Spy360:Both Bayern vs juve and Barca vs Ars are free depending on your dish size. |
Freddygaz: Dreay01:You require a 3M pan however for those getting 12015V and 11977 and can't get the other frequencies, u may have to adjust slightly. Initially, on my motorized setup, I wasn't able to nail the other frequencies until I made some adjustments on my declination angle... With slight compromise on Nilesat signal from 78% to 72% |

adinanabdulsamad:On top of that pole, you can comfortably mount a 1.8M pan dish and enjoy more satellite signal and stable pictures. NB: Assuming you are willing to part with the cash |
Info: for those with BEIN sport decoder, signal is now very stable on 3M at Eutelsat 25B @ 25.5E |
Autoroll function - What is it? How does it Work? Why do I need it? Background; The satellites transmit the signals to us on with their transmitters known as Transponders(TP's). The satellite has 16 or more Transponder's. Each Transponder has its own frequency unique to that satellite. Each Transponder's frequency carries a data stream, this data stream has a number of channels. The faster the data stream the more channels it will carry, these channels can be allocated to what we know as TV/Radio channels. To keep the satellites data stream secure, the providers use a scrambling program that has variable encoding, the variable encoding controls the scrambling and de-scrambling, these are that we call "KEYS". These keys are indivually changeable by the provider and are kept in the receiver in sets of two or more. How does it work? The "Keys" are PROVIDER specific, and are the same for all the currently used satellites that that provider controls. The same keys will be used for all of the satellites in ALL of the satellite orbital positions for that provider (Bev, ES). The Keys are a sequience of 16 individual 2 alpha numeric characters. There are always 2 or more SETS of keys, that the provider can change individually, and only one key that is the "active key". The "Active key" is the one that is currently used to de-scramble the data stream. The secondary or "Non-active keys" are held in reserve by the provider and the provider can switch his subscribers to one of the the secondary set of keys through the data stream. To the subscriber the key change would be seamless, provided the subscribers receiver was on and in operation. The early FTA receivers were originally designed for manual key entry, as the providers key change was infrequent, and the FTA receivers required only a small amount of memory to accommodate this. However as a part of the providers security scheme they started more frequent key changes and manual FTA key changes became more frequent and problematic. To accommodate the more frequent key changes, and convenience, the FTA coders incorporated in their programs a automatic key change sub-program that we know as "Auto roll". Auto Roll; is incorporated into the program (.bin/.pgm) that we down load into our receivers, its function is to detect a key change, and then (Auto) roll the keys until the receiver decodes the data stream, and we get our video/audio. The auto roll program was put into operation after the the early receiver were sold. With the increase of provider sophisticated en-coding schemes, limited memory and limited computing power of the early receivers, the receiver decoding programs are getting to large for the memory limitations of the older receivers. This is why on these receivers we are having to manually change the keys. The providers are currently increasing the frequency of the key changes, and the placement of the keys in the data stream, ECM's(Electronic Counter Measures). Recommendations; Currently "autoroll" is a necessity, no longer a luxury. All of the current FTA receiver programs have the autoroll feature. When upgrading or purchasing a FTA receiver, the faster the processor, the more memory and most important - FAST programing support, the better it will be for you. I highly recommend a " SEASONED" receiver. Seasoned = been on the market 2 years or longer with a good track record of supporting its products with program updates. Support = How long does it take the receiver manufacture to get the program for the receiver adjusted and YOUR receiver up & running after a major ECM (Electronic Counter Measure). This will be YOUR down time, and the $20.00 that was saved on the bargain receiver may not have been such a great deal! The best during the last BIG ECM, Viewsat and Sonicview were the top 2. Ogojohn:If you have the privilege of watching MBC HD on 26E and MBC SD on 7w simultaneously you will know that, what Arbourboateng said is true. Its not about delay transmission, just that the two channels have two separate programs and champion TV simply broadcasts the signal from MBC HD on their platform |
abohwun:You can't nail Hotbird with 2.6M pan dish in Zaria. You need 3M pan and above. You also cannot combine Hotbird and Nilesat on one dish as they are both fringe sats here. However, you can motorized the dish to get both. If you need 3M pan, u can easily get from Kaduna |
For those yet to know.. Channels TV HD on 1.5M dish, loud , clear and FTA. Eutelsat 8 @ 8W C-band. Freq: 3840 L(H) 2400

SweetWJ:There is no rancour, just stating what is practical. From the above post, its clear you are new here. I live in the northern Nigeria (I have lived in Zaria, Kaduna,Ikara 10mins from kano and Maiduguri. Presently in Jos for 4yrs now. I use 3.5M pan dish motorised and I track myself, not waiting for someone to do it for me. All the biss keys you are posting are on najmsat etc. Its no secret but we know what can or cannot be tracked on 2.4, 3or 4M dish. Understanding it goes beyond googling and pasting here. I don't know it all but I won't start copying and pasting info I aint sure of. I hope u get my drift Cheers...oneluv |

Eldorado382:Tracking frequency 4184 v 2815(capital TV 72% for me on SRT4930L). No dielectric plate 2 O'Clock skew |
pls hw can a learner wit variety of big dishes know d beam dat is trackable or in trackable at someone location? i

" representing the various beams If using flysat (which I prefer), the beams are on the right side unlike lyngsat which is on the left as illustrated above Look at the maps below and you will understand that 2.4M dish can't hit both Northern n Russian beams There are many technicalities involved in analysing which can or cannot be nailed which will require other illustrations including Erwp(dbw) signal strength analysis.

manny1969:African beam is off Right now |
SweetWJ:You can't nail all these frequencies coz they are senior fringe signals |

@satmaniac, being trying to reply your email but its not going tru since sat. |
odilibe:I thought about that too, changed from 9750/10600 to 9750/10750 but my signal disappeared so went back to 9750/10600 as expected. I started having the issue when I noticed some frequencies on hotbird went red plus have been doing alot of frequency search lately since Eri tv2 went off. I have the latest patch on it but I ts possible that I got a bug on the receiver as it temporarily blanks out when I change between channels. What do you think? |
seyekan:If you are using a motorized setup and u temper with the polarity setting of some transponders, channels may pop up on a different frequency. To overcome this problem is to delete the affected frequencies, re input manually and rescan or do a factory reset and rescan. I don't want to lose some vital frequencies and info on my 4930L that's why I didn't bother with resetting. Even on nile sat I get mbc on two different transponders I didnt touch my 69xii and the frequencies are as expected. By and large those channels are free and clear on both Nilesat and badrbadr. |

@Manir Try 12264H27500 @Odilibe n George D Good analysis on the long term n overall benefits of motorized big dishes. Little or No hazzles after initial installation @graphicon, I understand that you look at overall cost from most of your previous posts but let's critically analyse from COST perspective. For those that love football, Imagine paying #14,000 per month to watch premium channels x12 months = #168,000 for one year then next year, that amount plus possible increment. On the other hand, installing a 4M motorized pan dish will cost plus/minus #100,000 stat, then enjoyment subsequently As George D pointed out, There is the stress of always tracking in the sun/ rain from one satellite to another or installing multiple 90 or 60 cm will lead to loss of valuable man hours and overall poor results in terms of watching football. NB: Many folks install big dishes for various reasons ranging from being a hobby to being economical etc. Mind you some people are genuinely willing to spend that much but have space constraints while others that unwilling to spend that much hide under the guise of space constraints.
