Money they say na him be "fine bobo"...Some comment and threads I read here emphasized on money been d only means dat can attract and keep naija ladies not even ur good looks, characters. I am a good looking guy with good dress sense,I do get compliments frm both genders, but my physical features can only attract a lady to me but at the end if I dnt spend dat money on dem,I lose dem gradually. I am not the kind of guy dat loves to use money or material stuffs to impress or entice ladies, I av the cash to throw around but majority of our ladies are so materialistic. I know of a pretty lady I dated some years back but she just stylishly left me to date a car washer cos d guy always lavish money on her but yet she dnt love d guy. My question is dat must money be d only means to keep a lady to be loyal to you? Fine bobo n gud attitude can only get babes around you but ur money will keep dem. Now I am planning to settle down, but dnt wanna use money to impress or entice a lady,I love to be myself, but it seems dat dis ladies cant stick with u if u dnt spend lavishly on dem....I knw dier are some good n non-materialistic ladies out dier but to come get dem na wahala.... Guys gat need to hustle hard,if not dis ladies no go REASON WITH YOU...,lolzzzz. |
Please read this....very informative...an eye opener Most Nigerians and mobile phone users all over the globe usually lock their phones , thereby making it difficult for anyone to have access to information in them, particularly their account details. But a suspected telephone hacker who was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ladipo, Lagos, has revealed that such measure does not prevent him and his likes from gaining access into any bank account if they laid their hands on such phones. Surprisingly, the 31-year-old suspect, Dare Oladimeji, is a Senior Secondary School Certificate holder. In this interview with Crime Guard, Oladimeji, a footballer, who just returned from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, having concluded his two years contract with ALAIN FC, said hacking into bank accounts through phones , had nothing to do with being a graduate. Some suspected members of his gang as gathered, had earlier been arrested and charged to court. He was tracked to Idi-Oro area of Lagos, during investigation into the withdrawal of N200,000 from a victim’s account . Asked if he had any connivance with bank staff, he shook his head, stating rather , that he got the necessary details from Google Chrome. He boasted that money could be withdrawn from account through stolen sim card, no matter the code used to prevent one from accessing the phone. Hear him: “I work on sim cards to get money. When I lay my hands on any sim card, I would slot it into any small phone that is not adroid. When that is done, I would press a code which brings out the list of banks the owner of the sim uses. “For example, if the person is using GTB, I will proceed with the normal code of *37*100#. If the person has money , we would use it to buy recharge card to confirm how much the owner has, through the debit alert that would pop in to reveal the balance. Thereafter, we would transfer the money into donors accounts, from where we would withdraw the money”. Asked what happens if phone is locked, he said, “ Locking of phones with password does not stop me from hacking into any account, as long as I can lay my hands on the sim card. All I need to do is to remove the sim and slot it into a small phone. “The only thing that can prevent me from hacking into account through phone is when the SIM card itself is locked. But most people don’t lock their sim cards, they only lock their phones. You can only beat my likes to the game if you lock your sim card because only the owner knows the password”. He stated that he resorted to doing such illicit deal after he lost the money he brought from Dubai. According to him, “ When I came back from Dubai in 2016, I brought N7 million , out of which I gave one Mr Shola N5 million for a genuine business with NUPENG. Unfortunately, the man died . We pick SIM cards “ I decided to venture into this business which is a small version of yahoo yahoo because I didn’t want to go into robbery. At Idi-Oro, there are pick pockets . When they snatch phones from victims, they would throw the sim cards away. What I do is to go looking for these sim cards and continue from there. “Nobody taught me the skill. I learnt it from google chrome. This is just common sense. But I regret my action because I have brought shame to my children”, said the father of three. The suspect as gathered, would be charged to court soon.

