DoctorHindus:
U need 3.5m dish to track PTV in Nigeria. If ur claim of receiving it in abia is true pls show us pics to convince us.

If you have a fixed setup and your primary lnbf is the Cband, you will nail it on a 2.4M.

Someone, few months back, reported nailing PTV National in Kaduna on a 2.6M.

Sometime ago, when drandronzero told us about PTV sport, because of our limited experience with the Sat, just a handful of people were able to nail the Sat.

Overtime, more and more people came on board.
So it's a work in progress and it gladdens my heart that more testimonies are revealing we can nail it on lower dish sizes than previously thought

the sat is just managing the remaining lifetime ..Intelsat 903@34 west the expected lifetime has ended...will be replaced by Intelsat 35e planned orbital position@34west upcoming launch in 2017..

Makes Newbies, think like this below

Spy360:
It hangs occasionally. Even Multitv flashes. Maybe that sat wants to expire.

@drandronzero,

After all, PTV National isnt a bad substitute for Sp24 when it finally goes down.
At least for Saturday matches.

I am enjoying every bit of it today, thus abandoning sp24 for today.

All televised today on PTV National.

From d little findings i made- i found out that Angola TV ZIMBO z d most pure futbal f-t-a without key of any sort bc from their futbal schedules u can view wednesday UCL & Saturday 3PM EPL(10756 02480)-i liked d pix qlty of tv b4 they left 7‘e to 10‘e where i cant view them now- GURUS What size of dish can lock 10‘e now? & If anyone z lock 7‘e wit 1.8m & above he should verify (11020 07200) the feed channel dat comes during live matches as it z indicated they will televise EPL eg MAN.U, ARSENAL wkend matches & report to d house

You need 4M to nail the ku band @10e

In the far north, 3.5M

drandonzero:
Today they showed 3 matches, man u, man city and Arsenal

Well maybe my timing of the matches may be the problem but I all the times I checked, they don't air.

Thanks for reaffirming. I will be more observant.

Maybe you have a different Ptv national coz last week they showed four matches,

Which matches please?
Weekend or midweek?

Below is my PTV National

Its biss key is;51 32 13 CC 9A DD EC CC. You wil enjoy de matches. Interestingly u even watch two matches. Thus on Ptv sports n Pakstan National channels. Apat from epl u also watch bundes liga.

Well, this claim of yours needs to be backed up by pictures.

My PTV sport signal has been down but my PTV National is kicking fine and I know for sure that PTV National hasn't shown any Epl match this season.

Find below pictures from the two active transponders
11977 and 12130. Also a display of the channel list of the Non functional 11843V.

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by life707: 8:29pm On Sep 22, 2016

caevee:
thanks, am gonna give it a try, it will definetely going 2 b a subtitute of sony packge

You won't get those transponders (12015,11938) even with 5M dish.

But will get the MENA beam (12130 and 11977H)
with 2.4M & above.

The European beam (11843V) was once active one my 3.5M dish but after varzish sport came on board temporarily, the signal dwindled and has remain elusive till date.

With 1.8M, u have a difficult job ahead of you, if u chose to proceed with tracking.
However, Nothing is impossible.

Right now, I can't say where to buy.

The one I got two years ago was imported from China and I bought it online.

Right now, there is no guarantee with the custom people

Good write up.
However there are positives for DC appliances especially the inductive loads eg ACs and freezers.

Especially for the AC and freezers, it has the advantage of using far less solar panels and much more efficient

An 80L freezers can use 100watts solar panel and 200ah battery with 20hrs of supply to the freezer.
U need to use it to believe it.
Currently, there are supports for the parts that requires change e.g compressors.

Also, for the AC, an 18,000BTU unit can run for 18hrs on a 48v battery bank using 1200watts of solar panels.

Lastly, if u have used those Chinese 12v pressing iron, u will know how far! And it's cheap.
On a 100ah battery and an 80watts panel, u can iron up to 5clothes with stored charge (I.e when the sun isn't up). Of course, one will iron more when the sun is firing.

Yes I agree for now, running the whole house isn't economical!!!

my 2.4 ground mount dish is motorised just remove the adjustment at the back & install ur jack there very easy

I am yet to understand the set up.
Please enlighten me.

My little knowledge, teaches me that without a declination angle, there will be no arch for the dish to focus on the various satellites as the dish moves.
So kindly throw more light before other newbies go on a wild goose chase.

Please do not connect the negative of your panel to ground ooo.
Panels have a hole on the frame for grounding!.

Also do not connect the negative of your battery to ground ooo.
Grounding your inverter covers that.

Positive, negative and earthing terminals all have their separate work.

Let's not get it twisted
