The lockdown order will be most effective in the capital and popular cities. Only civil servants and office people will wholeheartedly obey the order The lockdown order will only be effective in the first few days. The government knows and the governed know. |
There's nothing Tribune will write that will change the narrative. The mere fact that the President of Chad was even pictured with the troop possibly in their base coupled with the magnitude of success recorded by the troop against the Boko Haram has already put Nigeria and her leader in bad light. Nigeria too need to record a massive assault on the Boko Haram members for their latest carnage. Stop setting their arrested members free on the pretence of de-radicalization. Only then will Tribune be able to spin the narrative. |
Ok |
I wish they can wait till it's confirmed before making it public. We don't want a repeat of what Mr. Trump's premature declaration of chloroquine caused the other time. |
...and China comes to the rescue. Isn't this wonderful? The post Covid era will be full of intrigues. |

Bigflamie:You seems not to understand. The disbursement by the FG should have started in places affected by the ordered lockdown by the same FG, even if it is Anambra, Bayelsa or Kogi. Do you now understand? |
I've also queried why the disbursement has to start up North when the lockdown is ordered in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun. The government should have shown some semblance of concern by starting the disbursement in the affected states first. Sadly, while the FG is giving #10k to individual households in areas not yet affected by lockdown, Lagos and Ogun government are giving less than a quarter of bag of rice to a whole community in the name of relief materials as seen on various threads here. |
I saw something similar from a thread about the relief material sent to a community of 60 households in Ogun that can barely feed an household of 4 for one week. Every community that got this embarrassment of a relief material should immediately and resoundingly reject it. Let them identify and take care of the vulnerables amongst them. It is obvious the government which has no reliable data cannot be efficient in distributing any relief material. |
Maybe they didn't beg for it initially. The govt of Eritrea has to be sure it has the ability to contain the spread of the disease in the country before rebuffing offer of help. ...and if there is any intelligence they have regarding the safety of the materials, they'll do well to share with other countries o. |

It even become more hypocritical when you compare how they abundantly share rice during election and festive periods to their supporters with the nonsense they're doing now. |
Laos1:I'll suggest that the community members take it upon themselves to take care of these old and vulnerable people through personal commitments. Even the FG conditional transfer may not reach them, hope you know. The materials over there is what is called ' isonu' The government will still go ahead to announce that they've given your community Covid-19 relief materials and you dare not day otherwise. Let them know how you feel without pretence. |
Laos1:That should be outrightly rejected my brother. This is shameful. What community is this? |
Now the OP has to be clear. Is this for the whole community of 60 houses OR for one house out of the 60 houses. ..and what community is this? |
Trudaeu should look towards Aba and Cross River in Nigeria. Give them the specification and they'll do wonders shortly. But seriously, isn't Canada developed enough to produce their own facemasks? Desperate times require desperate measures. |

Do people truly believe this 5G rumor? |
The CRA overstepped its boundary. Akintola gives it back hot. Except you already have a skewed mindset about Akintola and what he represents, you've got to give him thumps up for this. Live and let's live. |
It's Sahara Reporters, the story may be true. Law enforcement agents need to learn the use of rubber bullets and pepper sprays to disperse rioters. Not everything should result in death. |
I'll dismiss this until there's a credible source. However if it comes out true, one needs to first confirm the situation of the supposed isolation center. If it's conducive and they chose to abscond, then they should be punished adequately. |
Does the government need ventilators at this moment? Yes Can Innoson produce the ventilators? Maybe Yes Are the ventilators readily available in the market? Obviously No Does the government have the money Innoson is requesting for? Absolutely Yes! My Advice If Innoson is sure he can produce the ventilators within the stipulated time, the government should try him with half of what he demands (#2b). If he's able to deliver, pay him to produce more. Not just for Nigeria, maybe for Africa. it's win-win for both parties. There's absolutely no need for this back and forth bickering between the parties. |
Haaa! |
For whatever they do, people in the remote areas should be considered. |
It's not just about his courage, it's the courage of the women and their families to get involved in the whole drama. I salute them. If he hasn't broken any law, good for him. |
You can't hurl insults at Buhari, castigate Rochas and then says it's normal for Akeredolu. No, it's hypocrisy and double standard. This is one of the reasons these private individuals should find a way to donate their money and materials directly to the vulnerables and not through government. |
No need to fight over facemask. Let them come to Aba and Cross River in Nigeria. |
That's swift and commendable. He'll wish he never made that video. |
Over 1 billion naira. About 200 million naira About 700 - 800 million naira... When they start giving figures in such undefined values, just know that shit is about to go down . |
I give thumps up to anyone who makes donations towards easing people's pains in this critical period. I just wish that these private individuals can find a means of directly giving these materials to the needy without involving the government officials. Who would have thought they could steal from the fund and materials meant for the IDPs? |
Why should Nigeria import the face/nose mask? Why? All states should be able to mass produce these things with standard regulations. Thumps up to Abia and Cross River. It can only get better with patronage. |
There are ways to say the truth diplomatically, yet the import wouldn't be lost. Mr. Bashir might be right but he made it look like he has an issue with Inosson. |