Most times I read how guys bash ladies on nairaland on how they too love money and all sorts and the ladies feel bad and start to react....anyway I dont blame the guys at times cos most have had one or two bad experience with women in the past. Our ladies think all that glitters is gold, they believe guys that spend money lavishly on them truly loves and cares for them, after those guys have used and dump them, they start saying all men are scums. There was this particular lady I asked out 3yrs ago,I really liked her and wanted to have a serious relationship with but she refused, turned down my advances cos I was not spending huge as she expected,i av a supermarket I operate, she will come to my shop and start to demand thinking I will always give her wateva she needs for her to date me but I dnt really see love dat way, even wanted to friendzone me...I av d money to spend but it shudnt be a priority to date me. To cut the story short...She later went and accept to date a guy who spends lavishly on her as she desire,at times she will pass in front of my shop and do shakara na,making mockery of me,saying am stingy bla bla but we can still be friends. She came to my shop today and as we gisted, she told me on how that guy she dated for 3yrs has finally left her and get married to another lady...she saw all the wedding pics on facebook and was devastated so she has to move on saying she will never trust any guy again...she don turn bad gal now, lolzzz till "mr right" comes her way. Anyway,I just have to console her and tell her to move on with her life....but me i knw indirectly she wanted me back, but i av also moved on,I no fit dey use 3yrs dey toast woman,I beta channel my energy to sumtin else...the wait doesnt worth it most times, dier are many fishes in d river. Women shud try n discern a serious guy n non serious ones,is not all abt d money all d time. |

Hello romancelanders, hope you guys are cool, hope dis election postponement stuff no make una vex too much sha, lolzzz, dat is naija for u,always dissapointing....may God help us. Honestly, sometimes am just confused about ladies or some ladies and the way dey behave or may be dat is how nature made it,lolzzz... I met a lady thru a female friend, dis female friend brought us together, after d usual introduction,as usual na,I called her to check on her most times,we chat also on whatsapp, but wat annoys me most is dat,she is dos type dat reply chat after lyk 15mins,I just av to follow her pattern also,if she reply me afta lyk 15mins of sending her chat,me sef go reply her afta lyk 30mins too, lolzzz. but she always lyk reading my status immediately i post, which means she is always online. However, I felt dis feelings n love am trying to show her she is not reciprocating,i dnt just undstnd her...abi may be she is still forming hard to get or wat? Three days ago i called her n response wasnt really giving me a feeling lyk sum1 dat is interested...although,I really told her i want to av sumtin serious with her which i really meant it...no time...am not gettin younger, lolzz. But her somehow attitude n cold treatment i just dnt undstnd. Therefore, last nite,i uploaded a very beautiful casual female friend of mine pics on whatsapp status with caption "angel"...mehn..all hell let loose, she started uploading her half naked pics with caption.."I guess u dnt know what u re missing"....indirectly also writing a kind of heart felt words on status, lyk sum1 dat was disappointed...she even wrote"after all d mad love,u av caused dis,it was shining before now it is rusting" ...all dis i know was directed to me,lolzzz, she was so bittered n angered afta she saw d pics of d lady i put on whatsapp. However,my point is dis...why do they behave dis way...a guy will show interest, give u his love, time, attention, but dey will just keep u in d dark...men are not mind readers,if u as a lady is not interested why cant u let d guy know,if u re interested let him know too, stop dis forming too hard to get...I cant be chasing a woman lyk a USA VISA,abeg some ladies shud grow up...If d guy now shift attention now,dey will start acting jealous and be thinking some men are players or loverboys....no time to waste oooo. |
