agabusta: I just dont understand. Some people are alleging that it is because they will still make their money from estimated bills. And they in turn will not pay for the rejected power.
Guyman02: Chai! Everything is projected on Niger Delta OYEL
What has happened to all the talk about economic diversification by the State Govs and FG over the years? No wonder they keep supporting Operation Crocodile Smile, Python Dance, Rabbit Clap, Cockroach Laugh, Mosquito Bite in the Niger Delta and South East where the Oyel is domiciled and many Nairalanders who are state and local govt workers will be shouting on this forum kill them IPOB, scatter the militants, burn the agitators because their salaries comes from that area
Go check the 2017 budget as presented by the president and stop celebrating your ignorance in public. EVERYTHING is not based on oil. INFLOW projections has less than 50% oil revenue component. Truth is, we've progressed a little. Diversification is not achieved overnight. But then, there's still a whole lot to be done.
Kingbuhari: please i want to ask a serious Question and I need a decent answer... why is it that Infidelity/Adultery is common in Western Nigeria I want to ask if this thing they are doing is ancestral curse or genetic, because every 90% of reported case of raping, adultery, infidelity, pedophile etc has it root to the WEST
Because 90% of media outfits are based in the West. The tales secrets of other regions is protected by poor media penetration.
You'll notice most of such tales are from Lagos, then Ibadan... like that.
All those PIRATED CDs ain't worth more than N3,000 at most. When police comes, he'll be clamped in prison and taken to court. He won't be able to produce a likely bail of N150,000 and the "high-value" sureties.
He may spend the next 24 months awaiting trial, only to get an eventual sentence of perhaps 3 months. He already served a sentence in excess of 21 months and his young life that needed some tuning is thus ruined.
He aligns with tougher goons from the prison to become a better version of what he attempted - armed robber or kidnapper.
We need to fix the INJUSTICE called our JUDICIAL system.
omololakej: @ lestylo am a bead maker and supply at wholesales price.
Awesome. Let me have your email address for a chat. I'll speak with my friend if it still interests her. I had held back cos most of the people in here are trying to be middle men which will hike retail cost and make it a worthless venture. Rovk-bottom price is key.
corkpikin: The French government really tried but one thing I have noticed about here is that the real estate here are not organized.
They love enjoyment pass their future. If you want to know. I was in a bar at Alade market along Riveria around 8:00 pm then a police man came and instructed the bar man to reduce the volume of the music.
Girls here are dope # If u are married problem if you are not married bigger one.

Nigeria is better . If you can maintain your champion. I thought SouthhAfrica was expensive Mo wa l'enu e bayi.
Oh my God! You cracked me up silly. I dey feel you bro.
You keep the memories flooding. I hope to go for a vacation in Abidjan someday soon.
Also buy multiple items from a single merchant to save a lot on shipping cost. Up to 5 items can be shipped for the price of just one if one purchases from same merchant.
eleojo23: This guy was involved in the rebellion that toppled "His Excellency President for Life, Conqueror of the British Empire, Field Marshal Alhaji Dr. Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC."
But it seems Museveni himself want to be president for life too. He's been in office since 1986!
MKO Abiola was the African stooge used to bankroll the coup d'etat.
ccollins: please, how do I contact you about this, would love to start bead in Abidjan. can we talk on phone, how much do I need to use to start and in what areas in Abidjan is markets needed and highly profitable.
Hello. An old friend in CIV would love to sell beads. Perhaps i can hook you two and she could be your retailer of sort. What do you think? Yes, she's an Ivoirian but speaks no word of English apart from basic greetings.
Did u notice the sound effects too? At a point he was tapping the microphone to produce additional effects. Then a lady held to her skirt to avoid it riding up too high.
* after the free kick camera man dnt fall, he doesn't even feel any force that will make him stagger
* after the free kick ushers turns to goal keeper, I wonder maybe they restrict the number of people the anointing get to
*since I have been reading the bible and hearing Jesus performing his miracles, I have never for once heard or read that he used that method to heal people
Proudlyngwa: There is a reason they are called illegal. We can as well license illegal drug production centers. Illegal tertiary institutions. Illegal foods and beverages.
Sometimes I wonder, whether the cause of our problems is in the air we breathe or the water we drink.
Very interesting thread. I was in Abidjan and travelled many parts if the country as an engineer between 2008 an010 before the Gbagbo crises shut down my company operations. My last visit was in 2012. This thread enlivened those awesome memories.
But by every means, Abidjan is one of the liveliest, beautiful and secured cities in Africa. By World Bank ranking, Abidjan has got the best infrastructure of all West African cities.
@saveasoul Difficult to get a European visa from Abidjan or any West African country. You will likely be referred to your country of origin.
