mistarsam:Tah! You no catch me for this one ![]() The phrase "ventilate your grievances" is grammatically correct and can be used to mean "express your complaints or problems openly." However, it is not a very common or colloquial phrase and may sound a bit formal or outdated in some contexts. In more casual speech, people might say "air your grievances" instead. |
Which one is 'Peoples of Ogun State' Bikonu don't embarrass the good people of the state. That said, protesting at INEC office isn't the next move to ventilate the party's grievances against the outcome of the election - the did is done already. They should be busy gathering evidences needed at the tribunal by now. |
Elections could be unpredictable sha. So this man could win a re-election? |
The margin is so slim, about 14k difference. Will there be a rerun if the number of canceled votes is more than the winning margin? What says the electorate act? |
Congratulations to him. He has a bigger trust thrusted on him now, may his second reign favor Oyo people. |
What does the electoral act says again? |
Do we even need a court order before the right thing is done? |
This is likely going to be during presidential election when they all likely agree to vote a particular candidate. The stakes are higher during Governorship elections. |
I will reiterate. The government need to do something urgently as regards the irresponsible use of the social media. How can some people sit somewhere, manufacture fake news and spread such unhindered without repercussions. |
What was Donald Trump's issue with the last US elections again? |
This seems like a fabrication because I can't remember anytime Tinubu ever responded to jibes from his known foes like George and Adebanjo. If it's real, then it's more of a taunt. It will be a good thing anyways if the rift between George and Tinubu, Adebanjo and Tinubu could be settled in their lifetimes. |
Strangely, the whites ( especially Europeans) who brought the same Christianity to Africa seem to be backsliding geometrically. Or could it be that they now know something we don't know? |
But why is Jandor and Funke off the radar? |
The DSS was about arresting this guy for financial terrorism a while ago, I believe they must have gathered enough intel before making that move which was thwarted. Shame on those who supported the devilish plan when others were groaning just because they thought it will hurt the chances of their political foe, not minding the pains of over 200m Nigerians. It appears Emefiele and Buhari clearly have no expectations from posterity |
After this elections, the government need to seriously look into the deliberate act of creating and disseminating fake news either for clout chasing or propaganda purpose. |
Some people protested against this policy but were jeered at. Some Governors went to court for this same reason but were abused here. Now we all can feel the heat. |
I will never subscribe to the wholesale condemnation of the election solely because INEC, for whatever reasons, failed to upload the presidential elections real time. To be frank, we have gone past where we used to be before. BVAS clearly changed the game for those who normally manufacture votes using incidence forms - this is a plus. By now a large chunk of the results have been uploaded on the IRev and those who genuinely have contradictions between the uploaded result and the original as obtained at the polling units should point such out now. A lot of civic education and sensitisation should be embarked upon. The fact that a candidate wins a polling unit, a ward, an LG, a state or even a region does not ultimately translate into victory in a presidential election. Could INEC have done better? Definitely yes! |
Please let the victims recuperate in peace. All leading Governorship candidates have been there. Don't attempt to score cheap political point from people's misfortune. |
Anyone who is aggrieved should naturally go to court. But the President can do better by obeying court directives himself, this will instill the confidence in the judiciary in the citizens. Nigerians are waiting for him and or Emefiele to obey the Supreme Court, isn't that ironical? PMB should know that those who were cheering him on the Naira policy have started cursing him now. The party is over. |
When will these Governors realise that power has left the hands of these professionals politicians to the people on the street. Treat your people well and you won't be shopping for endorsement up and down. |
The government has a duty at hand to move ferociously against originators and purveyors of fake news, going forward. |
Ok |
It is Lagos. But pointing fingers to a particular direction will limit the scope of investigation |
Even in the state capital, portable water is a scarce commodity in most areas, not to mention rural areas. But no, this isn't peculiar to Ogun State. It's everywhere in the country. |
If this is something he has been doing regularly before now, then he should worry less, regardless of the barrage of other narratives. By the way, he has only done one of the things he was 'employed' to do. Ditto for other Governors who want to be praised for paying salaries. Time is evolving. |
This may be inevitable, and could mean that INEC has succumbed to the shenanigans of the mischief makers. Everyone knows that there's no way the commission could deploy the BVAS for the gubernatorial elections without first resetting it, so that the counting will begin from zero. What should have been demanded ab inito is the order to compel INEC to back up the info of the earlier elections in an accessible server ( if that has not been done) and make it available to all parties involved. Sadly some people know the truth but will just spread other narratives to suit whatever agenda they have, and perhaps appeal to their mob for validation. This of course does not exonerate INEC from wrong doings. |
When did he leave the party? Before or after the elections? |
The Obas eyes have seen Shege in the hands of ... |
I insist, the only difference between some people and Buhari's 2011 supporters is just social media, and maybe a little education. |
He has to visit the Oba of Lagos to give him confidence and courage. That man's eyes have seen shege. |
People like Joke Da Silva, Seyi Law, Eniola Badmus and other celebrities who didn't succumb to the bullying and intimidation deserve commendation. Those who could abuse, bully, curse anyone online for their political choice are capable of doing same thing physically if given the chance. The incidence at Lekki is unfortunate, but why close your eyes to the obvious one at Akwuzu River where bodies were clearly seen? Lagos government even set up a panel of enquiry into the incidence and all parties represented. Guess what happened somewhere else, someone who should be questioned went to court to prevent being grilled by the panel. I expect that the same energy deployed in dragging Lagos Govt should be directed to whoever was the Gov at Anambra when the bodies were found at Akwuzu River. It all reek of double standard, hypocrisy and perhaps a path towards a predetermined agenda. |