Without the intention of wrecking relationships, if you are a man and you have a wife or you are in a serious relationship, then you should read this article. And here’s why… According to a recent study by condom manufacturer Durex; 29,000 people in 36 countries were interviewed on their likelihood to cheat of their partners, Nigerian Women were considered to be the most unfaithful in the world! As a Nigerian, you might dismiss this survey as untrue on religious and cultural basis; however, Durex may not be far from the truth actually. To tell the truth, the unfortunate day I discovered that my wife was cheating, I wasn’t prepared for it. In fact, I had not suspected her once since we got married five years ago. I mean I TRIED to satisfy her as a man the best way I can, the sex wasn’t bad (at least not to me…I ASSUMED); although I was battling with some SEXUAL ISSUES, however, she always told me that there was no problem that she loves me regardless of my sexual weaknesses. She promised me that we were going to find a solution to it together. I am an author and a successful one at that. The day my entire world crumbled before my eyes was the day I came back home 5 hours earlier than normal because I forgot a very important office document. To my dismay and utter betrayal, I saw my beloved and ‘faithful’ wife being banged and spread wide from side to side by another man who seemed to be in total control of the game. My wife was screaming, moaning, and enjoying herself in ways I had never seen her before. Suddenly, warm tears involuntarily started to drop down my cheek because she was not just the mother of my little children, but she was also my lover and best friend (at least that was what I thought). They were totally into each other, very unaware of my presence in the room. I sat by the corner of the room almost losing my breath like an asthmatic patient. My first impulse was to pick a knife off the kitchen cabinet. I almost did. If I had done that, chances were that I would have committed murder that day and my entire family and bright career would have been brought to shambles. I decided to kill that thought of murder, and at least see the face of the person who is rough handling my wife. Then I saw his face, it wasn’t my boss, or neighbour, or best friend. It was hers. The guy who had always been there. They were very close friends before I met her. They were still friends even while we dated. When we were getting married, she asked me to make him one of my groomsmen. They had been friends ever since. At first I was uncomfortable with how close they were. However, she told me he was like a brother to her. Then he got a girlfriend, who he eventually married and I never saw him in that light again – a threat. Until that unfortunate moment of course, when stark reality stared me in the face like a one-eyed monster…ALL BECAUSE I HAD A SEXUAL PROBLEM AND DIDN’T FIX IT IN TIME; AND SHE ALWAYS TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY TOO MUCH THAT SHE UNDERSTANDS.It was at that moment that the eternal words from my grandmother resounded in my head: Alatise lo moatisearare (meaning, it is only you who can fix your own problems not someone else). Here are eight ( STAGGERING STATISTICS about how negligence of YOUR sexual activeness can destroy your home, happiness, and life.1. 39% of Nigerian women are currently cheating on their husbands due to lack of attention and of course the INABILITY of the MAN to perform is MATRIMONIAL DUTIES. 2. 24% of Nigerian women are tending towards depression and extra-marital affairs due to SEXUAL STARVATION or BAD SEX LIFE. There is a 65% chance that they will cheat on their husbands in a matter of weeks. 3. 77% of Nigerian men actually believe that they are great in bed…A Sex god! Very funny. However, studies show that only about 21% are actually good at knocking the hell out of their partner’s P*SS*Y; the remaining 56% are living in delusion because when they bang their wives, they hear her moan. 4. 55% of women moan not because they are enjoying the sex, but because they don’t want to bruise the ego of their partner. So they just keep deceiving the men. 5. 45% of divorce cases in Nigeria are as a result of the man not being able and willing to SERVICE HIS WIFE CONSTANTLY, and in ONE CORNER…EVERY CORNER. 6. Every woman wants the PRINCE & the GANGSTAR. Be her Prince by showing care and providing for her and the family; Be Her Gangstar by firing her Everyday, Everytime, and in Everyway…UNTIL SHE SCREAMS! 7. There is a 75% chance that even a faithful woman will cheat on her husband at least 5 times in her life time if HE consistently UNDER-PERFORMS in the OTHER ROOM. 8. Finally, there is a 69% chance that the person your wife might be cheating on you with is very close to you. Women most times cheat not with a total stranger, but with a man that is known and familiar with both of you.