@ngcars Spaghetti avec robin plus un pot de lait caille. I ate and savoured it from day one. I never adapted to the bread though. I got more adaptable bread from the patisserie.
Language will be your least problem. Abidjan is very cosmopolitan, lots of nationals from different countries. Nigerians would only be outnumbered by Burkinabes. Treichvilles, Kumasi, Adjame and Marjory remblais and Biafra. (Yes, there's a quartier called Biafra) have Nigerians in swarms. The people of Ehigbo in Osun state have run businesses in Ivory Coast for generations. Once met an old man who said his dad brought him to Abidjan in 1942 and he's today a grandpa
Enjoy your stay bro. We would love to hear your story.
Johnpaul2k2: This happened 3 weeks ago in Ochanja Market it's quite unfortunate that the money was later found under same Boss Custody. the security men and the man has all flee to unknown destination. it was nothing but heart of Wickedness
Adeoba10: And some people cant do without sucking it.... One guy was using his kidney to think n anus to talk, dat there is nothing like blood money, (literally saying dat dia is nothing like juju) i pity ur life, i pray dat our family will not be dia victim. . . . I have seen where they put charm on pap (eko elewe) placed it on a wood, den using new cutlass with heavy force in striking dis pap, mehn nothing do dis pap.
Back to topic.. . May God heal you.... Or make you spray am with either Baygon, Raid or Sniper. Or make u open am under sun, bcus dats one of the oldest form of meat preservation.
@bolded : A pastor wey dey claim MACHO just survived juju attack few days ago in same ogun state. Indeed Ogun state is the global HQ of OGUN - "Juju".
Guk: No! She is not the one. It's a company dress code that has existed for over 10years and it refers specifically to Jeans trousers
Too many people here who don't read, will not read and wallow in the pomposity of self ignorance; living daily on sheer conjectures and bandying misinformation.
trapQ: I remember telling an atheist the bolded, they didn't believe. I hope they get it now. TB Joshua's church (Christianity) is the biggest tourism we have in Nigeria. What is the contribution of atheism or Islam to Nigeria?
Religious tourism is our biggest and most successful tourism sector and TV Joshua truly controls it.
The last time I was at MMIA, there were 120passengers heading to Tanzania alone and almost 100 others to SA. They all had TB Joshua branded T-Shirts on with mufflers branding the flags of their country of origin.
TB Joshua is even known to be the most philanthropic pastor I know of in Nigeria. Perhaps others don't bother showcasing their but he remains one clergy to beat.
davide470: Well, Tiger Brands left Dangote Flour after years of recording losses. Within a year of their exit, Dangote brought back Dangflour to a profitability status.
Sun is leaving Federal Palace Hotel citing unrealised loss of foreign exchange bla bla.. Though it is not a public quoted firm, I can bet you after their exit, Federal Palace Hotel would bounce back.
So you see why foreign investors are skeptical?
Na by ourself we dey kill ourself!..
I like the Tiger brands example which bounced back within a year of Dangote's intervention. Eko hotel is curiously out-performing itself even under these current economic crunch and so it Oriental hotel. I think marketing dynamics count too. Generally though, one would expect a dip in sales of luxury services. Poor Sun! Hope they get back soon.
basilo101: from Iwuanyawu Nationale, to Udoji United, to Gabros International, now Ifeanyi Uba FC, the SE has produced privately own clubs that did well in Nigerian League.
You didn't include Enyimba and ageless Rangers of Enugu!
I seriously can't explain this. My Nigerian passport expired and I applied for reissue at the Nigerian Immigration Service in Lagos. On application the officers told me it will take 3 to 7 working days to be ready. I couldn't believe now that close to 2 months I'm yet to collect this passport. Anytime I go to the immigration office, they will just tell me that it is not yet ready, that I should continue trying my luck by checking often. Please, what do I do? I need to travel with my passport. I made the requested payment of N28,000. I am really stranded here.
Rule #1: When you need you passport to be fixed quickly just travel hinterland to Ilorin, Osogbo etc. Leave the hustling commercial hubs with international airports. The immigration offices there will fix it within 24-48hrs. In Kaduna, I fixed mine same day and the officer even called me to come pick up. They needn't ask, I gave them all some cash cos I was genuinely impressed!
iamarvye: How Bayelsa is unable to pay salary still baffles me,even without any infrastructural development.... *sigh Then I think Aregbesola deserves a big clap for finding a way to pay workers of over 25LGs without stopping infrastructural projects and Bayelsa can't even handle 7LGs without any tangible project in 5yrs...
Meanwhile Osun is one of the top 7 civil service states in Nigeria.
