RomanceRe: Society Isn’t Ready For Men To Show All Emotions-Samuel Otigba by Leoniine(f): 1:51pm On Nov 12, 2019
You're not making any sense. And you're making less and less of it as this drag on.

Lilbest3:
the boys falling behind in education is as a result of bias against men. The attempt to reduce the number of men that will get degree and subsequently be in the position of power coupled with ingrained hatred for white boys by the leftist teachers who are in charge of those classes.
Where are the anti-male bills you talked about?

This is bigger than the Left and Right political wings.

And certainly dwarfs your reality, subjective perception.

Like, the Leftist teachers - how many are they? - are responsible for illiteracy/lack of education/low academic performance in boys? And white boys?

You're funny. And so not smart.

I told you already that patriarchy was more gynocentric than oppressive, you disagreed then agreed when I brought up the police intervention why don't you quit the mental gymnastics and accept the fact that men never oppressed women but rather did everything to protect and provide for them?
Oppressiveness masked by 'gynocentrism.' Because a woman is believed to be lesser, lacking, then she'll automatically get excluded from doing and being things. How can you explain these acts against women being gynocentric: rape (war and marital ones included), honor killings, domestic and dowry violence, child and forced marriage, prostitution, abortion; sex-selective abortion/son preference, acid throwing, sexual harrassment, witchcraft accusations, burning of widows, breast ironing, female infanticide and sooo many more of various forms of violence? Biases that permeate the social world?

In Prison sentencing there's no need for any background and events leading to crime for women to get lesser prison sentence, that's how it is. Women get sentence to 3 times lesser prison time than men for committing the exact same crime the reason is mainly because of how short your reproductive span is which still point to protecting you even when you commit crimes so what is this great oppression you are talking about?
No, you cannot do that. You cannot brush findings, researches away just like that. There are reasons that logically and greatly influences prison sentencing. A previously convicted person being tried again will get a harsher sentence compared to one who's being tried for the first time. Men commit the most violent crimes. Very 'huge' ones like murder, etc. Female offenders are usually MENTALLY UNSTABLE compared to men. They most likely are in an abusive relationship, just got out of one or killed in self-defense. Women are single mothers. Men are unburdened. So on.

We are not equal socially, economically and mentally.
But we are humans. I'm okay with that. And all deserve fair treatment and access to opportunity. That will enhance our different capabilities. Bring the best productivity.

Equality is a lie told to lesser people to make them feel better about themselves. Do you think Linda ikeji wants to be equal with me? There are places and people that will feel honoured to have Linda Ikeji, Adichie, Iweala, dj cuppy in their homes but will tell me to get the fúck out of their street.
This is pathetic. And a glimpse into your mental workings. Lesser humans. There are lesser humans and higher humans, to you? Why should hatred, injustice and other negative things towards humans not be prevalent? I am a Christian, so I'm good. A Muslim is bad and does not deserve my love, to be treated well.

Maybe you should use a male Linda Ikeji to compare. Yes, you aren't as influential as those women are, but does that make you less of a human? Should you be discriminated against and not be allowed to produce something great, too? Be given the 'tools?' Contest in elections so you'll be appointed to head banks and become a prominent political figure?

Don't let anyone deceive you we are not equal.
Equality is myth, a social lie to stop people from committing suicide.
You're dumb. So dumb. I've had enough of this. Lie to prevent people from committing suicide?

Don't even speak on that issue. Don't cook up any sick assumptions to explain depression.

On the other hand, your message and life motto is – people are not equal, so go fucking kill yourself. No body cares. You're a nobody. Mmkay.

So you think your father kept your mother as a sex slave and reproductory machine?
No, actually, your father breed your mother with his sperm to produce female objects that'll become other families' properties. smiley

Lol that was not the majority of the cases. Maybe just an individual corruption
lol. Riiiiight. Glad we're back to considering majority cases. 'Changing mouth' and denying the arrangement of things in the past - when that was all you've been spouting. Was sex not mainly a procreation act, to birth more males to fight and work? Were men not out and women home?

It's very hilarious, really, that you're not even citing the Western world as example to prove your 'women and men are equal' point. But you're using Nigeria of all places. Is Nigeria the whole world? And do you know we have the highest number of child brides in the world? FGM still happens in the North?

