Abati is only trying to pass a message that only the discerning minds can understand |
I hope the Editor read through the piece before being published. These are hard times for anyone to get sacked or thrown under the bus to pacify anyone who might feel offended. Apologies accepted in advance. |
He should be able to meet the requirement easily. The problem, however, is that he might be rearrested immediately after meeting those conditions. It does not appear that the government wants him roaming free, however little it might be. Those who are goading the government on the violation of fundamental human right and disregard for court orders should realise that those who hold the handle of the sword today may find themselves at the other end of the same sword tomorrow. Dasuki should not go scot-free if he indeed helped himself and his cronies with public fund, just let his prosecution be done within the ambit of the law |

Viola! The unfortunate guy has been thrown under the bus as the fall guy The DSS should quiz him and prosecute him for such reckless unprofessional conduct capable of setting the country ablaze. In that case, he would reveal the source of his information to the judge and to Nigerians. While at it, the DSS should also endeavor to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the unending carnage in North Central |
PDP or any other concerned party should not challenge APC on the pages on newspapers. If anyone is convinced that Oshiomole's 'selection' is a breach of the electoral act, such person or group of persons should immediately approach the court for the sake of our democracy. |
One would have expected that after the close-door meeting with the president and the Dogara, the trio would address a press conference and MANDATE the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators within 48 hours. |
In saner climes, Mallam Ciroma should actually be explaining this to the Police and probably his lawyer enroute the court. |
In the contrary, Nigerians should be concerned about the treatment meted out to Oby. This isn't about the usual GEJ -PMB tantrums, it is about the clampdown on her fundamental human right to protest the unabated senseless killings, which should have, in a sane clime, attract serious backslashes. It could be anybody's turn next time. Oby deserves commendations for condemning Jonathan's cluelessness and Buhari's ultra misrule. It takes courage to do so. |
Not again |
I really do not think it's appropriate to charge the candidates for post utme. Any institution that feels JAMB hasn't done a good job should be at liberty to conduct own assessment at no extra burden on the candidates. Mr. Minister sir, please watch out for some institutions that will charge #2000 for post utme in compliance with the directive and then charge additional #3000 or more for portal access or any other nomenclature they deem fit. |
Someone once said PMB should just begin to put on Military uniform so that Nigerians would know we're back to the totalitarian regime. The unabated killings in the Middle Belt is regrettable and exposes the government as being complicit and incompetent. However, employees should learn how and when to draw the lines between criticism and ethics of profession. What this person is still doing after the query appears highly unprofessional. I sympathise with him as I hope the public court favors him. |
The Governors who will gift land for ranches to please their master should remember that Jos was once a peaceful and serene state. |
I hope this isn't how the Chairman intends to run the affairs of the party Make pronouncement first on emotions before considering the legal implications. Why not effect the change in the party's constitution first. |
I've always maintained that using the National resources to placate some people and cater for their private business is a very bad idea that stinks of selfishness. The Bank of Industry, Bank of Agriculture and other financial institutions can give soft loans to herders to set up ranches. Most disturbing is the idea of setting up the ranches across the nation. Of course, the Governors who want favours from the presidency would be more than willing to gift the ancestral land of their people to the ranchers. We are a people that forgets history easily. Twenty, thirty years to come, these ranchers will definitely begin to lay claim to the lands. Jos is still a sore case. The Killer Herdsmen are terrorists and should be treated so. |
Anyone that has done or is about doing anything that could threaten the security of the country should be picked up, including the sponsors of the killer herdsmen. The DSS should not be seen to have been cowed by any ethno-religious and political narratives. What Nigerians should be clamoring for is the prompt prosecution of such arrested people. |
The Supreme Court should give a ruling on wether the NASS has the right to alter the budget proposal submitted by the Executive. Even though a rubber stamp legislature is inimical to our democracy, so also is a gluttonous NASS. |
Why isn't Israel in the World Cup? |
It will take a miracle for APC to come out of this convention unscathed. The idea of consensus candidates may not be the panacea for the unending tussle in the party. Welcome on board, Com Adams |
The same Yaradua dynasty? Congratulations to the two love birds though. |
BOI. What's up with the YES-P? Any beneficiary yet? |
What is there to swear about, Sheik? It 's a common knowledge. |
They could have at least used cardboards of different colours. |
AD died in 2003 and was intered when Tinubu dumped it for AC. As for Osoba, he has been retired by Amosun and should simply respect himself by quiting partisan politics and become an elder statemam |
How time flies! Same OBJ that was dubbed the Navigator by APC in 2015 has now turned the Tormentor in 2018. |
Where is the candidate contesting for the election? Where is Eleka? Fayose is making it seems like the contest is between him and Fayemi whereas he is not going to be on the ballot.. |
I hope he stops taking the immoral security vote as well. Otherwise, this is a lame attempt at shirking responsibilities. However, it's hightime we revisited the idea of State Police if we must stop dancing round a circle. |
The infamous grass cutter deserves no blame. It is the one who shields him away from prosecution that should be blamed. It is even repugnant that the sanctimonious 'corruption fighter' admonished Nigerians a while ago not to glorify thieves while he still secretly hobnobs with known treasury looters. Anyone who uses millions to cut grass in IDP camps where the inhabitants are in penury is callous and inhuman, not worthy of association with the highest office in the land. |
I'm surprised the Aso-ebi for the Russia trip isn't trending like Ebuka's Agbada. |
It seems Sowore's struggle back then has conferred a special franchise on June on him. |
Anyone and everyone that works with Abacha, including his PTF boss, should be held culpable for the incarceration and eventual demise of Abiola. |
Say no more Prof else.. Sexual harassment accusations are still flying around, remember. |
