barak1:U have to wait for the next update for 66e. Many others didn't work with the available keys. There was mix up with the keys on different websites. |
Sorry Nss 12 I am talking of the 3.2M dish. Look at the edge all round the dish. It has many irregularities. Note that good reception is a function of precision and not gross outlook. By and large, we will have a better clue of its performance when you track satellites with footprints within your horizon. Definition of Terms: 1) Fringe satellites- are satellites signals not covering your location/region E.g Hotbird @13e or Astra @19.2e 2) Footprint Satellites- are satellites whose signal cover the area/ region u set up your dish. E.g ses5 @5e or nss12 (East African beam) @57e or Eutelsat 36B @ 36e In simple terms, u can nail footprint satellites with small dish E.g 60 or 90cm while you will require bigger dish to receive fringe satellites. E.g 2.4M dish. So let's know what you can receive with your 3.2m first before searching for fringe satellites. I hope this helps. |
Let's start one thing at a time. Learn to say few things per time for clarity sake. Your dish looks quite bad for fringe reception but it can nail satellites within your footprint. So Start by tracking satellites within your footprint like 1) AB3@ 3W. Use 11150V45000 (mine97%) 2) Nss 10 @57e. Use 11009H3254(mine is 82%) and 11105H45000(mine is 64%) 3) ses5 @5e. Use 11727H27500 or 11747V27500 (mine 97%). By tracking these easy to get satellites in your horizon and noting the highest % quality, it will to some extent give an idea of the performance of your dish. So carry out this task and get back to the house. |
Note that you are in the southern hemisphere so most of the satellites available to you are in the Atlantic region |
Your dish has seen better days. Plenty of contours on it and could affect the performance. Any way, with your location and using a 3.2M dish.. Fringe sats you may receive include: 1)Paksat 1r @38e Cband 2) mashreq beam of Arabsat 5a @ 30.5e Ku band 3)Nss 10 @ 57e. Ku band 4) Eutelsat @ 8W Ku East beam 5) AM express @ 11W middle East beam 6) Badr 6/7 @26e 7) Eshail @25.5e Try these for a start |
To FTA Enthusiasts! Copied From Another Site: I found it fantastically very relevant. How NOT to Abuse Your Membership of a Group Platform on Social Media . 1.) DMerciful:From my experience, those Chinese inverters with transformers don't have this charging problems but those light weight nontransformer types ends up messing ones battery |
Chinedu7:No chinedu7, I was referring to the C-band he probably bought in Jos. Below is the one I also bought in Jos. It's different from the one you posted. It was hyped with "made in California, USA"
|
folex:Try what chinedu7 said. I don't want to discourage you but that blue carton Supermax is the weakest C- band lnb I have ever used. I have two of them, dual inputs that couldn't serve the purpose and in their carton. I guess you bought from the shop adj to masalachi jumaa in jos |
Euro 2016 FTA channels/sats 1) Eutelsat 9b @9e : 12034V27500- FTA a) TF 1 Suisse HD b) M6 Suisse HD 2) Hotbird @13e ...FTA a) ZDF - 11054H27500 b) Das Erste - 11541V22000 3) Turksat @42e : 11958V27500 - FTA a)TRT 1 More FTA channels will surely become known as the tournament draws closer. |
Sorry, I was referring to 21.6e not obtainable on 90cm |
Important factors to consider when combining two or more satellites are 1) Footprint. 2) Distance between the satellites 3 Signal strength (Erwp level). In as much as distance between satellites is important, the signal strength is paramount. On a small dish of 90cm, a satellite of low Erwp level e.g Eutelsat 7w and 7e can only be tracked with the primary LNB. So if 7w is primary how do you track 7e with the secondary lnb?. The logic here is that both satellites require a minimum of 90cm to pop up. In other words, both MBC @ 7w and RTS @ 7e can't be nailed on 60cm individually. From my experience, satellites with very high Erwp levels (e.gnss7 @22w Ab3 @3w, ses5 @5e, Amos@17e, Joytv @28.2e ) are easily tracked on 60cm and can be combined using the secondary lnb. From the foregoing, 7w can be the primary on a 90cm and 22w can be the secondary lnb and not the other way round. Even though, the distance between them is the same. I hope this helps. NB: check your facts about 21w on 90cm....I doubt very much. I did a lot of research on this satellite when I introduced the 3 in 1 lnb thread back in 2010. |
EuroBeam:You need 4M dish |
davodyguy:I think so too, sooner than later, the signal may be weaken. |
@davodyguy Note that u haven't been getting answers about it cos we depend on some these channels to keep our viewing steady. The moment, u talk here ,next thing is, it does not only get scrambled or keys get changed but the frequency disappears out of your reach, just like I talked about Verzish Sport HD earlier today. |
Using dish pointer app on Android was discussed on this forum more than 1year ago. EuroBeam:Well am talking from practical point of view about out of footprint channels. Of course we can nail the African beam on Astra 28.2e. As at March/April 2015, sky UK was no longer receivable on 4M dish. There was a case then on this forum, where a Sat mate here had to seek opinions here because he bought a 4.4M fibre dish but couldn't track sky UK. It was when other members here confirmed that it was no longer possible that the case was laid to rest. I hope you understand what am saying. |
davodyguy:It's a feed on Azerspace @46e C-band. Frequency: 4050H30000 |
EuroBeam:Well, DST* may have control over beams within the subsahara that can be nailed on 90cm and below but beyond that it's out of their control.. The sat providers are bias towards us. Sky UK was initially available on 2.4M, then moved to 3M, later 4M dish and now it's 5M dish. |
Nothing important on the MENA beams presently One needs a Ku LNB and at least 2.4M pan or fibre dish |
The European satellite providers are very selfish when it comes to wider beam coverage. A recent example is with the European beam on yahsat 52.5e (11843v27500). As of 3weeks ago I could nail the channels @70% while the MENA beams were 74- 77%. The moment Varzish sport (FTA) moved to that transponder, the signal disappeared here while all the western European and Arab Magreb countries can nail it on 60cm. I still nail the other MENA beams including the recent one that came up about 3days ago. My 50cents |
In fact ,just checked again on my receiver, it up to BEIN sport 17 |
BEIN sport is now available on 3M pan here in Jos since early March. Available on Eshail 25.5E slightly away from badr 26E. NB: for BEIN sport channels to pop up you have to shift slightly away from the badr channels BEIN sport HD 1 - 13 and all their movie channels including foxmovies Below are pictures of the only two free chanels @ 60%
|
sauceEEP:You have moved way beyond your intended target satellite position. Recommendation: 1) First know your coordinates i.e a)Track ses4 @5e and Mark the position on the pole b) Track Eutelsat 16A @ 16e and also mark the position 2) This means Eutelsat 9e is located between the two points you marked. Any thing outside these points will take to joy TV or dstv. 3) Alternatively, track Eutelsat 7e instead of ses4 @5e but Eutelsat 7e harder to nail than 5e. Practice makes perfect!!. Just a matter of time. Cheers |
Imagine looking at your dish as looking at a clock For Western satellites: E.g Nilesat, Hispasat Skew is 5 or 10 0' clock position for maximum signal on Ku band For Eastern satellites: E.g Eutelsat 9e, Astra 28.2e Skew is 2 or 8 O' Clock position. |
Akinige: Akinige:If you can go to your dish right, turn the LNB skew to 5 0' Clock facing your dish and you will be very happy tonight. |
sunene1:11938v But on my present setup 11785V is the highest @84% |
Quite Interesting to watch @57e
