My advice to those that Change their address @ de port of Entry to a new address and is expecting to get their Green Card at the new address
make sure u call them also.
Changing ur address @de port of entry alone may not work.A friend of mine that came earlier to changed is addy @port of entry and the GC was still sent to the Old addy.This also happened to me so pls take note.

Conditional LPR status doesn't apply to Diversity Visa immigrants; it only applies to people who become LPRs through a recent marriage (less than two years ago) and their children. Diversity Visa immigrants are LPRs as soon as they're admitted. Sorry about that -- I was in too much of a hurry this morning!

Are you asking how many years it takes for a DV winner to become an American citizen? Well, winners are Legal Permanent Residents from the beginning (conditional at first), and then they go through the naturalization process. It generally takes around... five years? Is there anyone reading this who has already done it, who could tell us?

Fortsucc: Here is my experience. I was the primary applicant why my husband was the beneficiary no child yet. Our interview was on the 13th of Sept. Which we were reschedule to on the 16th of sept. This time around it was black that interviewed us, I was called to window 8 which is a room and I was interview first for about one hour. I was told to call my spouse and he was interview in the same room for about Ten minute why I stay outside, he later came out and told me that they said we should stay outside till they call us again. It was like ten minutes later when they called us at the window,they now gave us a refusal letter which it was written attempted human smugling. And of which it was my husband surname that was written on my NYSC certificate, so they now said it was a forge and they didn't give me my original document back, so we accepted it like that. When it was on the 18th of Sept around 1:00pm a number called me and the was from embassy asking us to come back on Monday with my parent and spouse parent's picture which we took along with us on Monday,so they have done some verification on my NYSC certificate which they now confirm that I was truely married to him and that the document was not forged, it was also the same window 8 that I was interview again for about 30 minutes during the interview they went into our facebook account with out asking of our user name and our password that surprise me a lot, so they also interview my spouse again. We were told to go out, we sat for about 10minutes they called us back and they said congratulation,welcome to America and they collected our passports that we should come and collect our visa in a week time. That was my experience to cut the whole story short. It was victory at last, I really thank for making it a success.

Congrats just lik our interview. Windows 8, facebook account check, I spent 45min n wifey over 1 hour seperately. We got dere 5.45am n left 5.00pm same day. We were d last applicants in d hall. We were so api after approval we forgot all our certificates. We wnt back d ff day tho. Its d toughest interview of my life n I respected us embassy cs if we were nt truly married n in a real relatnship dey wulda busta us. Congrats again.

pakholla: Pls I av try asking this question in dv 2013 forum but no reply I know u guys will answa for me am sorry if I may ask an agent told me I can't register for the dv lottery until am 18 years of age and I try confusing him by 2015 I will be 19 years of age if I apply for dv 2015 pls am discourage and also want to hear from the mouth of u guys and I av my educational result for me to qualify. That's not true, age is not a requirement but you must have at least 5 credit in your O levels to qualify. Hope this ans your question.

I arrived @ d embassy exactly 4.45am,infact,d cab I boarded dropped me after d embassy,so I had 2 walk down 2 d embassy treking.To d glory of God I met buh few peep @ dat moment,within som few min,t looked as if d earth were loosed as many peep started trooping.if I cld count d num xactly,we cld be up to 300 in numbers btw 5.30 up as many were stil trooping.To d glory of we did all d security checks,infact d checkings isn't a child play o......buh e ws for our gud and accuracy in documentations.I also Met a woman who works in d embassy connected to me by Geenlion,she ws so helpful and all thanks goes to GEENLION.After all said and done,We matched to d Main hall for proper preparations,paid d visa fee,submitted my Documents @ window 17 and my num beepped @ window 16,an old handsome man,buh before dat I saw a slim young man who issued visas so easily without much querries and I ws praying to God to be called on dat same window,which is window 14,well to God glory d window 16 called my num and ds hw d interview went thus:

faithman2020: Got to the exaltly 5:00am but was disappointed becos we were the second family to arrive as we have to wait for a long while before screening actually starts.
My wife was turned back twice for carrying baby oil and later vaseline for the baby.paid $1320 for four of us cannot remember the window again Our documents was collected by the woman with low cut and she was the one that assisted my wife in entry when she asked to go and start the line again.my letter of introduction,appointment letter,ican & aipm certificate was not collected and only one photocopy each was collected.
The young guy at window 15 denied a couple and 2 other guys were asked to come back because of insufficient document.
the black lady on window 14 was giving out visa without caution.while window 16 was very busy arranging document for almost long while not knowing it was our document he was battling with.

