LegitBoy: You're getting it all wrong. They have been dating for 5 good years and he attested she has never demanded for anything. I bet you if they are the materialistic type, they wont wait for 5years to make a first demand. I doubt if the guy loves the girl or he is suffering from some overbloated importance feeling because I can't fathom how someone can be so callous. I'm in school and not working yet but I can't imagine having a gf in financial mess like this and be waiting till she asks. ...even if it is just 20k, I will help her with it.
The guy should break up with her because she obviously deserves someone better. it's funny when people equate love with money. We are all just receiving ourselves in this world. Because he doesnt want to give money to a woman he has no relationship with now means he doesn't love loooolz. Love and money. Pari Pasu. Ever heard this? In love and war all is fair. Enough said |

olaboy1: And when the lady finally becomes successful she suddenly wants someone in her league base on this thread below. You think the likes of Linda Ikeji didn’t get any boy friend support whilst struggling in the university, but now demands are very high.
https://www.nairaland.com/4339785/run-away-successful-lady-above/10#64981063 that's true. In life everyone is playing games. Where I eat lunch at work there's this daughter of the cook, she's an illiterate but quite pretty. those bank security guys around do have fun with her gisting as per same lever na. Any time me and my guys come around to eat she just shuns them and focus on us shinning teeth like bingo. most times when I notice I shun her too. Imagine what would be going through the mind of those guys. That is simply because they are poor nothing spectacular. No fall scam for this love thing bro. Marry for "love" but secure your financial future. Enough is enough |

Donlittle: ok, you missed the context the poor girl was in. Poor girl not because of funds, but poor girl because her fiance doesn't deserve her and she has dated him for five years. same way she dated him for five years is the same way he dated her for five years. Helloooo, where are the gender equality warriors when you need them My friend, nobody ever loves a poor guy. Don't be fooled to settle for less to a poor girl for love, she most likely wouldn't love the guy if she had a better choice or if the guy was broke. The probability is high. Make the best decision not for emotions but the best based on data, experience and assumption. |

I don't think the lady deserves you recently my not so well to do friend lost his girl friend because the mom saw no future in the struggling guy. Overview- he is poor. Same way the op girl's mom would have dumped him if he had nothing. Give No room for poverty my dear. A word is enough for the wise. |

Donlittle: ah i don't understand this guy here o. I hope the lady finds this and move on to something better. This is your fiancee that you want to marry, and you will rather she be homeless while at university than help her out with rent?
No wonder she didn't ask you by herself because she already knows your personality and the fact that you won't help her at all, must have taken a lot for her to tell her mom to ask you.
Poor girl deserves someone better, not because you do not have the money, but because you are considering leaving her after her family asks for your help to take care of someone you want to get married to.
You are a terrible human being, honestly. poor girl? Please tell me why no one loves a poor boy but a poor girl. How often do you see people love a poor boy so dearly but the poor girl. Marriage these days is about alliance my dear don't fool yourself. Poverty is a disease and every one must run away from it like usain bold. I advise that he leaves the girl and her family alone. Life is not fair after all. |

modelmike7: Hmm, this is so true. I just thought about it the simple way you analyzed this now. Seems you live abroad, cos this is the way things are done in a sane society. Thumbs up man! I have never stepped foot outside naija. I am an insurance practitioner and I know how reluctant Nigerians are when it comes to insurance. Thanks for the complement though. |

PrecisionFx: No insurance company will insure ur business against fire hazards if u don't have sprinklers n surveillance cameras.
Water Sprinkler won't destroy up to 5% of what fire will destroy. Fire clears everything n even burns the building to the ground. I never said any insurance coy would cover ones business without sprinklers or cameras am just saying water could also damage things. 5% of 100 million naira is much too you know. Thanks for your input though. |
Properties › Re: Fire Destroys Vivid Imagination Fashion House In Lagos (Photos) by Letzdothething: 7:48pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
PrecisionFx: A simple sprinkler system should have saved them from this misfortune. Nigerians aren't ready for business. a sprinkling system might put out the fire and eventually damage other things. Fire insurance is the best coupled with other optional extention which also would include damages from sprinkler system as a result of fire. That would have been covered as well. I doubt if such company wouldn't have insurance cover but if they didn't, that's their loss. |

modelmike7: SO SAD, praying they bounce back soon!
VIVID IMAGINATIONS: The only designer of our generation! money has gone and no amount of prayer can bring that back. If they had a fire insurance cover which I assume wouldn't cost up to 500k or less(assuming their sum assured or total worth is roughly about 100 million naira) yearly they would have been indemnified(refunded). In developed countries, almost everything is insured. Stop praying and start acting. |
Romance › Re: "Run Away From Any Successful Lady That Is Above 30 & Single" - Physiotherapist by Letzdothething: 8:44am On Feb 10, 2018 |
franchasng: lol, the poster is right to some extent. all men desire to date and marry successful ladies but the reality most times makes guys run away from successful ladies.
there are very good successful ladies, one of my friend is so lucky to date and marry one; she is successful, humble, cute and very amazing, even me admire her. and my friend used to be a bad guy, but this lady's good character made him decide to change for good plus pressure from us his friends. Who knows maybe why she remained good was because my friend is also successful, who knows
so there are very good successful single ladies above 30yrs but they are very few, the bad ones outnumber them.
now let me ask u, dont u see lots of successful men, rich guys, buoyant guys so in love and worshipping their broke girlfriends and wives, but we hardly see successful ladies that are in love and worshipping their broke boyfriends and husbands, its usually insult and drama from the successful lady to their broke or struggling man.
this is why men cry fowl. many rich and successful guys are out there loving broke ladies like mumu, even worshipping the broke ladies and showering them with love. gifts, cars, etc but u will never see successful ladies do same for a broke guy, instead successful ladies only respect men who are richer and more successful than them, that is the problem.
only very few ladies remain good and humble when they are successful, even to their family members, female friends and what have u, women know this truth well said. You get time type this kind thing. You try |

delishpot: Another woman basher. Who broke his arrogant heart? He probably felt intimidated by the womans success and wanted to lord it over her to prove he is boss irrespective of her personal success as a human being but because she doesnt need his cash (which is typically the controlling tool) she put him where he belonged and now he is crying foul. Some lazy men sef. get off your head my dear. Trash the message not the messenger. I work in a corporate environment and what he posted is fact. |

Romance › Iya Duni Over Priced Herself by Letzdothething(op): 11:06pm On Feb 08, 2018 |
Just this evening I saw a girl whom we finished primary and maybe secondary school together. We still live in the sam area though. I have been seeing her since but I talked to her today but before I proceed let me tell you guys a bit about her.
Oya duni was "an ugly" girl when we were in primary school, slim and black Yoruba girl then. Though now she's not ugly but the stigma and lack of friends then still lives with her to this day am pretty sure.
I met her this night and tried to talk to her, not because I wanted anything from her but I thought it was worth talking to a "friend" with whom we went to same primary school.
Met her at a shop tried to talk, though she remembered my name but after wards she ignored me. Quite embarrassing though lol but am not as angry as I would have if it were a normal girl I didn't know. The woman selling at the shop almost laughed at me when she left. Iya duni walked away but I told the shop owner she was my mate in primary and secondary school and we had not talked for almost 20years then the woman was amazed and shocked at the attitude iya duni displayed.
Am not vexed sha and I still don't know if I would ignore her when next we see. I feel what she went through those days now but it's past and I don't know if I can help her.
Miss my primary school friends. Community primary school festac extention 2001 graduating set. Miss you all.
I wish she and others see this. |
