It could be a scene from a movie. We saw a bride heading to church in her about-to-wed car few Saturdays ago. She came down suddenly, ran wild across the pitch where we were playing soccer while the people from her entourage pursued frantically, screaming and wailing. Pitiful sight!
Some bystanders amidst sighs and cries of "ikunle o" already had tears rolling down their cheeks.
Until when the film director shouted,"cut" and clapped, "Nice performance".
The actors stopped the act suddenly, shook hands, smiled and headed back to their cars.

I hope this is just another scene from yet another movie. The heartbreak and agony is best imagined.

A friend in Lagos was looking for NGOs or other government bodies that probably collect re-usable items to IDPs. Good people should not be discouraged about the monstrous nature of few Nigerians.

I located a representative of the IRC in Adamawa. They stopped working with partners from Lagos when they discovered most were scam agencies collecting donations on their behalf only to randomly dispose of it.
I currently send to Abuja where their partners ship to Adamawa from where it's distributed to other IDP camps in the NE.

There's another verse in surat-l Furqan on same subject matter. Jazakallahu khairan.

The Holy Quran is not only full of miracles but it is a miracle in itself. In its verses Allah, the Supreme Creator (or God Almighty) has invited all intelligent human beings to ponder over His marvelous creations and gain knowledge. Modern science is discovering slowly the events/objects that have been revealed to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) over 1400 years ago through the Holy Quran.
One of such great miracle is the meeting of two oceans/seas in such a way that they flow side by side, or even within each other, but they don’t mix and mingle. In many places around this world there are two masses of sweet-water and salt-water flowing side by side at the same place but without mixing or mingling with each other

We are servicing debts to a tune of 1.36tn because we failed to save when the oil price hit the roof at $140 barely 2 years ago and consistently above $100 mark for about 4yrs!

Interestingly, the Federal budget didn't even hit the 5tn mark all through this period until 2014 albeit marginally.

Meanwhile the spending on subsidy hit an all time high of petroleum 1.8tn in 2011 when less than 15% of that sum was budgeted for. In 2015, we budgeted even less! Barely enough for a quarter's overbloated subsidy payment then. It was a budgeted clearly railroaded to failure. Then, out of the blue came the snipping off of N10 from the pump raising raising the subsidy burden.

This budget looks very ambitious, daring and with survival indices. However, sanitising the procurement system, not just for the defence Ministry but for Works, Health and all MDAs will give it the desired impact on the economy.

However, extending the subsidy regime beyond Jan1 is an economic suicide. Remove yet Regulate because Alhaji Putin and the 40 thieves are Machiavellian bizmen. The unregulated Diesel still goes for N120 which is far overpriced!

Kanu is a fraud. The arm-twisting to shovel a GEJ pity down the caller's throat is unmistakable.

The National Conference sponsored by GEJ clearly came with a caveat that the sovereignty of Nigeria and its oneness is not negotiable. Ironically, the SE did no push it, they did not root for it at the confab.

It only takes a little sense of history to know that:
- Ojukwu supported and voted for a Shagari after his return rather than Azikwe his brother
- Ojukwu floated a regional party and contested the Presidential elections, he was treated with disdain by his own folks. They moved for an Obasanjo overwhelmingly
- The same agitators totally rejected every symbol and heritage of Biafran bond politically instituted by the father of the region - Late Chief Odimegwu Ojukwu. APGA has consistently struggled to remain afloat.

What the SE needs even more importantly is regional integration and unbridled cooperation among its member states. Cooperation in that region and the NC are perhaps the worst in the country with the SW and NW tops.

Biafra is a good idea, but the bullshit, casting of aspersions and unjustified vituperation in very uncouth word choices will do more harm than good in the long run.
