it occured maybe the Baby would be well by now, but my kid sister said she has not been in contact with Faith for a long time till she paid a surprise visit to her, With her condition she couldn't even blame her (Faith) for not contacting her all these while.

Hearing this, I would have personally paid the entire money for the surgery but my business venture had a very heavy set back, still I could just not sit back and watch this baby die without giving it a shot, so a Blog was opened to get the public involved. Since there are thousands of Nigerians on lots of Social networks, Facebook and the lots we decided that if each could give $2 2pounds, 2Euros or 2naira this baby would get a quick treatment,  But as with everything that has to do with money, the response has been tickling in very slowly. So far about 20 people have Donated from Abroad While 7 people have donated from Nigeria,  More than 70% of people that have Donated so far all did it because they know me via Facebook or are friends on FB because the issue of trust comes to play here. I have Concentrated heavily on FB to raise awareness for this Baby.  People like Linda Ikeji also helped by putting it on her blog and others did the same

I don't reside in Nigeria so everything I am doing is from Europe where I reside. So if anybody in Nigeria knows about this Kanu's Heart Foundation and if it's true that they can help, can somebody please contact me and lets see how to go about it,  But I have to be sure the surgery can be done there because while I want to raise money for this baby, I don't want to be responsible in sending her to just any doctor, because I would think the Nigerian Doctors that Diagnosed this Baby would have suggested KHF instead of a trip to Indian. And to others, there is absolutely nothing wrong coming to a Nigerian site to solicit for help for a Nigerian Baby! Of cause it is not the job of Nigerians to be responsible for the health care bills of their neighbor, but since the Nigeria Government is not doing it's job, I guess kindhearted people fill obliged to help. You will only fill guilty if you can help but refuse to. I am a kindhearted person by nature and have helped so many people in my life, that is how I was made but I don't force others or demands for others to be like me.

Finally for those suggesting Miracle, I also believe that Doctors treating and curing people are also doing Miracles by the knowledge they receive from God. Also the mother (Faith) might not even have one red cent to travel to Lagos from her home Benin, whatever little money she receives (Apart from Donations for her Baby's surgery) she uses to feed her other child because Gracious was born a twin her other sister is healthy. Forgiveness is not negotiable, it is a MUST!  Forgiveness is not for the offender but for the offended so tell the person that the longer it takes for her to deal with this the more hurt she will be feeling. Let her forgive and let go and see if she wont get pregnant. About telling her husband, she was supposed to do that before getting married to him. What purpose would it serve now?  Please tell her to deal with the hurt of 5yrs now and concentrate on living a better and happy life with her husband. Forgiving the guy would be like a sacrifice offered to GOD  (that's if she believes) then ask God to bless her with fruits of the womb. This doesn't mean she and her husband shouldn't visit their doctor to make sure there is nothing physically preventing them from having kids, Once that part is done and they get the pass mark from the Doctor, she should apply my suggestion and see the power of forgiveness at work.

you are not alone on this, Cos so many  Pastors are nothing but business men using the Bible to fleece their congregation dry. Yes you can have your own "CHURCH" at home, When 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name I will be there.(Scripture) As long as you are not alone, you are fine. So home Bible study with friends or family is Church. The building has never been the church but the people. Dont allow anyone tell or try to teach you what's not in your Bible, Bless.