hituneu: My husband and I left Festac as early as 3:59 am this morning and we got to the embassy around 4:23 am,infact we were the first to arrive there,around 6 am we were all called for searching and the remaining process followed,we got to the main hall and paid 109 thousand naria for the fee(as this was going on all I was saying to myself is God please dont let this money go in vain o )we waited till our document was collected and the main item was worth waiting for,we sat for hours,the guy on window 14 was giving visa to people as if it was water,the lady at window 16 was so sluggish and the main oga at window 15 was terribly denying couples espically those without children and young ones,when it got to our number ,hmmmmm come and see us firing prayer for this Man

iScamfieil: Our joy in this forum shall be full. I specially congratulate all that got their visas approved and hoping to hear the best* good news as the remaining of us go for their share.
I arrived Texas yesterday safely. It was a sweet trip I must say. I used Emirates. we left Nija at about 9:15pm and got to Dubai 7:35am local time (they are 3hrs ahead of nija), boarded the connecting flight and we departed for Houston in less than 2 hrs and I stepped my feet in the land of Opportunities 3:35pm local time (nija is 6hrs ahead).
I went tru the process of submitting my sealed envelope-- signature and thumb print. That took like 30mins cos of no of ppl for same. after that I went down to claim my luggage, then I walked down to the arrival hall and just in 10mins time, my sister and her kids appeared to pick me up.

Thanks to you all for ur unclassified efforts.
The Lord that started this good project in my life since 1st May 2012 Has just finalized it, and I shout PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Our God has still not left the throne!

My interview was successful. I got to the embassy 4:18am, waited till 6:20 before we queue according to the type of visa and appointment time. After the security checks, we were ushered into interview hall, paid $330, tendered my credentials and waited close to 2 hours for my turn. People with kids were first attended to before adults. My interview was short and simple. I was interviewed by the handsome young guy on window 15. He was nice to me and asked me questions relating to my about my education. Below is my conversation with him:

CO: Good morning
Me: Good morning sir (with a smile)
CO: I will like to take your finger print
Me: finger print capture.
I raised my right hand and oath was administered.

CO: details of your education with date
Me: bbbbbbbbbbb
CO: Have you ever been married?
CO: any kid?
Me: No
CO: Congratulations.

He gave me two white papers, indicating where to pick up my visa and how to pay the $165.
That's is it o. Na so I just happy comot for the embassy.

sendtodeji: For folks interested in obtaining training and are concerned about the cost, you should contact the nearest WIA (Workforce Investment Act). They might be able to fund your much desired training/education. WIA is a federal government program operated through the states. Your training provider has to be registered with WIA for them to agree to pay your tuition.

After the check in, i paid my 54,500, i was called @ window 17 to submit my document. I note something, whn submitting your document its wat they ask U to bring u shld submit, i try giving her my testimonial n my work appointment letter cos am using GCE.. Bt the lady didn't collect them.. She said only my GCE and birth certificate both original n fotocopy with m medical, police character...

The more information you have, the better of you will be. Don't stop asking questions. When asking questions, ask from those who know. When I got here, I was advised to take up nursing even though I had HND in Computer Science. I was told that IT jobs have been outsourced to Asia. When I met the right people, they pointed me in the right direction. I've had opportunity to interact with people several years after they arrived in this country. When I ask them what they do for a living and what they had qualifications in, I'm always shocked that they were misled. There's a lot of misinformation going around. Don't fall victim to such. The Bible says in Prov. 11:14 "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." I beseech thee to seek good counsel.

kaygee1977: Dear Forum...I was interviewed today...my interview was smooth until the CO kept asking if i am sure that I am single due to previous Non Immigrants Visa Applications I have done in the past as far back as 2004 and 2007 that was denied consecutively...I have been put on further administrative process. I was given a contact sheet to fill...my relative, friend and neighbour must also fill to do a cross check on my marital status as single. I have told the CO that I am single. I have sent the filled form as directed. Please support me in Prayers for God's purpose to be fulfilled in my life. Amen. I believe strongly in the Lord and I will keep standing in my faith for my visa to be granted. The CO said it is just a cross examination that I am not denied... Thank you as you support me in Prayers. God bless us.

When did yu send ur d forms u filled to KCC after receiving 1st NL? Yu shuld v bin scheduled if u sent d forms early cs ur Case number is low.

First n for most ur case number is low guess u sent d forms late. Cos our case number is 160**. As a matter of fact c CO didn't ask y we married early but jst needed a prove relationshp is real. Weddn pic, courtship pix, facebook uploads datn back to 2 yrs ago n also facebook chats dating back to 2 yrs ago too. My wifes hospital reciepts bearing my my family name, honey pictures. We operate joint acct n printed out statement aldoe it wasn't asked. And lastly God. Some peeps had d interview very easy ours was jst a lil bit challengin. House pls contributions
