Assuming you put 1 in the Volume field for EU buy and market moves from 1.3110 to 1.3210 it's 100 pips movement in Forex and profit is $100 but if you execute same volume for gold buy and market moves from 1707.10 to 1708.10 it's 100 pips movement and profit is still $100.The only visible difference is that while Forex is highly leveraged for example 500:1, gold is lowly leveraged like 50:1

Kirinwa: With a deep sense of humility I will try to explain according to my own understanding.First of all I use instaforex. I try to catch a trend early.I use all time frames to guage the direction.My stoploss is usually 300 pips, target is 500pips.If I have any reason to suspect a reversal. I exit my trade. It goes like this I enter a buy at 1707.00 Stoploss is 1704.00 and target will be 1712.00 Good!!Gold moves in 10 pips movement just like Forex moves in 1 pips movement.Feel free to ask more questions.

bros, like i said earlier no offense intended, pls put me tru this, if u are to calculate a stop loss of 20 pips will it be dat 20 or 200 considering decimal point, or lets say u want to trail ur profit by 20 pips. advice me based on ur broker.

pls mate i dont understand this ur 500 or 400 pips, i trade gold as well. are u taking 50 for 500. all movement on gold yesterday was not up to 100pips frm open to low was 88pips.