I feel you but I have this to say. You the Youths have given the leaders weapons to enslave you forever by not UNITING. The leaders knows this and you know it too, but they also know you don't have the POWER & DISCIPLINE to effect any true Change like the Arabs you just mentioned and they will capitalize on that forever. It will take just one wrong word from an Hausa or Yoruba person and you are back to where you were before. I mean if you can spend so much time and energy to fight with INVISIBLE people (On the net) that it starts affecting you in real life, it tells a whole lot about you and where your priority lies doesn't it? Another thing you have to know is this. The Hausa's know that IBO & YORUBA would never ever agree and this always gives them a upper hand. Now having said all this, why is it so important to you where the next president comes from? Do you truly believe deep in your heart that it will affect the lives of you and your family positively? Anyway Nigerians, like must humans on earth love money so they will flock and worship anybody that promise to teach them how to get that money in a Flash! Heck! First you must understand that JW are very nice people that are well versed in their scripture. I too was like you so many year ago and wanted to join them because they preach what you can understand and they teach very well so before join I took my time and researched them. Using GOOGLE I traced their history from their founder, etc. At the end though I like, admire and respect them but I could not join them because. They re-wrote the BIBLE (New Wold Translation) to suit their doctrines. The reason they are not accepted is because they are not viewed as Christians. They don't believe in basic Christian Truths like
1. Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Ghost)
2. Holy Ghost is not a person to them, but an Active Force
3. Jesus Christ is a created begin
The list goes on. So if you must join them, then you must give up your own Bible and use NEW WORLD TRANSLATION and once you Google how and who translated their version it tells you a lot about JW, Another thing about them is their constantly predicting the end of the world and getting it wrong. They have so many of these lil things going and that is while they are not accepted as Christians, But like I said they are very nice people that wont go about stealing peoples money like most Pastors do today and they are very well versed in their Scripture,  May God direct you to the right part. The rate at which so many Nigerians are insulting President Goodluck Jonathan of resent is no longer funny. Barely a year in office the man has received every type of insult and it's not stopping, but the strange thing about this, is these insults are coming from most of the people that said "PRESIDENT JONATHAN IS GOD SENT"  My question to these people is are you not afraid of insulting a man ordained by God to lead? During the election Campaign so many came out in large numbers saying they were not voting for PDP, but for Goodluck Jonathan. Nollywood was not left out as virtually every known star came out to support President Jonathan,  So many different versions of music and Video clips were made praising GEJ, even Veterans like "Onyenka Owenu" made a beautiful song urging President Jonathan to go ahead. Now it's not even a year and a lot of those that voted for him are now regretting it. The proposed removal of "Fuel Subsidy" spell untold hardship for ordinary Nigerians as if the people have not suffered enough. But then it is a choice Nigerans made and they must live with that choice for another 3yrs

Nigerians had the choice of picking between Ribadu(Acn) Buhari(Cpc) Jonathan(Pdp) The track records of these three men are known to Nigerians. As the EFCC boss people felt Ribadu's impact on the fight against corruption. (Which is still Nigeria's Biggest Problem) He was the first to touch (arrest) the untouchables, he even arrested his own boss. Buhari's track record as someone who is not corrupt is there for all to see. He is about the only ex head of state without landed properties and houses in Abuja. Despite being in charge of the petroleum trust fund, the man doesnt have an oil filed like his colleagues, he lives a very simple life but Nigerians rejected these two men and choose a Christian man that seems very quiet because they all believed he is Ordained by God.

Personally I Campaigned for Buhari vigorously because I believed in the man. I believe he is a very sincere man that wish Nigeria good. He walks around freely because he has no skeleton in his cupboard. He is about the only ex head of state in Nigeria that has never been accused of stealing a kobo. And now he has decleared that there is no such thing as "Fuel Subsidy" He said what they are calling "Subsidy" is actually corruption and ways to steal more money. He challenged the person in charge to come and explain this thing called "Fuel Subsidy" that would bring so much hardship to the ordinary Nigerians. Having said all these, do I now begin to weep for Nigeria because of the coming hardship the PDP led Government has in store for Nigerians? No I wont! But I will definitely take Nigerians for their words that the current president is God sent and so they should be patient and expect a Miracle! So insulting a man (President Jonathan) you proclaim was sent by God can delay or stop your Miracle. Be warned! By the way I am a Christian but I was raised never to allow Religion or tribe bias my views on issues. So my dear Nairalanders insulting President GEJ on the web wont move Nigeria forward especially to those that VOTED for him and believe  HE IS GOD SENT.
