Zahra29: Wow. So despite all his shenanigans and (very) ostentatious lifestyle, Tobi Adegboyega of SPAC nation was living without papers, and now he has lost his deportation battle :

Nigerian pastor whose church was shut down over alleged £1.87m fraud loses deportation battle
Mr Adegboyega has lived in the UK unlawfully since overstaying on a visitor’s visa that allowed him to enter Britain in 2005. In 2019, he applied for leave to remain under ECHR’s right to a family life. His application was initially dismissed by a first-tier immigration tribunal before he appealed. Let's await a supporting statement from freeze......... 🤣😂 I bet, he would have offered prayer sessions for people looking up to the home office...... 😂🏡 |

VEHINTOLAR: Good day, Nairalanders.
What do you know about Cheiltv.com? According to the elderly man who introduced this so-called online company to my aunt, he claims he has been in business for more than three months and that the company has never defaulted on payments when due.
To join the company, he said you have to pay a security deposit ranging from N15,000.00 to N20,000,000.00, depending on the level you’re starting from. The scheme has different levels: S1, the lowest level, requires a N15,000.00 security deposit, while S9, the highest level, requires N20,000,000.00. At the S1 level, an employee earns N540.00 per day, totaling N16,200.00 per month, while an employee at the S9 level earns N910,000.00 daily, totaling N27,300,000.00 monthly. The task expected of an employee is to watch certain programs on a dedicated online TV for a few minutes.
This does not sound real to me, but my aunt seems very excited about it and is ready to invest her hard-earned pension! She claims the man who introduced the online company to her was an old colleague and that she trusts him. I feel she is about to be scammed, but she is not listening to me!
What can you say about this online "business"? Have you heard about it before, or do you know anyone who is participating in it, and for how long?
Thank you. Biko, tell your aunty not to invest in this ponzi scheme....... It's bound to end in tears and might put her heart and sanity at risk....... Remember MMM, MBA forex and similar schemes..... They all ended up the same way..... |

Peerielass: Convince me that the BIB is such a great deal. The accountant in me sees that as a waste of money. If I set aside £75 every month in a 5% interest savings account, I will have enough funds to replace any fridge/freezer or TV that breaks down. We used to have a breakdown cover/extended warranty for white goods but I cancelled it as I couldn’t justify paying into something that I might never use for the foreseeable future. Instead we keep an emergency fund for such things. The accountant in you, does not sync with the lack of discipline in me, to set aside the funds on a regular.... To meet the need, when it arises...... Nothing beats the peace of mind in me, knowing that if my washing machine or tumble drier is BER tomorrow, a FREE replacement is around the corner (well, not free as in free)...... 😊😁😂 I have electrical goods that are not insured, like soundbars (because I deem them irrelevant to insure)...... 🙄 |

kwakudtraveller: Won’t the claims increase your premium? The reason I would not use content home insurance, for certain claims..... 🏡😂 But have a bespoke policy, for certain electrical/electronic devices...... 😎 Infact, after this recent TV claim, my policy is now much cheaper (on the new TV)..... 😂📺 |

elengine: Wow. This is interesting. So the content insurance is really worth it because anything may happen.
So from the above, I can see that the ridiculously low premium I will be paying😆 for building and content insurance is more like a compensation for the relatively high premiums on my car insurance.
Thank you Oga Lexus. I know your NCD is what seperates you from the boys like me. I am less than 2 years in UK and I guess that rate is probably one of the best😆 for people at my level but when this expires next year, I would be hard on them cos my aim will be to cut it by half. The content insurance is good, incase you are broken into or certain devices go faulty...... But you can also take a separate cover, via domestic general to cover all your electronic goods...... Even my cordless hoover is protected (I have also received 2 free replacement cordless hoovers)...... I don't joke with insurance policies...... 😁😂 |

elengine: Hello everyone. So my broker got me a building only insurance quote for 57 pounds per month.I got 24 pounds per month via compare go. Then I remember that it could be cheaper with my car insurance provider. So I tried admiral and I was given 20 pounds per annum. The reason I guess is because I have two cars insured with them.
Currently I pay 199 pounds for two cars and having added building insurance , I would now be paying 208k. This includes content, emergency repairs. It is still doing me like a magic. My question is, do people pay as low as this. If not so I can get more clarity from them and be sure the cover is for building.
I am waiting for the policy update on the app so I can verify it is actually true.
Thanks. I currently pay £420 per annum for 2 vehicles + £180 building and content insurance...... 😁 (fully comprehensive), on both vehicles...... 😎 I also have extra insurance for all my white goods, TV etc etc...... The TV in my bedroom, developed a white thin vertical line last week, I phoned D&G, technician visited today, wrote TV off today ..... Getting a free replacement next week..... 😊 For all white goods, TV cover etc etc , I pay about £75 extra pcm..... 😁 (Got my Double fridge & freezer + washing machine replaced already).... 😁

EJIOGBENIMI: If affordability is not an issue, is there any possible way a married individual can exclude his/her partner in the mortgage? And in such situation, does the other partner have to be involved if the property need to be sold in future? If that house is deemed a family home, the starting point in times of financial dispute starts at 50/50....... Both would now have to argue positions, in front of a judge..... This is why I advocate financial inclusion, rather than exclusion....... |