A photo of a young Ghanaian lady who went braless which is making rounds on social media and has generated several arguments. The unidentified lady who on board a commercial vehicle was showing her ‘big oranges’ to the world through her dress. In the photo, her oranges were seen standing firm and enchanting in her cool outfit as she seemed unperturbed. Apparently, a lad in the vehicle who couldn’t stop admiring the succulent b**bs secretly snap a photo of the young lady and shared it on social media. Already, as expected many Ghanaians are commenting on the trending photo with mixed reactions. A section of the public believe mayhap she’s one of the yaanom advertising for new clients. A 27 year-old man has lost an eye in his quest for spiritual powers to help him win lottery games. The victim, Emmanuel Okachi, reportedly sought help from a witchdoctor in Ishiagu village, near Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State to acquire spiritual sight to see lucky numbers. A friend of the victim, Osita Uzoka, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Ogwashi-Uku that the incident occurred on Jan. 12, 2019. “He went to see a juju man to help him acquire spiritual sight so that he can be wining lotto games, popularly known as ‘Baba Ijebu" “He once told me that he was worried that he has been playing lotto games without success,” Uzoka said. According to him, Emmanuel later sought the help of a witchdoctor who assured him of spiritual solution. Uzoka narrated how the victim later went to the witchdoctor who reportedly prepared some concoctions for him. He said the witchdoctor gave Emmanuel the prepared substance to drink and rob on his eyes. “He never told anyone what he did, but when he started feeling some discomfort in his left eye, he cried out. “I heard about it from one of our friends so I went to see him, that was when he told me what transpired. “He was taken to the hospital following a swollen eye, but no solution. Right now, he has lost his left eye,” Uzoka said. An elder brother to the victim, Justin Okachi, told NAN that the family is devastated by the incident. “We don’t want to say anything about it. We are really shocked by Emma’s desperation. “For now, we want to forget about the whole incident. He has his life to live,” Uche said. NAN gathered from village sources that the witchdoctor, whose name was not given, has since gone into hiding.(NAN)

Happy Sunday romancelanders........ Based on the way men were created,we have this high libido or sexual urge in us which enables us to want to satisfy our sexual desire openly without pretence and women knows this,so sometimes women will usually want to manipulate us in different ways because of our high libido because they usually hide theirs unlike men. Now,the question is,have you ever turn down a sexual offer from a lady you are either into or not knowing fully well that you also wanted the sex and how did she feel when you turn down her offer...... However, mine was in my 300L,after lectures that day,I was so tired and the only thing in my mind is just to go home and sleep even if the angel blew the rapture trumpet that day,I will tell him to wait let me finish my sleep cos of the level of fatigue in me lolzzz, immediately i got to my room,a phone call came in from one well endowed babe(course mate) that I booked appointment with that day, knowing fully well that a confirm match must happen between us lolzzz,I no just reason her matter that day at all cos I really need the sleep badly to calm my body system. To cut the story short I just lie to the babe that am not at home,no tym ooo, make she no come add to the stress i had already lolzzz, and she really felt so dissappointed cos i can sense her tone reaction from our conversation, anyway sha,we fixed another appointment next time......and it was a day to always recall.....lolzzzz. Please feel free to share yours..... |
A Nigerian guy has come out online to warn girls over food wastage during dates. He said: “Hello Joro, Please help me beg girls following you. I know they all think the same way. Please if I take you out make sure you finish the food. If not I will wait until you finish this food. I can’t spend money for you to come and take pictures of the food for Snapchat. These girls would have eaten Eba and Garri before leaving there house then come and waste my food. If you don’t finish the food. We won’t leave until you do. They will come to take pictures, being eaten this and not eat it before they have not eaten it before in their life. If you want to marry this year. Take my advise God bless you”.

Research has revealed that some single women are now complaining due to over scarcity of suitors in the country. It is the desire of most ladies to get hooked to a man at certain age brackets for support, procreation and affection. But all around today, we have many single ladies with no suitors. There are many single ladies and as well as bachelors who would want to get married, but the fear of uncertainty of the future of the union have really prevented many from doing so owing to unpredicatable economic situation. Reports showed that there were enough women and men who really wanted to get married but it appeared both sides do not want to gamble into it to avoid devastating consequences and regrets in the future. One of the ladies, who preferred to be simply called Titi said she had taken the issue of marriage as a do-or-die affair due