It's going to be a tough call. The thought of another Fulani succeeding Buhari is ludicrous. But then, the tension and level of bile brewing between Igbos and Yoruba, especially online, is also worrisome. The PDP structure may sway the vote to Atiku. |
The chaotic implementation of this policy is regrettable. What I found most disturbing is that it has further exposed some opportunists and their headless mobs to be anti masses. They just want the suffering of the masses to persist just because they feel their political opponents would be discredited by it. Or how do one explain that some people are still urging Buhari and Emefiele on? Same Buhari and Emefiele they have cursed repeatedly in the near past for being utter failures. |
Who orchestrated it? People wey them suppose prosecute wan prosecute others. |
Jostoman:Neck for better. Na for blokos |
The thing is even the new notes are being hoarded. People who are lucky to have it don't want to spend it since they don't know when they'll be fortunate to get a new ones. This poorly implemented policy has further exposed who the real opportunists are. |
This policy and the attendant hardship has further exposed who the opportunists are. |
What are the security agents doing? Go after these people, burst their warehouse and recover the hidden money. This should be easier and honourable to do than punishing over 200m people for the 'sins' of few. |
It is fine for anyone to accuse the governors of ulterior motives in this naira scarcity but you can't fault the fact that ordinary Nigerians have been at the receiving ends of this ill-thought policy, and not the governors and their immediate family members. The governors should just grow some balls and direct their angers to the President and not the 'inmocent' CBN governor. |
The implementation of this beautiful is chaotic. |
That's very thoughtful of the bank. But then , is this sustainable? |
This has always been my stance. You have an intelligence report that some people have warehoused money for vote buying, why not use the same intelligence to burst them and recover the money. You also have an intel that some are going to buy votes, why not equip the security agents to be able to track, arrest and prosecute the buyers and sellers of votes. We have enough laws to prosecute such criminals. Wouldn't these be cost effective than using such amount of money to print new currencies? Why plunge over 200mllion people into needless crisis just for what appears to be an ego trip. |
Who is Oshiomole's opponent in this election self? |
Is Reno campaigning for Tinubu now or what? |
Politics is a game of deceit, backstabbing and betrayal. It is only in politics that people who habor contempt against each other, plotting against each other will openly laugh with each other? |
This is the way to go. We need to sanitise this country, and this space. You can t just wake up from wherever and accuse anyone of such doings without hard evidences to back it up. This goes both sides though. |
If he truly said this, it is unbecoming of an elder statesman of his status. |
The opposition can only see something good in the action of the government when they feel it's to their advantage. Same way some people keep urging Buhari on on this chaotic naira swap just because they feel it's to their advantage. |
When politicians switch parties at every election time, it's not unusual for them to easily forget which party they belong to again. PDAPC people them. |
I do not think anyone is worried about the deadline any longer. For instance most banks on Abeokuta are still shut after the disturbances on Tuesday. Where do you want the residents to take the old notes to? |
While it's true that crowds don't necessarily win elections, sometimes the crowd show the level of acceptance in a particular area. Anyone who could be induced to attend a rally could also be induced to vote a candidate. |
If truly some people have warehoused the old naira notes for vote buying, why not deploy adequate intelligence to burst them like recover the warehoused money? Why not adequately equip the security agencies to track, arrest and prosecuted vote buyers? We have laws to deal with such crime and criminals. There's absolutely no sense in plunging the entire country into crisis with this Nzogbu Nzogbu policy implementation that has been chaotic at best. Buhari should be wary of those urging him on because the perceive their political opponents may be affected. The truth is that they'll be the first set of people to turn around and castigate him if the crisis deepens. |
If truly some people have warehoused the old naira notes for vote buying, why not deploy adequate intelligence to burst them like it was done in Ikoyi and the Yakubu's case in Kaduna to recover the warehoused money? Display the money, name and shame the criminals. Why not adequately equip the security agencies to track, arrest and prosecuted vote buyers and sellers? We have laws to deal with such crime and criminals. There's absolutely no sense in plunging the entire country into crisis with this Nzogbu Nzogbu policy implementation that has been chaotic at best. Buhari should be wary of those urging him on because they perceived their political opponents may be affected. This could be one of those meetings at the airport when people run into each other. By the way, these guys aren't enemies. |
The handiwork of overzealous or mischief markers. He has always maintained that his vote is for PO. His choice, his right. |
A reminder of the failure and gross incompetence of the Minister of petroleum |
Well, maybe it's just to buy time. |
If this is still a democracy, anyone should be able to support his/her candidate (s) of choice without necessarily being intimidated. |
Dogara don finally enter express, he has crossed the lane. Them go roast am today. |
Why the emphasis on 'she'? |
The only man dealing with and capable of dealing with Tinubu, if at all, is no one else but Buhari |
In addition, the email said that Branch Leaders should make provision for soft drinks for customers When will they start the implementation of this part? |
Dogara don buy market. |
