Sanni himself knows he would be lucky to get the senatorial ticket let alone the guber ticket |
At this juncture, some people aren't worried any longer about whether the building 'contravenes' any building plan or not but the sheer and brazen disrespect and disregard for the court of law and telling barefaced lies thereafter. The court must begin to affirm it's authority if it's to be taken serious. |
Oshiomole is about to get busy with enough distractions to contend with from the home front. It might be that as he's plotting to remove Saraki, some elements in the party might also be plotting to remove him. |
Ok |
The conditions for Saraki's removal are explicit enough except for those who wants to be mischievous, set bad precedence and possibly plunge the nation into unnecessary and avoidable chaos. Some people do not like Saraki but wouldn't shut their eyes and voice to the invitation to the rape of constitution as being championed by Oshiomole. |
Same thing played out in Ogun State in 2011. The new government of Amosun disengaged the recruited workers after almost three months in service without paying them a dime! I wish those to be recruited good luck but they should not rejoice yet until they receive the first alert under Fayemi. |
Hope you didn't spill the beans and betray your source, Mr. Ogundipe. Every tyranny has an expiry date |
If Uncle Lai isn't part of this government, would he also have believed that the violent Boko Haram would be gentlemen enough to return abducted girls free of charge? Since when have Book Haram that is notorious for killing and maiming innocent souls become responsible enough to care about moral burden? In any case, since the government now know the Boko Haram well enough to have signed a cease fire agreement with them, can they just reach agreement with them to end terrorism altogether? Now we know who doesn't have moral principle. |
Some of these innovations from 'a group of university students' give clear indication of the quality of university education in those countries. If Nigeria is to develop, education has to be properly and adequately funded. I'll love to see Yinka Ayefele walk again. |
I am surprised that the National Chairman of a major political party will be the one issuing statements capable of further heating up the polity. The requirement for the impeachment of Saraki is explicit, doing anything contrary to the dictates of the constitution is not just invitation to anarchy but setting a bad precedence. The irony is that same people that commended and encouraged Tambuwal in 2014 are the ones crying blue murder over Saraki's action in 2018. If that isn't hypocrisy, I don't know what to call it. Nigerians shouldn't see this as APC and PDP thing but a struggle to prevent and frustrate forces of retrogression and anti democratic elements. Many of us aren't even sympathetic to Saraki and PDP as there is obviously no difference between them all. |
There we go again with another conspiracy theory. They hardly take responsibilities for their actions. |
I cannot agree less. If Daura is not hounded and charged for treason, then he might not have acted alone as being speculated. |
Ok |
It appears the sins of Daura have found him out and he is going down as the fall guy. The IGP shouldn't rejoice yet, someone has his dossier too, ditto for Magu. The more they spin this, the more it becomes hard to believe. What would Daura gain by supporting Saraki againt PMB that appointed him? It's funny though how the Executive suddenly becomes concerned about the security breach at the NASS so much that it has to throw one of its own under the bus. Where was the Executive when the NASS was invaded and mace carted away? Nigerians should guard the democracy and never allow some vultures return the country back to the dark days. |
When the state apparatus are deployed to fight personal and political battles, then we all should be worried irrespective of party affiliation. Soon when the condemnation of this act by EFCC attracts international attention, a scape goat will be thrown under the bus as a mole working against the government. This government should be careful of the kind of precende they're setting. Let them be reminded that power is indeed transient and they could be at the other end of the table sooner than expected. |
Oj |
Whoever ordered the deployment of the DSS to the NASS this morning is obviously not interested in the peaceful reconvening of the Senators. We may not like the law makers but then the National Assembly shouldn't be exposed to such ridicule for the sake of our democracy. Do we know who stole the mace yet? Democracy seems to be under threat in Nigeria. |
All forces bent to truncate Democracy in Nigeria and return her to the dark eras SHALL be disgraced |
Uncle Lai should just know when to maintain silence except if he thinks we're all gullible. While not stampeding the government into taking rash decisions, Lai must know that the severity of Adesoun's case demands that quick decision be made to salvage what is left of the already dented integrity of the administration. In any case, why should it take NYSC eternity to confirm whether Kemi's certificate is genuine or counterfeit and also explain the rational behind issuing the certificate to Kemi when she isn't qualified for it. |
Why would the 'crooked and corrupt' souls who bled us to recession be allowed to join the 'saintly' APC. |
Someone just whisper into PMBs ear that fighting corruption also involves other sundry malfeasances like forgery. If only 2019 campaing would be issue based, how is he going to campaign on anti-corruption with Kemi's case as an albatross hanging on his neck. |
Even if SERAP invokes the FOI, NYSC won't comply. The worst SERAP could do is to drag NYSC to court but even at that, NYSC may likely not obey the Court orders. We have precedence. The certificate scandal will obviously die a natural death soon when no one talks about it any longer. |
All politics is local. It is almost certain that PMB and Oshiomole might not be able to save Sanni from the claws of El Rufai who is bent on pushing him out of APC and replacing him at the NASS. He might later regret his decision to backtrack on the defection plan as earlier announced by his colleagues |
Fayemi is crying foul, Eleka is crying foul. The INEC boss and his men in that state must be under serious tension from all quarters now |
The FG is making it seem as though Dasuki is held to settle personal old scores and not for the alleged mismanagement of the security funds Democracy will not grow when the Executive finds it convenient to disregarr and disrespect the other arms of the government. |
If you Tanbuwal mi, I will Dogara you. APC should just let it slide. You can't hail Tambuwal in 2014 and condemn Dogara in 2018 for the same act. It's call double standard. |
If those people have demonstrated competence, and have shown their loyalty to Nigeria, they shouldn't be sacrificed on the alter of bitter politics. In any case, has Mama Taraba who openly declared his loyalty to Atiku been sacked yet? |
How convenient is it for people to just concoct some piece of trash and put a respected person's name against it just to attract attention and publicity. |
Now the circus is about to start again. Same way countless SANs were hired during his asset declaration case . But who will blame Saraki when a certain President also hired intimidating number of SANs just to battle ordinary O'level certificate case. It's hightime the legal profession body took a decision on the number of lawyers that could be hired per case before the SAN title finally loses its respect. |
ElRufai was once vociferous in disparaging GMB. Now he's a self acclaimed Buharist Elrufai was a lead antagonist of GEJs treatment of the Shi'ites and went as far as paying homage to their leader. Now we know who's whipping the Shi'ites man now. Let's not even talk about his relationship with both OBJ and Atiku. |
Mr. Chairman talking tough. If PMB leaves APC today, Oshiomole will still abuse him. No one wants to preside over a disintegrating party but the crack has been left unattended to for long. |
The first thing I did was to check the source , and as anticipated, it's Premium Times! Can Premium Times maintain this tempo and fit in the shoes of Sahara Reporters? Time will tell. As for PMB, he isn't very much different from past rulers. The only thing he enjoys is the hero worshiping in the North and perhaps the image laudering by the media in the South. |