to “internal pressure” but that as much as she had tried, frustration had often been the result. At 37, the businesswoman who sells clothes in Ikeja, the Lagos State capital in western Nigeria, disclosed that she is not finding life easy. “What is happiness without a man in a woman’s life?”she asked our correspondent during a chat. She had dated several men with some promising marriage, but without fulfilling the promise. “You can’t imagine that in the last three years, I have dated about eight men, but the relationship was often short-lived simply because I ask for their commitment.I am not getting any younger and I cry every time I see my mates with their husbands and children. If at 37 I don’t have a child or a permanent man, when would I have them? Is it when my skin has wrinkled? she asked our correspondent Miss Karia Anumba, 41, lamented that she had lived and changed many cities in Nigeria looking for suitors but those she met were afraid because they were not sure of the future of the marriage. She revealed that she tried to convince and persuade the men she had contact with to make the move and even assured them that she would manage no matter the condition, but regretted that none of them agreed to marry her. Anumba said she quickly relocated to Lagos from Abuja when she realized that she was gradually turning into prostitute because of the drive for marriage. She explained that since she came to Lagos, she had engaged herself with a work and was still searching for interested men but yet to get one. She narrated that some men who were above 40 years still roamed about and do not want to get married; attributing it to fear and economic condition as most of them were jobless. Bose (surname withheld), 37, has found herself patronising many of the social interaction sites on the internet. The banker told our correspondent that she is on Eskimi, 2go, Badoo, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter as well as 4clique and Instagram just to look for life partner. “We can’t tell the particular broom in the bunch that kills a fly,” she said on why she patronises such number of social interaction sites. “I always change my name in the different sites but the ultimate goal is to get a husband,” she added. Bose reveals that she is really worried about the situation, adding that she lives comfortably (in a mini-flat and has a car), “but who do I have to enjoy this comfort with me? “I have tried a hook up programme on a Lagos-based radio station, but my age is now a major factor hindering my dream of being married,” she lamented pleading with our married correspondent, who she considered a bachelor, to “help dry my tears.” A married woman, who gave her name as Mrs. Blessing Aguebor and resident in Oshodi, confirmed that the issue of lack of serious men for marriage is giving many ladies sleepless nights. She narrated the touching story of her friend who was disappointed by her boyfriend of five years when it was time to “settle down”. “My friend was 29 when he met this man in Benin and they dated for five years. The man was always giving the lady hope without her knowing the man had other plans. The year he fixed for their marriage was the year he travelled abroad without even informing my friend. It was later he called her and asked her to find another man because he still had many more years to hustle. My friend almost went mad. She is 36 now without a man. I had to convince her to relocate to Lagos so that possibly out of the population here, she would find someone. It is pathetic,” she said. A 38-year old business woman in Ketu, narrated how she lost her first husband to a friend, Idayat, who was desperate for a husband. According to Mrs. Adewunmi who remarried last year, Idayat was 36 and needed a husband but her search was endless. “I was always encouraging her and made her a part of my family. She would always help me take care of the kids when I go to the market. With time, she took over my husband without my knowledge until the day I caught them red-handed and that was the end of my marriage. Ladies are like hunters these days,” she said. Asked why she was not married at 34, Blessing, a nurse with a private hospital in Abuja, retorted: “that is why I’m on this social site. Why are you asking? Is it a bad idea if you propose to me?” She explained that life was becoming unbearable without a husband. “My friends and family members are aways asking when they would come and ‘chop’ rice, and I keep hoping,” she added. A marriage counsellor in Lagos, Mrs. Victoria Aliu, told P.M.NEWS that scarcity of ‘real men’ is becoming a terrible condition for women ready for marriage. She blamed the problem partly on the Nigerian economy, confusion among the bachelors on their choices of the women they want as wives and the attitudes of the spinsters. “Many women, whether consciously or not, behave irritably sometimes, forgetting that the man just beside them at every point in time may just have been nursing how to start a conversation that could lead to marriage. Some other ladies are very choosy and unserious at their early stages of adulthood. They only open their eyes to discover that their friends are all married and that they are the only ones left at the bus stop. Then it becomes a terrible case for them,” she explained. With the above examples, do you sincerely think that there is scarcity of men for ladied in Nigeria?…..kindly share your opinion with below.......

