Very well articulated points. Apart from the expected insults and tantrums from well known quarters, no one has been able to puncture the OP's points I wish the 2019 campaign could be issue-based and devoid of childish abuses. |
ghen ghen! The battle line drawn. The unresolved internal wranglings in APC will be her major undoing. Zamfara gone, Rivers weakened and many more likely to follow. A clear case of people who can't manage success. |
Ok |
Labour should have instead agitated for the drastic reduction in cost of governance and cost of maintaining the politicians. This will benefit the masses and not some privileged workers. Also, why not agitate for measures and policies that will bring inflation down. Take the minimum wage to 100k and watch inflation render it useless in a matter of months. Then the cycle begins again. |
First they deny vehemently Then they deny subtly And then they renege, recant their vows and give reasons. Politicians are not to be trusted. Every politician has a price. Who would have thought that Akpabio will ever ditch the umbrella and join the broom welding people. |
Eiya. After trying very hard to please the party with the usual anti-GEJ rhetorics Now they have scammed the man with the yahoo yahoo primary. Accept my sympathy. |
globemoney:Buhari? NYSC? A joke? |
0monnak0da:They can all kiss public service goodbye. One wonders what Adebayo Shittu is still doing as a minister of the Federal Republic. |
A bird at hand they say, is worth a thousand in the bush Wike would rather direct his arsenal towards winning a second term as the Governor of the oil rich River state than gamble with a 50-50 VP ticket. He however should be able to have a great input into who becomes the VP. |
Nothing is impossible. It could as well be Pastor Tunde Bakare |
If only GNI can position himself properly, all these rumbling in both APC and PDP must be to his advantage. |
Good for him again. Otherwise ElRufai would have seen to his humiliation |
forgiveness:This, my brother, is the plain truth. I have been wondering where Amosun's sense of equality was in 2011 when he contested and won against two Yewa candidates. The arrangement then was that Ogun is largely divided into Egba/Egbado and Ijebu/Remo. It is wrong for him to attempt to blackmail or force his self serving Yewa Agenda down the throat of party members. No man should play God . The much he could have done was to persuade other party members to buy into his idea or throw the contest open while covertly supporting his candidate like Ajimobi did in Oyo. Well, he should leave Abuja and go back home to restrategise. You win some ,you lose some. |
Yari should watch it else he might receive Saraki, Dino treatment from the police for 'unlawful' protest. The days of peaceful protest seems gone |
Security Agents should be on high alert in Ogun State too. The disputed APC gubernatorial primary has also resulted into flashes of violence in some parts of the state |
So the delegates were not even up to 2000. What were they doing for two days? Sanwo Eko was elected by over 900 000 delegates who are possibly going to vote in the election proper. From a layman's view, the election has been won and lost already except Lagosians come to his rescue. |
Gradually APC is returning Ogun back into the PDP dark days when violence and thuggery reigned. |
Ehn? Laelae it can't happen. Not even after he has helped them to tame Saraki a bit. A clear case of used and dump. |
Trouble loading. The desperation of the state governor to foist his anointed candidate, Akinlade, on the party is the cause of this confusion. Who blinks first? |
The battle has been lost and won ab initio. That's the will of the party members and Ambode had better respect that. However, if he feels he's popular and has the clout, he has the option of joining any other party |
Amosun represented Ogun Central under PDP from 2003 -2007. He only decamped to ANPP to contest the gubernatorial election against the then incumbent, Gbenga Daniel of PDP to whom he lost. The governor ought to pick a battle at a time, trying to install a successor and at the same time running for the Senate with the eye on Senate Presidency will definitely stretch him. |
Amosun , Fayemi and Akeredolu will do anything to curtail Tinubu's overbearing influence in their states and perhaps in the South West. That Osinbajo has joined the gang is what I find hard to believe. |
Good for him. His Sai Babarism finally paid off. Hope he has made peace with El-Rufai. Its left for his constituent to determine his fate. |
Interesting times ahead. The events of the past days have revealed that Ambode is just a mere stooge and lame duck with no single structure of his own. He can't even touch a stand of hair on the Deputy's head because the Assembly men aren't on his side. It is even more glaring that most of the commisioners were dumped on him hence their loyalty lie somewhere else. If he wants to fight dirty, the highest he can do now is to reshuffle the cabinet and ease out the 'treacherous' appointees but I sincerely doubt he has that gut. |
See confusion, claims and counter claims everywhere just because of primary election . This is a bad omen for 2019 general election. |
Are they still on this? I thought events have overtaken it. But come to think of it, why should appearing before the senate or before the police be subject to litigation. |
So this is the best the party could come up with after series of postponement of the primary election or it it selection. I'm afraid of what extent this people could during the next general election should the result begin to the unfavorable to them |
After series of postponement, now the election or selection is canceled. To even think this same party will conduct the general election next year should worry everyone. |
If this is true, then Okorocha is demystified |
Benz4pimp:I'll be the last person to take side in this imbroglio between the godfather and his son cos I won't be there when they'll meet behind the curtain to settle the rift. However let it be known that Lagos wasn't an Eldorado when Tinubu reigns, as a matter of fact, we can still remember how Oshodi used to look like pre Fashola era. I'm just curious to know what sins Ambode must have committed to have been subjected to such ridicule by people of his party. Even Hitler has his Lieutenant till the last days. |
Haba! What exactly could have been the sin(s) of Ambode? It's worth knowing because at this rate everyone is dumping him, something greatly must be amiss. It's understandable if the deputy moves against him, what about the LG and LCDA Chairmen including the councilors? Is he such a dumb stooge and a lame duck? Worst still are the Commissioners and other political appointees he himself appointed now moving against him. Could he have been a terrible fellow or what? Why bother contest the primary when the structure is evidently in the opponent's pocket? |
This is humiliating. |
