They both believe in the social wellbeing of their people. They both invested heavily in education and health care as Governors.

Awolowo made the SW the first in education in Nigeria. Hence the SW produced the most respected professors in Nigeria.

Peter Obi took Anambra state from 26th to first in education. Hence the state produced the world champions in a science tournament in Silicon Valley.

Awolowo never seized control of the government and treasury of any SW state like Tinubu.