Former Super Eagles Defender, Taribo West has just made a shocking confession recently. The ex-footballer has just revealed that during his football career days he used juju to play on the field. The ex-footballer turned pastor said he had a manager from Senegal and his manager would take him to several native doctors in Senegal where they will cut his tongue, hands and legs and then cook it. He said, “I spend most of my time at home meditating. All I want to do is to keep spreading the gospel. In my own little way, I have been into evangelisation visiting places like Ughelli and within the Orile community, Ajegunle and so on. God has been kind during these visits to preach the gospel to people who are yet to receive Christ. We believe He will take us globally very soon. Taribo revealed that his move to Europe found him entangled in another life of charms and superstitious beliefs. With a new-found life of affluence, the defender paid huge sums of money for him to be supplied charms to win games, protect him from career-threatening injuries and also to be foretold the results of matches before they were played. He used to burn candles and hold a magical stone from Israel before games. Taribo said, “Of course yes (I was involved). I don’t know why people decline to talk about their involvement with charms. Football has to do with a lot of powers. When there are big events, you look at the stadium, you see people, fans invoking all kinds of things; magicians are there, voodooists are there. “In my playing days, when I was ignorant, I used to get some mallams and babalawos (traditional doctors) to make charms for us, which we took to (national) camp. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. “In some clubs, before every game, the president or leader of the club will give you a lucky charm to play with. They will tell you to put it in your boots or socks and play. It’s their superstitious belief; that it can help them win matches. “There are some coaches who are connected to African magicians and soothsayers from Senegal, Burkina Faso, Zaire or even Nigeria. These people are consulted to give these coaches results of games even before the matches are played. “These people see strange things and they can tell you with their magic and charms, what the outcome of a match will be. People believe and use it. It works for those who believe in it. I saw it, I experienced it, I was with players that used it and I used it. So, why are people denying it? There are charms and rituals in football. It still exists.”

Cambodia community where girls are encouraged to sleep with multiple men to find "The One". In the deep region of Ratanakiri in northeastern Cambodia lie the Kreung people. A people invested in agriculture, electricity is a strange occurrence. Food, shelter and love are the principal needs of these people. Unlike cultures where smoking and drinking is not allowed, teenage boys and girls have free will to. Also, in the areas of love, there is the belief that finding the right man requires a deep search through sex in the “love huts”. Once a girl clocks 13, her father builds a hut where a girl can sexually experiment with any boy she likes. Boys in Kreung are taught to be respectful towards girls. Because their respect for girls will determine if they will continue to maintain the number of livestock they have, they are at the liberty of responding politely to sleeping with her or just talking when they get invited to the hut. Owing to this cultural uniqueness, the Kreung people forbid divorce. The community encourages girls to have as many boyfriends as she wants and can invite them at the same time into the hut. Jealousy and rape are unheard of. Once she no longer finds him attractive, she can leave him for another. Despite these relations, they cannot be seen in the public with their lover unless they are engaged or married. On the cases of pregnancy, the girl chooses who she opines will be best to raise the unborn child. Despite the existence of this culture, HIV/AIDS was not detected in the country until 1991. From then until 2003, Cambodia had one of the highest HIV/AIDS occurrences in Asia. However, because of modernisation and the rigorous attempt by the Royal Government of Cambodia, this culture is no longer as rampant as before.

Good day my dear nairalanders and I hope u guys are having a lovely day.........let me quickly hit the nail on the head,it baffled me so much whenever i open a thread about women either killing their partner or even destroying their properties,i now ask myself why or what is really making some of our ladies/women going berserk these days.......should will blame the men or the women? However,i am a product of a union between a man and a woman,i respect n cherish marriage just as God also ordain and cherish it. Meanwhile, after a man and a woman has profess undying love for each other during the early stage of their union, times later, hatredness set in,and things begins to go the other way, before you know it,it is either the man is a victim or the woman becomes the victim,I now ask myself wat really went wrong....but these days some of our women are volatile in relationships now. There is a case at hand now a friend of mine a lawyer is handling on how a woman connived with some vigilantes just to kill her husband because of a little misunderstanding, now the woman and her cohorts are cooling their heels in police cell. Therefore,we really need to check these, both the man and the woman must share part of the blames why some of our women are going weird, firstly, some men are just pretenders, why not be straightforward and be transparent to the woman you are dating,i knw it might be hard for some but at least be plain, dnt act what u are not,if u no get moni or car dnt go n borrow just to show off,be yourself,ur kind or type of woman will come, after telling all the lies in dis