Viruses: I applied for visit visa for mother in-law in Dec of last year and paid for passport delivery service via courier. On 20th/12, I got an email from VFS global, Ikeja that a decision has been reached and that the passport has been sent out for delivery via courier. No delivery details, tracking or delivery timeframe was provided.
It's almost a month and we haven't received the passport. I have since raised a complaint and the response after providing all the information they requested is that they will provide feedback "once they hear" from the team handling the matter.
In other to know what actions to take next (including getting a new passport and applying for another visa), I need closure on this matter.
I am considering legal actions and need insight on possible outcomes should I go this route.
What kind of case will it be, civil or?
There were no terms and conditions to read while adding the delivery service, there was just an option to add insurance in case of missing items which I didn't take. In the rare case that the passport is lost, Do I have a case against VFS Global Ikeja?
Seeing that the visa vignette may expire after 3 months and I need ample time to plan the trip including getting items and booking flight all of which the dearth of the passport is precluding me from, how long should I escalate and exhaust the internal procedures of VFS Global before seeking legal recourse?
Thanks in anticipation of your responses. Why not pay a physical visit, to the couriers depot...... |

deept: Increase the tax on television manufacturers and sellers Never say Never....... 😁😂 The average lifespan of a television set, is between 8/15 years (I think)...... They would have to charge about 15 years of TV licence fee, from each TV sale.... That TV set would be so expensive, no reasonable person would buy any TV set....... That defeats the purpose....... 🤣😂 |

It's totally dependent on the rental company, but most would require 12 months validaty + clean (without endorsements)...... He doesn't like the mortage plans of 10% down payment.
Anyone with useful information regarding this especially realtors or those who have researched about this or bought a property in Uk recently.
Also is it a good property investments that worth it?
Thanks for your insights. The most important evidence that is required, is documentary proof of funds...... If this is 100% intact, no cause for concern........ |

Zahra29: The last time we had mass building of truly affordable homes was when the government spearheaded the building of hundreds of thousands of social homes post WWII. Since the 1980s, the UK has undergone significant shifts in our housing landscape. During this era, housing delivery largely transferred from the public sector to private developers. This monumental change has created a gaping void in the supply of affordable housing, contributing to the housing crisis we see today.
Labour has confirmed that they will stick to the existing orthodoxy and will rely on the private sector to build the new homes. They haven't yet confirmed what percentage of new homes developers will be required to allocate for affordable/social housing. The current requirement is only 10%. This figure needs to be much higher to meet affordable housing targets but such conditions will likely discentivise many private developers, and others will simply find a way around it as they have done for many years. Lavida is absolutely right that private developers want maximum profit at the end of the day.
Another issue is quality. Many new builds are not built to the same standard as older homes due to cutting corners to maximise profit. Imagine what the quality would be for privately built affordable homes (which in itself sounds a bit like an oxymoron). Imagine what the new builds would look like in 100 years...... 😁😂 |
