TLAX: The Brewery Sector has faced significant challenges in recent times caused by increased excise tax, changing consumer preferences and lower disposable income. Nevertheless for the following...
International Breweries - Battered from all sides in the last 18 months or so, the price appears to be at consolidation stage at its long term support level. I advice investors to have this on their watchlists. There remains a very small probability prices could drop to sub N4, otherwise it will range at current price levels into Q3. A number of interesting things to watch out for is return to marginal profitability by Q3 20 as debt service commitments drops materially after successful rights issue. Debt/Equity ratio moved from 2.24 in January 2018 to 6.18 in December 2018 to 35.32 in December 2019. It now stands at 0.65 as of March 2020 which is not ideal but a great improvement from past periods. Rights issue effect was applied 100% to reduce debt. Revenue is not challenged but the company will need to focus on operational efficiency to make headway. Attention is being paid to this with wholesale change in management between late 2019 to now. Finally, they need to figure out how to stay out of NBs way. Have this on your watchlist but this is not an advice to jump in now. Strictly not for JIJO folks as there is no room to maneuver here.
Champion Breweries - Fundamentals are okay with ready made market. Not recommended for long term holding. For Jijoist, if you can, jump in at 0.75k - 0.78k and plan to exit at 0.99k - N1.00 range. I believe these price ranges are all possible before year end. Another approach is to look at that 99k exit price and pick you entry based on returns preference.
Guinness - This can get to 28.49 in next few months if not weeks if market divergence from overall economy trend continues.
Remember, do your diligence or get alternative opinions on these companies and their likely price actions before taking any action yourself. Thanks. Please has Guinness release q1 financial report 2020? |

If you couldn't predict the movement of Bitcoins correctly be careful in saying Zenith will come down to N11. Take it easy on the guy. |

Family › Re: My Husband's Family Is Sucking Him Dry by leo1234(m): 2:50pm On May 19, 2020 |
bukatyne: Instead of telling your husband to stop 'spending on his family', point him to projects he can spend money on.
E.g. 'My friend said there is one cheap land at Igbo Tutu' or 'how I wish we had our house, we wouldn't be bothered about Baba Mulika asking for rent every year' or 'there is one mutual funds that the entry is N200k and you get 15% returns per year. We can be paying Junior's fees from the interest'. You can also bring up investment for your kids etc.
You know what works with your husband so explore that. Also appreciate him for what he does so far.
@buying your land: I am not a fan of spouses buying stuffs behind each other so I will say deposit the money in mutual benefit/Chapel Hill/Piggybank for now while you try to make him see reason. I particularly don't like the fact you want only your name on the land; recipe for disaster as your husband is not hiding his own funds; he is just not spending it wisely.
Please which mutual fund pays 15% per year?
You should also understand where your husband is coming from: in some cultures, the 'worth' of the first son/husband of the first daughter is their ability to fund everyone's lifestyle without complaint while their own immediate family suffers.
It is a recurring theme so you re-orientate him in love and harmony to see that his family can and will survive without his handouts.
Also note that if he goes 360 and stops funding his siblings, it can cause problems for you'all. Please which mutual fund pays 15% per year ? |

emmanuelewumi: The problem is with sincerity on the part of management. Don't trust a greedy management
I think we should all be in this together, but in a situation where management stopped dividends or reduced dividends by about 90%, but they increased their own salaries by over 200%.
That is a red flag, and such management should not be trusted. Cautious optimism is expected from companies managed by such selfish managers You are on point. Thank you sir. |

freeman67: Good day house,
Please if anyone here have a soft copy of the recent stamp duty act I will appreciate if he/she can help me with it. My bank keep charging for stamp duty on deposits I made to my account by myself. From the excerpts I have read it should not be that way but they keep doing it. This time I am determined to stop them and possibly ask for a refund. So I will need to have a full picture before I go into the battle with them. Its not funny paying 50 naira for every deposit made into your savings account. |