world to the ladies and they accept u then ur true colours will start to evolve and u expect that same lady to trust u or stay with u,men please be honest in ur dealings with women when it comes to relationship matters. However, women also should be contended,if you really want a financial secured man u also should make yourself financially secured, dnt be carried away by all the spendings a man brings, check ur man very well, learn to handle situation maturely, get ur findings and facts well, stop comparing ur man to anoda it can be so irritating, learn to face reality n stop fantasizing on wat u watch on zeeworld or telemundo. In conclusion, nobody is perfect, but how u handle situation in a relationship as a man or a woman matters a lot, dont give room for evil to use as an instrument of destruction, whenever u sense any act of violent in ur partner, pls n pls run for ur life n dont look back so dat nairalanders wont type RIP to u,till then, i wish everyone of us a successful union,God bless you all. |

Good day nairalanders, let me share some vital tips or information to our single ones,am not a relationship adviser but I hope this article will be a guide to most of us that are still searching for their future partner..........Read on..... 11 Questions to ask before getting married Marriage is not something any of us should rush into. When you marry someone, you are essentially saying that you’re ready to spend the rest of your life with them, forsaking all others. You’re saying that you’re ready to settle down with them and devote your life to them. Marriage means obligations, commitments and dedication. It doesn’t come in kit form, but it’s something you have to work at. Besides the usual, “Do you take such and such to be your lawfully married husband/wife?” question, there are also a few questions you need to answer before you walk down the aisle. Answering these questions should help to confirm whether you are ready to get married or not, and they should help to avoid a nasty and painful divorce that none of us should ever have to go through. Without further ado, let’s take a look at 11 questions to ask before getting married. 1. Are You Emotionally Attracted To Your Partner? This is one of the most important questions to ask before getting married. For a lot of us, it’s necessary that we fancy the person we are dating. But when you marry someone, it’s also necessary that you’re emotionally attracted to them, too. A marriage simply cannot last because of looks alone, so you need to make sure that there are foundations here that go beyond mere appearances. If you’re not convinced that this person is your soul mate, you might want to reconsider whether marriage is really right for you both. 2. Are You Ready To Share Bank Accounts? Lots of married couples have a joint bank account, as it helps with their cash flow. You both know your incomings and outgoings, and it makes a lot of sense in terms of budgeting. For those of us who still have an independent mind, giving up your own bank account is not an attractive proposition. If you are the kind of person who wants to be able to control your own expenditure without being told, “Hmm, we haven’t budgeted for another trip to the opera this month, I’m afraid,” you’re going to have a hard time being married. 3. Are You Really Ready To Spend The Rest Of Your Life With Them? This is another one of very important questions to ask before getting married. Committing to just one person for the rest of your life is something you need to think long and hard about. This is the person you are going to be with forever, with no one else involved. It’s a heck of a commitment, and it’s a commitment you really need to be 100% sure of, before walking down that aisle. If you know in your heart of hearts that you are totally committed to your partner, marriage could be absolutely right for you. 4. Do You Resolve Your Arguments? Every couple fights and argues. Some argue over the little things, such as what film to watch. Others argue over the amount of time one of them is spending at work, whilst other people will fight about the irritable things one another does. If your arguments always end in a compromise and you move on, it’s fine. But if your flare-ups are constant and they always end with you or your partner getting your own way, you might need to reconsider your relationship. A marriage is a two-way street, built on compromise, and if one of you is getting your own way all the time, warning signs should be sounding. 5. Are You Prepared To Make Sacrifices? If you or your partner loves going to the ball game on the weekend and hitting the bars after work, you have to be prepared to give some of your vices up, once you get married. Marriage is all about making sacrifices and giving up your time to devote it to your spouse. There will be some weekends where you won’t be able to do the things you really want to do in order to spend time with your partner. This is something that will happen and you need to adjust accordingly. Are you ready to do that? 6. Are Your Beliefs The Same? Here is another one of fundamental questions to ask before getting married: do you have the same beliefs, values and ideals? If one of you is religious and the other is atheist, you’re going to struggle to agree on many things. Moreover, if you go on to have children, your two belief systems will mean that you will want to raise your kids in two different ways. Having the same beliefs helps to avoid conflict, and it means that you’re always singing from the same hymn sheet. 7. Are You Ready To Give Up Your Dreams? Okay, we’re not saying that marriage kills all dreams, but there are certain dreams you will have to give up. After all, you’ve got a partner and a house to support now. With this comes financial responsibilities and obligations. That super car you always wanted might have to be forgotten, as will that dream of travelling around the world. Marriage is about working towards a shared goal, and as such there is no time for huge individual dreams. Sorry…Unless you both have the same dream. 