I call that you not seeing beyond your small mind, world and community.

Focusing on the minute issue.

You said you believe in equal opportunities, but not equality of results - now you're saying otherwise. My question was: does equal opportunities exists, for all people?

Not how impossible it is to achieve. And not what the oppressed people will face when fighting for equality. Look at where we are as humans, as a black race. Would you be here if people in the past didn't fight? They were killed, jailed, treated inhumanly...but should that enough reason to prevent people from fighting for their rights?

No one said it's going to be a perfect job, finished in a day.

And no one said to employ a woman when she isn't qualified. In fact, that's not the problem. The reverse is. Women aren't employed, are seen in a way, etc just because they are women. No one looks at capability, mental strength, services being offered, and so on in her.

You never answered how equality with men in unhealthy for a society.

And I still say, much more women than most, are not supporting the movement. Those far outnumbers the ones influenced by feminists' views.

Right. So, a personal opinion about how Western men are not marrying their counterparts. Okay.

Then address those women. Women who you say don't want to work but want to enjoy benefits. Want things handed to them on a platter. Don't bring feminism into it. And you see you just supported 'feminine' women not doing things, but getting a man to do it for them. Holding two contrasting views at the same time?

"Mom, it's okay. Everything's fine. We are all good. We're ad-grown and can take care of ourselves," Ade said to her Mom.

Mrs Omowunmi chuckled in return, clucked her tongue and shook her head. She brushed her daughter's comment aside and breezed around the airy room bent on her inspection.

Maeve and Ade indistinctly got familiarized, subconsciously and physically drawing to each other. Like the pull of magnets' like ends. Ife was out of the 'unregistered' cult, and Ade's little sister began her own tour of the room - detaching from her big sister, in tentative steps, her neck spinning round and around, left, right, raised high in awe, at delicate objects in the room. Love seats and a sofa, chest of drawers.

The young girl had an impressionable mind, her path in life seeming to be tailored after Ade's, but not exactly in the dancing world. Ayoola was out of touch with her directions and didn't regain senses 'till she climbed over a mound, followed by a deep hiss and she was sent tumbling backwards, almost falling on her butt.

"Sorrr–" she cried in realization of stepping onto someone's foot in a shaky voice and snapped her head up. Her look was met with the depthfully, soulless - red-rimmed - eyes of Ife, piercing to her soul. She recoiled like a snail to its shell, sticking to her Mom's leg once again.

Hideous you.

How great.

Ifelayo's mental chords strung.

Many minutes later, after the welcomes and being acclimated to Ade's new living quarters, her friends—including the oddly independent one, and much series of pep talks, counsels of "remembering the home you came from" and such, Mrs Omowunmi left. Bearing heavy hearts. And superficial energies of two growing teenagers. Nevermind Ife's, as she's eternally never having - bereft externally and internally.

The girls stood aimless, rigid for a while. Mind going through a mechanical blockage, and restarting to pushing out fresh energies and desires.

Adunade turned to Maeve, fist jacked in a jacket's pocket. "We have classes? I guess?"

"Yeah," Meave replied her, her enthusiasm flickering. She gestured her fleshy arms to the back of the room where she'd constructed a makeshift vanity. Make-up tools and products, fragrance boxes littered her space. "I was just getting ready."

"Oh. . .cool." Ade blinked, shocked a bit and back to being composed at the flashy diva persona. She wondered if Maeve was on scholarship. She tucked the train of thought away, and said, "Let me get my books." She spotted her bed in an instant, the one next to Maeve's. And it was totally not because of her new roomie was she choosing it. The bed had a white pillow with a red heart embroidery. The sheets were red, too, and dazzled with minuscule greenery designs. A love and emotions person she was, who will choose brightness over grey any day. She adored things giving lively vibes off. Settling in will be for the evening, she thought, as she'd enrolled late, having just enough time to prepare her papers and belongings, cut of pre-existing ties, and burn things that needed to. Yes, for all her sensitivity and affinity for glowing ambience, she shied away from relationship issues and acknowledging them was rather difficult. But, no one knew that. Not that anyone needed to, since they all perceived her to be logical, capable, and motivating which'll make a great other half, sometimes. It's all good that way, and she liked it.

