See I reside in the WEST like lots of people here on NL and have been here most of my life, so while I can understand some Westerners saying they dont believe in GOD, I personally find it difficult to believe there are true Nigerian Atheist because strange powers, occurrence that so many has personally witnessed...There are Dark powers, There are daily Ritual Killings...etc Also I have traveled to so many countries in the world and it baffles me to see people actually saying there is no GOD, truth is people are Lazy or just dont want to bother.. If you visit Indian, spend sometime there with their Mystics, Yogis, Sharma, you will understand that you can spend 10 life times on earth and still dont know anything about the world we live in... I have watched countless documentaries on these subjects and what i found out is, Western Scientist dont even wanna venture or Bother with these Indian mystics because they loose themselves and all their scientific stuff when faced with the reality of these guys.. What I believe is this, we have different types of what you would call Science.. 1.Eastern Science (Mystics, Yogis, Astral Travel..etc) 1. African Science (Powers, Ifa Divination? people who could take live bullets..etc) 3.Western Science (Which they teach in school) and this western science wants to be seen as the True and only Science... this is a big fraud and lie. Now like I said I have watched some of them with the Indian mystics on discovery Channel and I see them get completely lost.. I have sat down with people that came from Africa on foot, crossing the Sahara desert on foot with no maps, how do you think that is even possible? Maybe you should sit down and talk with them if you ever have the opportunity.... They will tell you how the Illiterate Mali or Gambia guys taking the across.the deserts without any maps. When they get lost in the desert which happens a lot of times, these guys brings out their beads..etc and starts chanting incantation, burning little fire and allow the direction of the smoke guide them... And this is how they cross the vast desert, such stuff should be filmed and documented ... sit with these people that have truly experienced the deep mysteries of life and tell them that you know for a fact that there is no GOD! Finally, Knowing, Meeting and Experiencing GOD is PERSONAL so nobody on earth has the right to call another a fool for believing because you do not know my experience just as I dont know yours. Let us all live with our individual experiences (while keeping our mind open without bias and be ready to learn) and live at peace with each other, someday we will all die and find out... But if the guy knew that he would hit another car on the road and pay a very heavy fine, he would have taken a car Insurance.. To some, believe in God, is a life Insurance... If he dies and find out there is no God, he loses nothing as believe in God cost nothing other than to love and treat your fellow man right.. Mindependent: I am very attracted to guys that are very er...dominant and in a way, bad. Say, abusive, treat you like a posession, jealous, aggressive- IN and OUT the bedroom.

I have been in an abusive relationship and even though I know its wrong and dangerous, It used to excite me when I was threatened or attacked.

I know its really bad, but its the only thing that seems to excite me, like if a guy i like just grabs my wrists or pulls/pushes me against something or tells me what to do it really turns me on (outside the bedroom).

I also have dreams where Im my partners posession and he has full control of my life.

I get really bored of 'normal' guys if they dont seem to have this controlling/possessive streak. I dont know how to break the cycle and its hard to seek out these sorts of guys as its not really something you admit is it.

Where I reside, they don't call Catholics Christians, of cause I was angry and shocked when I first heard that and took my time to explain that Catholics are also Christians, cos they normally ask, Are you a Christian, Muslim or Catholic? Anyway been born and raised a Catholic, when I got here many years ago, I took my time to read and research the Catholic church and found out why they are not called Christians... I had to even read my lil Red Catechism book again ..lol As a grown up now, once you read it again, Y'd be surprised at all the un-biblical things you will find there. While I don't attend the Catholic Church anymore... I still walk into huge empty Catholic church here to sit down, meditate and have quiet time.. I love the feeling of peace I get when I go there. Personally to me Catholicism is like a Cult that you cant fully leave even when you know that a lot of the practice are pagan and has nothing to do with God... But you miss the Latin, Mass, Songs, Eucharist, Sweet Smelling Incense...etc There is really nothing anybody can tell or teach me about Catholicism cos I might actually know more.. cos i spent good time studying... I have Priest as friends and we discuss... You might be surprised, what some of them truly believes. To end this, The Catholic Church will play a big Role towards the end of time, its all there in the bok of revelation and it's gradually falling into place. The bill ran into millions. A guy brought the story to nld. People brought in different suggestions, opinions and there were clashes due to presentation of ideas and broken communication lines.

The OP was initially more interested in raising funds or rather felt that asking for donations was the only way out. Each second is precious,the little girls life was in hanging. Some of us suggested he try NGOs as oppossed to looking for donations. Some suggested they changed hospitals.

At the end of the day, he contacted one of the NGOs that someone mentioned on the thread and voila, the baby had a successful operation in France without paying a kobo.
Let us not assume that sourcing for donations is the only way out. Every second counts for Emmanuel.

Meaning Nigeria can survive without Oil, depending on if we have visionary leaders.. If the Oil wells dries up, they will have no option than to sit tight and face agriculture... The economy of Malaysia was jumped started with Palm produced they got from Nigeria.. So our leaders are just lazy, but that doesn't mean without Oil the country will die. When you say " ALL THESE COMPANIES ARE VULTURES FEEDING ON THE DEAD" you put the whole Nigerian population including yourself as stupid and only the Foreigners are wise" Yet from that same Stupid people comes Africans Richest man.... Did you watch Obama's speech? Because he wants people to come and invest in America, you also can go and invest there if you have the money as long as you play by the rules so I dont know where you get your theories that Investors are Vultures... Did you even know how much MTN paid the Nigerian government to be there? Yet you have Glo..etc meaning you are very free to ditch MTN.. there are so many alternatives that you dont have to stick with any one you dont like, I could go on.. but sitting and painting an apocaliptic theory about Foreign investors just dont cut it.. You dont have to patronize your percieved Vultures... Martin Luther King and co trekked many miles and boycotted public transport because they want changes which they finally got, so if you see a problem Fix it! I thought MTN was a foreign company (SA) and also not an oil company? Pls correct me cos I dont reside there... Also I might suggest you discuss or debate instead of arguing in a public forum. It's obvious you are angry at Foreigners investing in Nigeria because you see them as exploiters, but before you do business in any country, Nigeria included you are guided by Laws, and you sign papers to adhere to these laws and if you see the companies breaking these laws you can either report them or stop using their services are a sign of protest. When Ken Saro Wiwa was Killed, I stopped buying Fuel from Shell that is seconds from my house.. Some Nigerians here laughed at me asking how that would affect Shell...