8. Do You Both Want Children? Next one of super-important questions to ask before getting married is whether or not you both want to have kids. This one is a biggie, and it’s often the question that breaks up many previously happy couples. For a lot of us, getting married is a giant step towards starting a family. For this reason, it’s absolutely essential that you know one another’s thoughts on children, before getting down on one knee. If one of you wants children but the other is dead against the idea, there’s little point in getting married and thinking, “Oh, they’ll change their mind.” Unfortunately, they won’t. Most people know by the time they hit their mid-twenties whether they want kids or not. If they don’t or they do, they’re unlikely to ever change their minds. 9. Will You Be Faithful? When we’re young, we’re full of energy and testosterone. We want to go out there and have a great time. We go to parties, get drunk, and we have some fun. If you’re married, your hedonistic days of kissing strangers are over. If this bothers you, and if you know deep down that you will invariably stray once or twice, you should reconsider getting married. Even just a drunken kiss is cheating, and if you know you’ll be way too tempted to embrace another’s lips, it’s probably a case that you’re not yet ready to settle down. 10. Are You Happy With Each Others’ Approach To Health? If you don’t smoke and your partner does, it can be a deal breaker for some couples. Or, if you drink now and then but your partner enjoys getting tanked-up each weekend, it is again something else you need to seriously think about. Health is a long-term investment, and if you get the impression that only you is making the investment, you might want to either have a serious talk with your partner about their approach to their health, or you might want to call it quits. Two contrasting diets rarely work in a marriage. 11. Are You Happy With Your Partner’s Family? There has long been a joke that the husband never gets on with his mother-in-law, but it really does matter that each of you are able to welcome and accept your partner’s family. Once married, you will have to attend their family’s birthdays, gatherings, weddings, vacations and so on. This is a big commitment, so it’s vital that you enjoy their company and get along with them. Do you want to add something else to the list of questions to ask before getting married? Stay happy! |
K.Brule of Big Brother Naija ‘double wahala’ was involved in a car accident that left him unconscious, and he has been hospitalised since the incident. The reality show star was driving on Sunday morning, November 4, at around 6am when his car experienced a blowout. He instinctively applied his brakes but his car spun out of control, somersaulted, and was struck by another vehicle. K Brule became unconscious and was rushed to the hospital where he has now regained consciousness. He said “no lives were lost but both vehicles are total write-offs. He wrote: On Sunday morning the 4th November at around 6am my car experienced a blowout instinctively causing me to apply the brakes, which is the last thing I remember. Eye witnesses say my vehicle spun out and somersaulted over a road divide into oncoming traffic where I was struck by another vehicle causing my car to flip multiple times back across the road divide. Luckily no lives where lost but both vehicles are total write offs. I praise & thank God for being faithful & sparing our lives. Due to the nature of the crash the blame falls on me. & I have no idea how I will pay the damages and hospital bills for the other party as I’m currently owing my own hospital but at least I’m alive to worry about these things ? please keep me in your prayers during these trying times. I may be hard to reach for a while as my phones were destroyed in the crash.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa, in her new vlog, spoke on long term relationships. According to her, dating the same guy for over 5 years and above is just a waste of time. Toke who is divorced from ex-husband, Maje Ayide, said she is talking from experience as she has also being in a long term relationship. She stated that having a long term relationship does not translate to a happy married life when the couple decide to tie the knot. ”I do not understand why you should date someone for more than two and a half years. That is my take. I feel like if you meet someone, two years is decent, two and half years is decent, By three years, its like ‘what again are your trying to find out’. What didn’t you find out in the first and second year. I feel like 5 years is taking the piece and for seven years, you are absolutely having a laugh. By 10 years, it’s like ”are you the lord of the rings? I can say this because I have been in a long term relationship so I can tell you how I feel about it. My answer is no because I feel like often times, long courtships do not translate to a happy marriage. Sometimes you find people who date forever and when they get married, they don’t make it past that year or two or three years. You find people who get married in a year and a half and 10 years down the line, they are still together. When people show you who they are, you have to believe them. If you find yourself in a five year, seven years 10 years relationship, it is enough for you to sit back and ask the guy what is going on and where are we going to? Why would you want to date someone for seven years. In that seven years, some people have gotten together, gotten married, had children, divorced and you are still this person’s girlfriend. There is nothing that you would not find out in three years that you want to find out in eight years.