Ife had slipped out before the latter duo, circumventing Rosenberg's plan to get them trio to wearing matching outfits. Because why not? Mae lived for groups and thrived in gatherings, and anything to dominate whatever social circle she found herself in was approved. She cautioned her wildness occasionally to be overt not too much, lest her cover burst.

She and Adunade were side by side already in the constricted hallways of Pearly Heights students' dorms. They all clashed and bumped into other enrollees, from different walks of life, swarming like locusts, and dripping out from thousand doors consecutively in the sixteen-storey building.

It was a small continent.

The biggest arts school in Lagos State, and among the top five in Africa.

The music students, especially, unabashedly but unintentionally hit their instruments on faces, causing paint brushes, spiral bound notepads and gadgets to tumble down, somersaulting on banisters at each floor. The acting students experienced no easier, too, hefting and dragging along suitcases of costume.

But they were all very happy. Each Pearl Heighter specialized in a talent department. Their veins ticked and chests rumbled, multiplied by the city feels. It's exhaust, fuel, stress, traffic. Shining lights and bustles. It was the heartbeat of any metropolitan and cosmopolite town. The adrenaline, ever supplied, do not wear them out but did the opposite instead. It was an addiction, that intensified negative effects the more- commuting between sky-rising blocks with sixty-plus panes arranged steeply and in steps, reflecting the panorama, sun and imposing structures across the highway.

lilwetdick:
i dont believe in the equality of the sexes, both men and women are different, we think differently and act differently, if you say both men and women are equal then it means both are design by nature to do similar stuff which is not true
Check my response above for what equality of the sexes mean.

i believe in equal opportunity but to be realistic, equal opportunity does not bring equal result, even among men equal opportunity does not result to equal outcomes, so i think women need to rethink what they want, if they want equality with men, then that is behaving like men which basically is unhealthy for society.
Great. So is there equal opportunities available? For all people and all races? Don't judge by the western world alone.

How is equality with men unhealthy for the society?

many women are being harmed by the feminist movement, it makes women more masculine, we can also see that even in many western countries, the men are no more getting married to their women, they prefer to go to asia or eastern europe where they believe the women are feminine, even in the work place and the society, many men avoid this type of women because of their toxic opinion, this basically has lead to less mentorship which resulted to their lack of career progression.
You know non-feminists in America outnumber feminists there? Yes. In America, the movement do not resonate with so many women! Even amongst celebrities. Don't let the media distort things for you. How many men are these exactly that are going to Asian countries to look for wives? 80%? 70%? 59%?

No qualms, really. Your submissive women abound. Or you're saying 100% of women are feminists? So, what's the ish? Again with speaking on the lives of women. Wow. So you know how many guys ask a feminist out? How many male acquaintances and friends she's got? undecided

Because men and women are not, and can not be equal.
Equality, not homogeneity!

Equality means: having the same rights, social standing/status, opportunities, same treatment, consideration as a HUMAN, fairness, justice and so on and so forth. You can consult a dictionary for more definitions, or simple research the word, its usage especially in a liberal, progressive and democratic system. Don't apply an academic or literal meaning to it, considering the subject of discussion here. You have to look at things holistically and within context.

When I talk equality (racial, class, sexes, etc) what I meant is what I typed up there. I am not saying you should start breastfeeding and wearing tampons as a man! That's a silly argument dumb people bring up against feminism.

Let me ask you: if a white man should come here, should you treat him in a discriminatory manner or kill him? Just because he's white?

Feminism makes women overly combative, competitive, confrontational, jaded, and masculine.
That's the point. Simply consider the Xenophobic acts going on in SA and look at Nigerians reactions. All you listed up there are not farfetched and shouldn't be surprising when when you think of all women have been through for, are still going through. A bitter, angry feminist is a normal one. The most logical, and coolheaded. Like, how did you think women got here? All your mom, sisters and future daughters
are enjoying and will still enjoy, how do think those privileges were gotten? Through submission and being tongue tied and soft spoken? Hell no. How else can you make a person start seeing themself as a human, to become more and to shun societal expectations?

You are seeing those qualities in a negative light, but when you examine cases of oppression through history (e.g slavery) you'll find that such behaviors were perfectly okay and needed. It's the same with dismantling patriarchy (note, I did not say leadership, hierarchy, strength, being emotionally healthy and all other great attributes.)

It kills their femininity and common sense, while giving a false sense of enlightenment, which in turn, makes men less motivated to protect and provide.
Okay, I find it reaching that you're making a direct comment on women's personal lives here. It kills femininity and common sense? What's femininity? Most Nigerian girls are not feminists, will you call them feminine?

Common sense, hmm, look at the average girls again.

In short, you just need to see feminists lives to know if what you wrote up there is true or not.
First of all, are you just a money-making machine and a sperm donor? Are you a robot, incapable of feeling? Because, as far as we all know, protecting and providing for a woman centers around that. Are you saying men will be completely useless without having a woman to give money and be a lord over? There are other layers to you, c'mon! Patriarchy, simply is, male's domination. And it became a lot of things. Feminism is not saying men should stop building, working or using their strengths. The world is going global and advancing technologically.
Stop trying to squeeze in a Middle or Dark Age, whatever system in an Information Age.

The ongoing destruction of matrimony, and the rise of mgtow are a direct result of feminism.
1) Feminists get married.

2) Do you know for sure that it is feminists marriages that are breaking?

3) And do you know that the majority of people who get married are feminists?

Direct result you say? Wow! So, where does lack of communication, incompatibility, immaturity, money, sexual problems, infidelity, etc etc comes in? Like, you have a data which shows that feminism is destroying marriages? How many people are feminists in the third world nations?

Feminism ignores biology, evolution, science
Which feminism is this? Feminism is manifest largely in the SOCIAL world. It revolves around social constructs, expectations, mental conditioning (absolutely DUE to environment and upbringing and not influenced by XY chromosomes or the brain). You can cry, laugh, cook, feel butterflies, smile - just like a woman - and we are equal in that aspect. If you're different from a woman, then you should probably be a wood. And I, likewise, can be unemotional, manipulative, domineering, logical, etc just like the stereotypical man. I am capable of it (and yes, I know many women are not that way, i.e, they are whining, irrational, but WHY? Is it because that's how their brains in their 'pure' self are?). So if you raise your girl to think logically, that she can't get things with her body or get away with things because she's a woman, play video games and other mind-stimulating games, read books instead of playing bride with barbie dolls, looking to marriage and a man as an escape, ends or the means to it, be sexually free and sooo on, maybe the misconceptions attributed to a woman, things you think are natural will disappear. Vice-versa for a boy. If you raise him to be feminine, do motherly stuff and play with dolls, fashion stuff, maybe they wouldn't grow up to be committing suicide and developing health problems - all to be a man.

and all of the feminist discourse so far, especially academically, to gain momentum is largely untrue,
So rape, FGM, child marriage, acid throwing, female infanticide are all untrue? If these do not match the definition of oppression, what are they then? [Deal with the facts, I know *I* am not experiencing these ones.]

which have instilled rage and hate in women, towards men, and also deceived them to believe in the nonsensicals, such as the patriarchy and constitutive oppression. Its hypocritical, and turning men against women (as evidenced on this thread alone). If men drop their traditional roles, just as women have drop theirs, society will collapse. Third wave feminism is cancer.
Don't I just love this. If patriarchy is a myth, then who built "civilization" in time past? Who invented things and conquered the natural world for both men and women to be safe in? Were women leading or cooking and making babies? Witch and widows burning were not oppressive?

So, you think I'm turning against you just by opposing your views and speaking in favour of feminism? Is this not a natural thing? Debating? You see it in all spheres of life.

Which trad roles again? Infact, what are the building blocks of a society? What makes a society a society? How is it linked to men's roles? If I recall, you once mentioned women now doing the work of both men and women (at home and at office), but men so far have remained in their traditional roles.

And again, don't you still talk or complain (when arguing in favour of red pill) that women are naturally this or that? Wanting a man for so many things all because she's born with a vagina and never do anything? I don't get, which women now, are dropping their roles?
